Helping Halara to her feet, Jarprax 'helpfully' (roughly) hands the prisoners over to the city guard before boarding the ship. As with Shaldinari, he is not anxious to let the discs out of his sight again, regardless of any assurances from Mother Homwell.

Checking on various crew members, making sure they are not wounded and greeting old acquaintances, Jarprax's head pops up at Shal's last sentence: "Is there food?!"

"Those cultists are fanatic - we should tie them up before they regain consciousness."

With the captain and wizard taken care of for now, Jarprax will bandage wounds among the rest of the crew. He also has a healing potion, if anyone is unconscious (otherwise, he'll offer it to Lesiko or Halara).

If nobody else is looking particularly injured, Jarprax will follow his own advice and start tying up sleeping Baneites.

Just to be sure I understand - Homwell is asking us to take on the Baneites so they don't get to the discs, which are on the ship?

Jarprax places a heavy hand on the Mother Protector's shoulder, tilts his head slightly so he can look her in the eye: "You should not have run off without us - why ask us to help you and then reject our help? We will stop this Gald, never fear, but you must trust us more."

If nobody else has done it, Jarprax will untie her.

Jarprax flinches to the side as glowing bolts of force fly over his shoulder and strike, unerringly, into the thug. With the man collapsing in front of him, however, he simply nods in satisfaction before turning around to survey the room: it's carnage. His companions have made short work of the enemy, leaving only two. Luckily, he grins, those two are standing in a line:

Then, he'll take up a position behind the Warrior; or, if she's dropped, behind Magenta, to provide Antonio with flanking advantage.

No worries - I'll stick with the next round actions as posted. Jarprax is more concerned with keeping thugs away from the Mother Protector, and he can't do that if he's lining up for a breath weapon

Jarprax is totally fine with taking out the wall - maybe he'll even hit the guard standing outside with the same 24 damage? Shatter is a 10' radius sphere.

Jarprax will continue his charge forward to prevent the Green thug from getting to Mother Holmwell, letting Antonio take on the Warrior for now.

I believe I can just make it to Green by passing through Holmwell's space next to White - Jarprax will deliberately walk past White to draw an attack of opportunity.

Jarprax shrugs: "Let's ask around at the stables too, but my bet's on the caravan company. I hired on with them them when I first arrived in the Moonsea - they'll pay a few coin for guard duty, and it was a good way to get to know the country. The Mother Protector might have joined a caravan for protection, or even hired a fast coach if she had the coin."

If more subdued than before, Jarprax nonetheless urges the group to hurry - chivying them on at every break. Especially because the trip to the Helping Hand is so quiet, he urges the group to continue on to Melvaunt immediately: "We have to catch up to that reckless cleric before she gets herself killed!"

Jarprax turns at the sound of thunder and is surprised to see Shaldinari standing there - the thought that the slender elf might be blessed with storm magic flashes through his mind, before he falls into step alongside her, back to the others. A litany of foul curses in both draconic and giantish rumble forth as they return to the others.

Absentmindedly, he drops one of his pouches into Uglariet's hands unless Orntharr laid out enough money for him as well - he did count the hobgoblin as part of the group, earlier.

Ah, yes, sorry - I could have been more clear. Jarprax is storming off in a huff, but he's storming off in the direction of the Mother Protector. Of course, he probably doesn't know where to go, so hopefully someone redirects him...

A look of shock and anger crosses Jarprax's face and he bares his teeth in a grimace that any prey-animal would interpret as "time to hide." Throwing open the chest (breaking the lock if necessary), Jarprax will confirm what the priest has said and, roaring his displeasure, will slam open the door and stamp out of the temple.

Jarprax looks brightly at the church, the acolytes, and this man before him: "HA! Yes, quite an easy trip! But we have encountered some stronger forces looking to retrieve these artifacts in the past - agents of Bane. Perhaps we can accompany the chest the rest of the way to Elturel?"

Grinning broadly, his many sharp teeth evident, he remarks: "Still just a mammal though..." :P

I'm not really sure how Tana and Antonio feel, but unless someone has a strong opinion either way, we're more or less at a stalemate, I think. Aeshuura might want to call it if he wants to move things forward.

(If it's a no from the group, Jarprax will give the hobgoblin 10gp anyway, to buy his silence, before sending him on his way.)

Jarprax doesn't want to speak too much of his mind in front of the hobgoblin, but if a few of the others want to move to the front of the wagon with him (or can speak draconic), he'll try to explain his reasoning:

"Seems like most of us have decided not to kill him, so what's the alternative? Let him go? Likely, he'll just end up dead on the end of that Baneite's sword when he finds out they've failed. Or he comes back with reinforcements, now that he knows our strengths. So, why not have him along to help - worst case, I'm out 10gp when he sneaks off."

Glancing around at the skeptical looks from his companions, he adds: "Or... we can talk about it first... Either way, friend, I suspect you'll have to answer their questions honestly. But also," now glaring at his party, "either way you will not be harmed, unless you betray us."

Jarprax tries to subtly covey (and fails miserably) that the group is already travelling with 'monsters', indicating himself and Jiro, what one more...?

Having at first spotted the bandits, Jarprax loses a precious few seconds readying his weapons.

Nodding in approval at Shaldinari's spell, Jarprax follows it up with one of his own! Crashing his hammer into his shield like a gong, Jarprax's will holds the resulting sound waves in check until he can redirect it toward the three hobgoblins to the east, where he let's the divinely amplified sound explode outward.

Several times during Mother Homwell's speech, Jarprax plans to suggest that the discs be taken to the mountains, where the giant priests could easily destroy them. But, each time he lifts a hand and sucks in a breath to interject, Jiro pokes him in the leg with a sharp claw. Grunting and glancing down, he sees the little kobold quietly shake his head. Growling softly at the back of his throat, the large dragonborn frowns and folds his arms across his chest, saying nothing.

As she finishes, Jarprax nods in acknowledgement: "Right - off to Elturgard in a few days, then. Thank you again for your hospitality, Mother Protector."

Much the same as the last time, Jarprax makes a bit of a show of coughing, snorting, and gagging on the water as he climbs aboard.

"Ahgghha - good thinking, Shaldinari, and, waving a hand in the direction of the captain, "Yes, yes. Let's get home."

It looks like it hasn't been mentioned before, but Jarprax will remind the group that we should keep the disc in a Bag of Holding to prevent the hate from spreading through the group and crew.

Jarprax has a sudden chill that has nothing to do with the cold water: "I have a doubt, friends. It strains belief that our good captain would be so foolish to dump meat overboard. I worry that something has happened aboard ship. Also..." looking doubtfully at the speeding sharks, and thinking back to the conversations he had with the merfolk - did he discuss sharks with them?

Nature: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

"I was asleep when you were scouting with the merfolk but... those fish seem to be moving very quickly. Are you sure it's a good idea to fight them? Maybe we could just distract them or drive them off?"

If the group seems intent on battling the sharks, Jarprax will cast Aid on himself, Antonio, and Tana, raising their current hit points and hit point maximums by 5.

Also, @Antonio, that's a good idea, but since the trident is a martial weapon, I think you might be the only one who can use it.
