I have certainly been enjoying the game as well, but it has been being a bit slow recently. But whatever you decide GM is okay with me.

Jaxy's eyes light up at the information that they are following someone as important as a 'teacher of teachers.' Ooooooooh, Thanks Dribble! You're so smart!"

He bounds up to the 'Professor' and excitedly starts chattering away. "You teacher teachers? Can you teach me to be a teacher? I reeeeaaaaalllllly want to teach people about the 'pin and safferan' of life! It'd make life soo much easier for me!"

And yes that was meant to be ironic. Don't know if it truly is, but I'd like to think it is.

"The Universe City! That sounds like an amazing place! If you don't have a car I'm sure I can go find us one." The little one then starts to eye the road, clearly thinking about maybe running out and catching a car. Just like in the holovids!

The expat community in my area had our Thanksgiving last weekend, so no Turkey for me this week.

Jaxy snaps his fingers, "Dang I guess he isn't a customer. Noone seems to want my services. Oh well, It's nice to meet you!" Jaxy then bounds over to the taller man and in the traditional skittermander six arm greeting. Breaking off the hug, he looks the man over and gives him a thumbs up. "I like the outfit! ....So you come from a Uni...vers....al city? What's that like?"

Jaxy decides that he wants the strawberry bubble bath and spends a long time in the baths playing with the toy boats, puttering them around the baths and even playing giant-monster-versus-tiny-boat with them.

As he gets out, he looks around for the hair gel to put his mohawk back in and gives a frown as he finds there isn't any. He meets up with everyone elsewith much cleaner and silkier hair, but a good six inches shorter with out his 'fan'.

He sees what everyone is talking about before pulling out his personal comms unit and trying to log into SPcaebook and look for the contact.

He gives puzzeled look at the device commenting, "Wait there's two thousand Whalosses on here! Do we have to 'link' with all of them?"
Abesentmindedly, he messes with the loose hairs on his head before asking, "Mind if we go get some hair gel on the way? I miss my fan!"

tomorrow is going to be a very long day at work and the next few days until Monday are likely going to be some of the busiest and most tiring days of work I will face this year. I will try to keep posting but it might be spotty and will likely be lower quality than normal. If things are waiting on Jaxy, bot him or have him stand there staring at what ever is happening a small dribble of drool hanging from his face as whatever he couldn't wrap his head around quickly gives way to thoughts of food.

Jaxy Looks over their remodeled ship, glad he got Ack to spring for painting it purple. With a smile on his face he scurries of to buy a lot of snacks and food and some fruits and some vegetables and some meats and some drinks, stashing the perishables in the refrigerator and everything else in random spots around the ship. He makes sure to acquaint himself with the gunner's seat. and pads it with extra cushions to fit his smaller frame. He even stashes a few snacks in it for safe keeping.

He gazes longingly at the slightly too large turret on top of the ship, giddy over the chance to possibly use the thing.

Finding out he hadn't taken the seatbelts in his seat into account when putting the cushions in, Jaxy looks up from rearranging them to look at Daddy Cha with a puzzled look on his face. "Bu... but... Pharasma's your god of death too... huh?"

This should be an updated version of the sheet. The 90 point of shield don' split evenly so we'll have to decide how we want to split them later (and technically we can decide at the start of combat how we want to split the shields as long as every section has at least 10% of the total.)

I'd argue against the twin link, the cost for getting another mount and the second light particle beam would be one BP less than just upgrading to a particle beam that'd do more damage overall and shoots at long range, though leaving the flak thrower alone is fine by me, though.

Jaxy bounds around excitedly as the talk turns to their new ship. "We're going on a space trip, going on a space trip, going on a space trip on our nice little ship! Wait can we paint it purple?"

He then listens to the conversation of the Venture-Captain and Daddy Cha'Cha, but doesn't get most of what's being brandied about, until towards the very end. "Wait we need to go to a forb'dd'n area? Ohhhh, taht sounds fun! What do we need to do to go there? When I was training, we had to sneak around in the early early morning!"

So to update that to a tier 4, we need to spend or change out things so we have 115 Build Points. To start with I'm going to outline how much everything in the current iteration of the ship costs in BP and Power Core Units to get a foundation of what is going on with this ship.

It doesn't give a list of how much they cost, but the book later does list expenses for countermeasures.

Assuming the Recreation suites aren't seperate expenses, then this ship has spent all of it's build points perfectly and in combat uses exactly 147 of the 150 PCU available (if we want to go to drift we can't use the thrusters and a weapon/the HAC, but we couldn't use the thrusters anyways).

Things that might be good to look at, Upgrading the Power Core for more PCU (2 or 5 BP more would give us an extra 25 of 50 PCU to use). Changing out the Extra Aft Weapon mount for a Turret (only an extra 2 BP), upgrading thrusters (extra 2 speed for 10 extra PCU and 1 extra BP, however imparts a -1 to piloting checks), Upgrading the computer ( for a mk. 2 duo or tri node +5 PCU and +6-10 BP) or the armor (+6 BP)/counter measures (ratcheting up that TL is pretty cheap +1/2 PCU and +2/3 BP per +1). If we want more fire power, getting a Heavy Laser Cannon on our Turret instead of the light partical beam would be 4 BP I think (6 BP to change the light to a heavy, and then trade in the 10 BP Light partical beam for an 8 BP Heavy laser cannon) or a partical beam for 11. WE could also change up the shields for more health.

Personally, I'd say lets bump the PCU up to a Pulse Red (175 PCU; +2 BP), then get the flak thrower on a turret (+2 BP), upgrade the current turret to a Partical Beam (+6 for the light to heavy turret mount, +5 for the BP cost, +15 PCU) and then get a set of Medium Shields 90 (+
5 BP, +10 PCU). Aleternatively, we could leave the flak thrower alone and get the next level up in shields (100, costs +7 bp). We'd get a boost to shields, but lose the ability to shoot missiles that get too close.

A little later, having played with the goblin doll action figure to the point it melted into a pile of goo and then was eaten, a much browner looking Jaxy listens to the venture-captain's briefing obviously excited. "Ohhh, do we get to go to Castrovel? That sounds like fun! ...but what's a ze-know-Archie-o-low-G and ze-know-an-throw-pot-O-low-G?"

Jaxy gives the receptionist-lady a great big hug, glad to see her again. "Kotora's right, you do look good! Did you do something to your hair?"

In the office, Jaxy gives a very broad and expansive recount of the events, focusing heavily on his pregnancy and how the nausea made it so hard to try eating and then how his kid became Daddy Cha'Cha's as well, even asking him to show the little one off!

As the conversation turns to talks about searching the database, Jaxy tries to muscle in on Ack's tasty rations, before wandering over to the computer, nothing better to do than watch from under the Venture-Captain's elbow.

Jaxy enjoyed the five minutes of fame he got, trying to capitalize on everyone on the street rushing up to him to talk, freely handing out a new business card with every selfie and getting odd looks in return. Due to his constant offering of 'help to end the 'pin'n'safferin' of everyone, his moment in the spotlight comes to an end even faster than normal.

He often drags Ack out of his goblin nest of a room and goes to the various food stalls and eateries that are within walking distance of their lodgings, sometimes even bringing back some food to make sure Daddy Cha'Cha is eating.

Glad to run into the other two skitters in the group, the purple skitter almost barrels the other two over. "Oh, my! Kotora! Dribble! You two are looking amazing! Dribble somethings different about you... did you get your teeth polished? Kotora! Give me a hug!"

He then turns just in time to see Ack's door sliding closed. He rushes the door and sticks a few hands into it before it can close all the way. "OI, Ack. We're on our way to see the dead-but-not-dead man! You can't go back to sleep!" Forcing the door open, he steps into the room and bodily hauls the goblin out into the hallway. "Ya got everything you need?"

looking up from Ack packing his things, Jaxy finds Cha' With a shout of glee, the skitter rockets into the shirren, before spreading all six arms and leaping into a flying full body hug. "DADDY CHA'CHA! I haven't seen you in FOREVER! How you been doing. Dang you feel a little more bulky. Have you been working out? Without me? Ahhh, next time let me know I'd love to workout with you! My you aren't looking so good! Has little Jaxy been stressing you? Let me see him, I'll give him a stern talking too! is he doing okay? I worry about the little guy..."

As soon as the group is together, Jaxy gives everyone a smile and asks quite innocently, "Anyone feel like dying today? ...No? Okay let's go meet the dead-but-but-not-dead man!"

I'm going to be travelling form this Wednesday, August 1st, to August 19th, visiting Canada and then my parents in the States. I won't have a computer or data, so all posting will be done via wifi and phone, so things might be a bit shorter than usual.

Jaxy hangs back in the room with the dead woman, there not being much for him to handle there as the woman's already left the land of 'pin n'safferen.' He does watch her face, though, having seen it somewhere before but not quite able to place it... But his pondering gets cut off as the woman's message mentions getting the Sunrise Maiden. "Wait does this mean we get a ship? WE GET THE SHIIPP? That pretty purple one that's towing the asteroid? Yayyyy!" He excitedly jumps up and then turns around and heads back down the hall. "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go see if there's anyone who needs our help still in that other hall and then let's go get OUR ship!"

When it seems that everyone is ready to move, Jaxy excitedly lead the group into the next room, only to get confronted with the arcane powers that are a computer. Frowning over the thing he reaches out to press a button before getting stopped by Ack in time.

"Oh, Boo. It's just a computer... But it'd be fun if it had a shooting game!"

That's fair enough, having a good break and allowing yourself to focus on recuperating (and face the GameDay with an open GM schedule) isn't a bad idea! I hope you have a good time, and come back to GMing when you feel better about running this!

Jaxy barely contains himself polishing his weapons as the group decides to take a rest. But he does calm himself down and start breathing a little easier from the thing that attacked him.

Also taking 10 minutes to heal the 10 SP Jaxy has lost. I take it the temporary strength damage is not going to go away?
A little more refreshed, he excitedly follows in behind Daddy Cha-Cha and with a look around the hallway looking thing, decides on a direction. "Ohhhhh! Let's go left!" he says as he points to his right where Cha has already started moving in. "I'll lead!"

Jaxy nods in an oddly childish satisfaction as he sees the hungry mother in the green trimmed outfit go down. "Rest in peace! May Pharasma see that you find a good home!" His small prayer finished he turns to the other one and finds it feeding on Kotora!

With an indignant look on his face he hefts his doshko up again and snorts. "OI! No feeding off Kotora! She's barely skin and bones as is!" He then brings the heavy weapon down on the mother.

Jaxy glances over at Kotora, frowning as well. "Normally dead things don't move, right? So can we say these are dead? They're just overly tired and hungry single mothers! No?"

Jaxy did have his taclash ready, did neither of the enemies provoke?

The strong appendages smash into his armor brusing the flesh beneath, and making Jaxy grunt in pain! "OWWW! I know you're hungry but I'm NOT food, stupidface!"

Pissed the little skitter brandishes his dosnko and takes a low sweeping cut at the mother.

Jaxy then rushes into the room, all weapons readied and tries putting a laser hole in the one in green.

After a few seconds making gaggy faces over the grotesque appearances of the moving things, Jaxy sneaks back down the hallway to everyone else, excitedly gesturing them over. In a low, but clearly energized voice, he relays the info. "There's two of those shambling people in there! Let's take them out together!"

At Daddy Cha-Cha's suggestion, Jaxy gives a nod. "Ohhhh! I like it! Maybe Ack can go with you too? He's pretty good with that hammer and if he gets hit you can heal him! I'll lead this side in! Sound good?"

Jaxy gives a slight pout for a second as the thing goes down. Dang I wanted to bring it down... After a second though, his frown splits into a smile and he hustles over to Kotora! "Nice shot! That electricity seemed to really rile up that see-through-y thing! Hope it stays dead! I've been told to never really trust those types of people. I mean he completely ignored Dosh! That's just rude!"

Jaxy's eyes light up as Daddy Cha-Cha mentions the possibility of more of them being around. With a face halfway between excitement and worry he comments "More of those things? You think? Well, we'll have to go kill them then!"

He catches sight of the shirren sitting down in the corner though, and settles down some. "Oh, I guess we can rest up." After about thirty secondes of trying to sit still, the skitter is up and about looking all over the asteriod examining the walls, floor and ceiling looking for something interesting.

Hefting Lazy, he trains his sights on the wispy thing and takes a shot. and then another trying to draw its attention back to him.

A small jiggle of excitement starts to vibrate in the lower extremities of the little skitter as he sees his doshko is going to connect and cleave mightily into the floating thing in front of him. It stops dead as he sees the weapon pass right through the thing. A look of shock and confusion crosses his face. "B. bu. bu. ub. BUT WHA? That's not fair! How can I help you pass on if I can't cut you? I call foul!"

When Daddy Cha-Cha gives his advice though, Jaxy perks up some. "So shoot at it with Lazy, eh? Perfect!" Leaving the Doshko half embedded in the asteroid, Jaxy backs off a step and trains the sights of lazy onto the floating thing. "This is for Dosh!"

Hmm, does coordinated shot still work even if I can't deal damage? Cause the thing is still in taclash range!

Jaxy gives a grunt as the thing takes a swipe across the front of his armor and knocking some of the breath out of him. He shakes his head and with Cha's inspiring words pops back up and readies his doshko to take another swing. "Grrr, that was annoying! Just die already!"

With a slightly peeved look, he hefts the doshko and slices it down across the thing.

Jaxy, noticing Ack is spaced out gives a snicker and pulls out a sheet with a likeness of the goblin painted on. Tossing it over his head he rushes up behind the goblin knocks him out with a swift chop to the neck and then gives a spooky call. "WoOoOoOo! I'm ACKBOoOoOoT!

Will save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17

AckBOT shoots his rifle at the floating thing before stepping closer to the fight. And says "Look at me! I'm a goblin and very smart! Jaxy is my best friend! We always eat food together! Never mind the six arm shaped bulges around my stomach!"

Done playing at being Ack, Jaxy stands the goblin back up, conks him on the head to wake him up and rushes back into place, almost forgetting the sheet.

"You're weird, wispy floaty thing! Would you like my help with dying?" As he dodges the swipe, he gives a smile of understanding. "Got it! I'll do my best!"

He reaches onto his back and pulls out his Doshko, before winding up and swinging at it. "Got it Cha! He'll be mince ... floaty stuff!"

Sorry got distracted last night and forgot that I could make an attack! Is the map correct and there's a ten foot space between Jaxy and the monster?
Jaxy hefts Lazy and takes aim at the slightly wispy thing in front of him. "I don't like the look of this thing! It's waaaayyyyy to see-through to be trusted!" Seeing no one else attacking or doing anything, Jaxy shrugs all six shoulders and takes the shot.

Jaxy then slides down the walls and around to the side of the creature, drawing his taclash as he goes.

Jaxy looks at Kotora puzzled for a second before slowly nodding. "That's a good saying! Your momma sounds very smart!"

However as soon as Ack pops in with his pearl of wisdom, Jaxy's eyes widen in awe. "...But not as smart as our Ack! I'm going to have to write that one down!"
Jaxy sets down Lazy and pulls out a small pad to type out the saying on "...making a leftie..." He then puts away the pad, looks up and catches sight of the downed dead body.

With a bow and a few words of celebration, Jaxy turns to the east and starts along the corridor before stopping and calling out "Lazy! Come!" Gun in hand he continues on.

Jaxy gives a surprised burble as the corpse starts speaking. He backs away and brings Lazy up to his chest in a clearly defensive posture. "What is it doing?! Dead things aren't supposed to do that! " He glances over at Daddy Cha-Cha, wide-eyed in terror. "Did you do that? Is it dangerous? Is that what a Pharama ...ma... ma-min can do? I don't think I like it..."

Rushing out of the room, with the creepy corpse, Jaxy rounds the corner on another creepy corpse, but this one is moving and THIS time he's prepared. "OH, Pharasma, No you don't! I'm not letting any creepy dead things get me!" With a low growl the small skitter takes aim with his lazer and fires a single shot at the thing.

Then drawing his Doshko, Jaxy slides behind Daddy Cha-Cha and along the wall before stepping up behind the creep thing. "Oi, over here! You don't get to get my friends either!"

Putting on a much more sympathetic look, Jaxy pats Cha on the back again, this time comforting. "He'll be alright in the afterlife.... Wait you said there were things Pharasma...mins could do. Can you show me?"

Jaxy pops his head back into the room to see what is taking everyone so long, and is just in time to catch Clara's last few words. With a cocked head, the skitter stops for a second. She does seem to care... but that care doesn't extend to killing... ooodddd! But then some many non-skitters are...

With one more look at the woman, Jaxy slides in slowly and gives her a brief hug, whispering, "You're a strange lady, but I guess you do care. I'll forgive you for not trying to kill us!" He then jumps clear, gives her a wave goodbye, and runs down the hallway, shouting, "There's 'Dan'erous creatures' in here and I wanna meet 'em! Let's go!"

Jaxy looks back at the other two skitters embracing the android. With an obliviously torn look on his face, he glances back at the ground and comments, "Well, I won't stop her if she wants to come with us." Looking back at Daddy Cha-Cha, he nods thinking as loudly as he can <I'll stop her if she does... That'd actually be kinda fun! Oooohhh can we keep her?>

His excitement restored the short, but burly skitter then rushes to the mouth of the tunnel back and waves everyone closer. "Well, if we're going to go explore this, then let's GO!" With a happy laugh he rushes off down the hallway!

Jaxy cocks his head to the side, clearly confused. "Wait, but dying is an end to 'pain'n'saffrin,' so you killing us would end that, not cause more.... Wait, the actually killing might cause some, but afterwards it'd be peaceful. Hmmm, you look good enough to do it easily with little pain and no 'saffrin.' I'd say saying you're going to kill us and then not caused more than just killing me! Hrumph!"

Slightly peeved, the skitter decides to ignore the andriod for a bit and pretend to be interested in the wall for a bit.

Jaxy's ears drop as the android drops her rifle and says she's not going to try killing them. With tears in his eyes, he looks at her."... but... but... you don't care enough to end our... *sniffle* 'pain'n'saffrin'? Awww..."

Dejected he turns back and starts scuffing the ground with his boots. after a second, and clearing the tears from his eyes, he looks back at her. "Could we... at least do some kind of... competition?"

Jaxy's ears perk up as he catches sight of the android. As he starts hearing what the-she-seeming android is saying though, he excitedly bounds into the room. "Wait, someone sent you to end our 'pain'n'saffrin'? Awww, how nice! They must really care about us!"

He gives the android a look over and then gives a nod in approval. "It's so rare I meet someone else dedicated to ending people's 'pain'n'saffrin'! What's your name? I'm Jaxy! This is Ack, he's soooo smart that it's almost a little scary. That's Daddy Cha-Cha, he's bonded to my baby! Over there is Dribble, she's the most sensible Skitter I've ever met and she is great at making new friends. And last is Kotora at the back, she's really fun and kind and sweet and good with words!"

After introducing everyone, he turns back to the android. "You know, we could do a duel! You and me, best fighter gets to end the other's 'pain'n'saffrin'!"

Jaxy watches Kotora and Coral with eyes wide in fascination. "OOOoooohhhh! Wow! That's soo cool! How did you do that? Hrmmm, I want to try that too!"

Jaxy swings his laser cannon around and then delicately lifts the trap up with ver his head. He makes a couple of heaves as if to through the thing before stopping. " Wait, I Ned to give him a name first... He's a laser cannon... Hmmmm... I know! Lazy! I'll call him Lazy!"

Grinning wildly, Jaxy heaves Lazy up and out, tossing the thing a good twenty feet. On the downward arc, Jaxy's ears get flat as he realizes that this was not likely to be good for Lazy at all. With a sputter he calls out " Lazy, uh.. Here!"

Not expecting the thing to come back to him, Jaxy gets knocked off balance as the unexpected bulk of the thing materializes in his hands. After a few seconds of precarious tottering, Jaxy regains his balance, a broad grin on his face. "It worked! Yay! Oh, and Lazy didn't get scratched!"

Looking around to show off to everyone his new found ability, Jaxy finally catches sight of Daddy Cha-cha's call for silence and realizes where they are. As the years of his adolescent training take back over, Jaxy gives a silent nod of affirmation. With a few gestures he indicates <We go straight?>

This is quickly followed by a completely different series of gestures. <I'm so excited.>

Ack! Having a sub tank would be nice especially if we are going to run into more of those Akatas. I can't garuntee Jaxy won't be a repeat mother.

Jaxy hauls Ack out to the back of the space ship where all of the tie lines were. Setting down the goblin, he comments, "Wow, you know so many songs! I'm amazed you can remember all of those. But we should get moving, you can catch up with them later if you want!" The skitter then glances around, counting off people with three hands "Ack, Daddy Cha-Cha, Dribble... Hmm we're missing two people... There's ...Kotora and then... Oh right me! Opps."

With a wide skitter-smile, Jaxy heads off back into the ship. "Hold on, I gotta go grab Kotora and then we should go!"

Finding the other skitter shopping online, Jaxy gives a huff. "You can do that later! Let's go." Hauling the other skitter over his head, Jaxy rushes back into the docking room. "Okay, this should be everyone!
Any thing you need to do before we head out?"

Jaxy cocks his head, clearly confused by what everyone is saying. "Boulder, Rock? ...Oh, right! That boulder-rock-thingie we have to look at! Hmm, Daddy Cha-Cha, if you're that worried about the eviromental protections on your space suit, why not just charge it back up? I've got mine going right now!"

Jumping up and giving a stretch, the skitter looks about and gives a nod. "But you're right we should get moving! Let's see if we can pry Ack away from his singing and get down to the rock. Maybe there we can learn what happened to most of the crew..." The skitter starts to tidy up things from their meal and starts trying to usher people out the door. He joins the goblins in one last song, not really knowing the words and somehow making the dying cat of a choir sound even worse. "Kill a something-something-ish, swim something-or-other fish!" At the end of the song, the little skitter moves over and picks up Ack bodily moving the goblin away from his bretheren. "Sorry, We need Ack! He's the smartest person in our group! If you wait though, we'll bring him back!"
