That's a tough one. We got decimated. The only group I know of that made it with no deaths, meta-gamed pretty hard to make sure they had the right capabilities present in the party.

I was actually going to suggest that since I don't think normal sharks could even hurt me without a crit while the stoneskin was up.

Truly it was an epic struggle. We succeeded by our skill and the oppositions lack thereof. Is the traitorous drake truly dead or should we turn her nearly dead self over to your authorities?

move over hostage, if either of them are not blinded I am generating an AoO from them.

HOW ABOUT YOU TRY SOMETHING THAT FIGHTS BACK?!? Jorin screams while thrashing the water trying to draw their attention to him rather than the helpless hostages.

Dang! Totally forgot I had a dolphin. Guess I will say it spent last round getting into position. Since dolphins hate sharks and are fairly intelligent, it would go for them.

GM, do you mean they are in the first chamber that is open to the ocean or are they actually outside the shell?

Liam, I'm intending to go for the dragon. So I would like the acid protection if you have enough.
I will summon another dolphin with my wand just before opening the door. It might distract the sharks for a few moments.
If I can't get to the dragon right away, I will try to dazzle the eyes of a few if possible.

Jorin swims straight for the fang and attempts to rip it from the wall with brute force.

Holy One, I am Jorin de'Morcaine the Risen Guard. We have limited details of this location. What we have learned is that is the mortal remains of one know as Riam and that his been defiled by a group of evil usurpers. Add in all the rest that we have learned about the shell and Riam. We are here to cleanse and restore this place. Also to see what can be done to remove some of the imbalance between good and evil on the elemental planes.

I have a swim speed from Monkey Fish. If you think that would have worn off by now. I would have cast Animal Aspect - Otter before opening the door to keep a swim speed.

Dang! My AC is 1 worse while polymorphed since my armor was absorbed. So I took 3 hits. I am in bad shape. I should have cast Shield instead of the Corrosive Touch. hp: 10/73

Where would you get Freedom of Movement from? Also, why would it help you wield a whip? Just the whole slashing-weapon-underwater thing?

Vortex says it works like Whirlwind but underwater. Whirlwind says you transform yourself into a whirlwind of the given dimensions. The ability doesn't reference your space or reach in any way, just the height of the whirlwind. So no, reach weapons wouldn't do anything for you.

DOH! Sorry, for some reason I locked onto the Whirlwind attack feat.

Ok, I've had it for a while, but this is the first opportunity I've had to use elemental body.

1) I am now a small water elemental. I can still use my weapons and spells since an elemental is a humanoid figure and can speak. Correct?

2) This does not give me freedom of movement to use something like a whip without penalties. Correct?

3) Would the vortex ability work with a reach weapon, like a long spear, to strike everyone within 10 feet?

I am back now. I don't believe being an elemental gives me freedom of movement, so I have to use the spear instead of the whip.
