Seeing Eleo slip free, Jaxal thinks Now! and stabs at the creatures exposed belly.

Well, that was less than stellar... missed even if it would have caught him flat footed.

While the others are shopping, Jaxal follows up on Belinda's attempts.

Jaxal is pretty well equipped alchemically. and takes the glowing arrow unless someone else really wants it. He does prepare a CLW elixir, though.

"Yes?" Jaxal opens the door once Nira is quiet.

Jaxal pulls out a wand of CLW and offers it to anyone needing to knit together their wounds.

Hmm - I just realized Jaxal didn't have an extract of CLW - I misread my sheet (known vs prepared). Extra wand charge to make up for it.

Jaxal readies a flask of alchemist's fire, to throw at the bat swarm if they move towards him, or if his friends escape the swarm.

Turning to the door, Jaxal smiles and winks.

"Hello, good sir. How is business? You do like orange, yes?"

"It is very nice, yes... we are enjoying our stay. But we are in search of a friend of a friend of ours... someone who was looking into the area mana storms..."

"Interesting. I wonder what will happen to these people then?"

Is there a way to determine the cause, or any ideas on a remedy?

Jaxal strolls up to one of the villagers. "This is a nice town. Peaceful... quiet. You lived here long?"

"Does this tree cause any other effects, other than protection, I mean? I am curious as to how it stayed so quiet last night, for instance."

"Well, I didn't sleep that well last night. But morning has come, and now we must investigate! Shall we ask around a bit first? See if anyone knew her and knows anything?"

Jaxal tells the others that he wants to look around a bit, and looks to see what shoppes may be open this close to curfew. He is looking for anything strangely missing from a normal town this size.

"We are going to have to watch our steps, here. And each other's backs..."

Jaxal raises an eyebrow at the description of the ceremonies and curfews, and is sure something odd must be going on. But if they can avoid conflict, so much the better.

"Yes, let's get settled in."

Jaxal nods, and hands over his bow and his rapier.

Jaxal will pocket the oil of silence.

"We are not here to cause trouble, my good sir, but these items are family heirlooms, and I would be most disappointed to lose them. Is there nothing we can do to allow us to hold on to them? Peace bonds, perhaps?"

Jaxal takes the remaining arrows, and tries the bow. Finding it to be too strong for him, he nonchalantly sets it back down, hoping nobody noticed his failure to pull back the string.

He also packs up the climber'd kit. "If he was carrying this gear, I think we should assume we may need it to access where ever he was."

"I feel like it was over too quickly, yet I am glad to see everyone is safe now."

Jaxal will draw his rapier as he moves into a flanking position behind the hyena.

Jaxal has an antiplague, so good to go.

"Exotic locales? Dangerous creatures? Why, this sounds like just the ticket! Name's Jaxal, if any of you haven't heard of me before."

The elf walks back and forth in his fancy clothes.

"Disease, though.... that sounds serious. I, for one, would like to take some options to cure or avoid diseases. Will you be providing such a thing?"

Sounds like a good mission for Jaxal, Empiricist Investigator 1 / Inspired Blade (Swashbuckler) 1 (yah, its a mouthful).

Jaxal moves 15' toward the skeleton as he mixes a few chemical components, and drinks the concoction. Suddenly, he hands transform into fists of stone.
