I do have a problem with getting jumped. We've waited at times over a day for some people to post and nobody has jumped initiative before or had cause to prompt them to be more active. To all of a sudden decide that people cant be waited on is not cool imo. I'll give it a go but if it doesn't suit me then I will give you a heads up before bowing out. This is a slow posting group and it hasn't been an issue for what 6-7 months?
And I see what youre saying but maybe just ask people to be more active. Are we trying to rush through this whole thing by a deadline or RP our way through the story and have fun with combat too? Everybody in this game has been posters for years on here so fear of no longevity isn't a real issue.

'Oh, they're definitely hideous...looks like the crew is getting soft. Its a gods damned shame.' Kabal replied quietly to Bree. A part of him wished they were a million miles away but Kabal wasnt much on wishing. 'Come on, lets see whats up.' and he took her by the hand and strode back towards the others.
'So what's the plan? Sounds like we need to get a move on. Maybe the rangers can help with getting word to Sandpoint. Hopefully there still set up out side here.'
Kabal kept his eyes on the hags just knowing they would try to stuff one of them in their cookpot if they had half a chance.

Kabal shoudlve known their group would disparage over morals and lean towards hypocracy at many a turn. It hadnt been that long ago that some were harumphing about their deal with the demon and now here they were entreating with a bunch of hags...the bloody nerve...damn near every religious zealot picks and chooses whats 'right and wrong' and damn you if you think any different... except Winter...now there was a straight up fellow... The warrior had half a mind to stride right up and start swinging his axe at the hags' nappy heads but right now he couldnt care less what they did with the vile things.
He gently took Bree by the elbow and lead her away.
'Look, back there with the giants....I didnt mean to bark at you like that...I just uh...heat of the battle and all...' Kabal fumbled with his words as bad as a squire with his first blade and had no idea how to say that what he fealt. So he elected to show how. The big man pulled Bree close and wrapped his arms around her small frame and just held her.

Lip curled, Kabal seethed as their adversary kept playing the part of coward flying about. Aleitha's shout made sense but the only bow he had was the one they took from the dead wight and he wasnt risking dropping his axe to get it out just now.

I moved Kabal where I wanted him for this round already. Hence the 5' in ooc on last post. He's purposely between the giants and Bree and his other squishy comrades and there is no way he would move back before her or any of the others,excepting may be the other tank Karlan as he could take a hit or two. Kabal is unhurt and doesnt require healing. Now lets wreck these fools! And hopefully save Sable too.

With a grumbled, 'Blast it.' Kabal got to his feet just slightly embarrassed and angrier than he'd been before. The warrior took in the situation and sneered when he saw the biggest of the giants flying above his head...chicken s%*~... Their group was all sorts of out of place and Kabal meant to change that and growled directions at Bree. Hew as seething that once again the others had dawdled way behind and knew it might cost them dearly.

Taking in the scene all Kabal knew was that he had to get himself between the giant and Bree...and Sable...what in damnation is he doing up there anyways?... The big man spit as he took long, loping strides to charge the bigger of the two giants and came down with an overhead chop as he leaped the last bit of distance towards his new foe.

With cave passages heading in every direction Kabal kept a white knuckled grip on his axe. He fully expected enemies to rush them from any direction at any time now. His ears strained to hear to the sound of pounding feet headed at the group.

...damn that is one dour priest...all doom and gloom, Kabal thought listening to Karlan and he moved past the holy man to stand at the entrance to the cave. A part of him didn't like Bree going in alone but he trusted in her and he knew the witch would give him the queue if he was needed to rush in after her.

Kabal fought the urge to pull Bree in closer when she pulled away but he was mindful that they were in public. The kiss surprised him more than a gut full of steel would have and he just started processing some of the torrent of words that tumbled from her, "Leave? Mistake? No, no mistake lass and I aint going anywhere. Slow and steady from here right?"
Feeling a rumble from his stomach, Kabal realized that he hadnt eaten all day... worrying for nothing... He placed his hand on the small of Bree's back and gently ushered her towards the inn where they could eat, drink and make plans with the others for the coming trip to the ogre's mountain lair.

Kabal was in deep crap as far as he could figure. Pretty lasses always left him tongue tied unless he was drunk. But as dangerous as he knew Bree was she was looking vulnerable at the moment... careful now...

Kabal had avoided Bree by spending the afternoon amongst the Rangers but he was caught stone cold as she walked out of the bar right as he approached it...mothers milk in a cup...damn girl will probably gut me now... It was unfortunate that the Brevian was ill equipped for such things and he was feeling like a lech for how he'd manhandled her earlier... she didn't exactly struggle bub...bah! she's probably forgotten all about it by now...
