Male Calligraphy Wyrm AC26 HP37

Inkwell sprays his ink at 2. (DC15 Reflex)

Male Calligraphy Wyrm AC26 HP37

Inkwell has a +13 perception modifier as it uses the skill ranks of its 'master'

I think we could handle 2 encounters at the same time with this party :-P

(Except for the boss encounter, as she is quite powerful)

Male Calligraphy Wyrm AC26 HP37

Inkwell flies to wards the dinosaur and showers it with ink (DC15 reflex)

I blame SkålCon

Auto assist

Faustus's Sense Motive
Lily's Diplomacy
Roderick's heal

assuming we need all 4 of those....

Male Calligraphy Wyrm AC26 HP37

If it's a certain number of successes before a certain number of failures it would be wise if we started with the highest modifiers.

Male Calligraphy Wyrm AC26 HP37

"And if that fails, I can teleport to your side!"

with 3 medium sized allies

Male Calligraphy Wyrm AC26 HP37

I think our party can handle Lady Arodeth herself

Male Calligraphy Wyrm AC26 HP37

"Ok, let's buff up and go in!"

Male Calligraphy Wyrm AC26 HP37

Inkwell will use his new form to attack the Lighting Elemental

Scimitar: 1d20 + 15 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 15 + 2 = 33 for Damage: 1d6 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15
Scimitar: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 10 + 2 = 16 for Damage: 1d6 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12

"As I speak to you in the language known as Taldane and you can understand me should confirm Lilybeth's words."

If Inkwell is allowed to aid as well, we have 5 assists, 6 if Lya rolls a 6 or higher. My guess is that 49, 51 or even 53 should be enough

re: missing out damage: just want to put it out there that this group has had a very easy time so far and if we don’t do the most optimal thing from time to time — especially for the sake of helping one another out in a bottling situation — that’s ok.

Generally, if an important moment arrives and you can squeeze a bit more out based on another player’s expertise, I am cool retconning that in. But that important moment isn’t today.

Also the damage done was precisely enough to beat the creature, although it didn't realize that immediately! :-P

Male Calligraphy Wyrm AC26 HP37

Inkwell will fly forward and spray ink (DC15 Reflex) on the Emperor Cobra and use his dragon senses to scan the room (blindsight 60').

Sadly, Devotion only affects enchantments, not mind-affecting illusions!

Fairbeaks staggers back from the flash of colored lights, shaking his head to and fro, stunned!

Theo hurries after his feathered friend, passing both Faustus and the axebeak, to confront the serpentfolk. He yells back in Tien for Fairbeaks to snap out of it... not that it does any good.

Theo double moves.

Theo is currently under the influence of fly, so 60 foot fly speed, so it's only a single move to get there!

Male Calligraphy Wyrm AC26 HP37

Inkwell doesn't have reach, so no AoO.

Inkwell will hover 5 foot back and spit ink on the serpentfolk.

Male Calligraphy Wyrm AC26 HP37

Inkwell flies to the robed lizard(wo?)man and attacks

this provokes as Inkwell is diminiutive

To Hit: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22 for Damage: 1d2 - 3 ⇒ (1) - 3 = -2 sneak attack?: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 4) = 10

I can't manipulate the map at the moment... So if someone can move Fairbeaks to the right one square, and Theo one square to the right and one square down, that'd be awsome!

Done!

Theo Rosevale wrote:
"A little warning!" The dwarf yells, before sending a quick command to the axebeak.

"Well actually, you should know by now Lilybeth is a teleportation specialist! And we don't want to warn the enemy do we? A surprise is good if the enemy is even more surprised!"

"But to accommodate you, next time I'll shout 'HERE WE GO' ok?"

Male Calligraphy Wyrm AC26 HP37

Inkwell will use his Master's side ability dimension dooring to Lilibeth, taking along Theo and Fairbeaks

Male Calligraphy Wyrm AC26 HP37

"Looks like my special abilities can be useful here!" the diminutive dragon uses his shapechanging ability and turns into a golden fountain pen decorated with designs reminiscent of sovereign dragons.

The golden pen counts as a masterwork tool for the purpose of Craft (calligraphy) checks.

Male Calligraphy Wyrm AC26 HP37

Knowledge: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13

Breath weapon recharge: 2d4 ⇒ (2, 1) = 3

Inkwell goes total defense (+6 AC) and "5-foot step" flies away.

GM Doug H wrote:
Is this a Calligraphy Wym's Glitterdust-like ability?

Indeed, although the only thing that's the same is the blinding (and no SR). Everything else is different! (EX instead of SL, Reflex instead of Will, No penalty on Stealth checks, and you can remove the blinded condition automatically as a standard action.

Male Calligraphy Wyrm AC26 HP37

Inkwell will fly over the top lizardfolk (if possible keeping out of reach, else he will use acrobatics: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17) and spray them both with ink (DC15 reflex to negate)

Perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (7) + 13 = 20 and the 60 foot blindsight

I've reduced the size of Inkwell's token, as he is only diminutive.

Male Calligraphy Wyrm AC26 HP37

Roderick Xim:
I don't think you are in point blank range

Inkwell flies to the triceratops and sneezes a 10-foot cone of ink at the beast. DC 15 Reflex save or be covered in ink.

Male Calligraphy Wyrm AC26 HP37

"I'd have preferred the temple, but I guess you all are not as good as a flyer as myself. Even the bird is flightless!"

"As a true dragon I have excellent senses, so even underground I can be an asset."

blindsight 60 ft

Male Calligraphy Wyrm AC26 HP37

Lilybeth forgot to mention this, but she has a very powerful dragon familiar, who will be actively participating in combat.

"L.L., those zombies are climbing out of the pit and they are closing in! If you don't want your face to be eaten, you'd better do something!"

Male Calligraphy Wyrm AC26 HP37

Inkwell can fly to Loxx and teleport him to (relative) safety, but as Loxx probably won't choose to stay large, I don't know if it's needed, so he will delay for the moment.

Edit, actually I'll do it now, so Mason might choose to engage orange as well. 3x2x3=12

Inkwell swoops down to Loxx and dimensional steps the prone giant to safety.

Male Calligraphy Wyrm AC26 HP37

"I hope these undead don't throw ice javelins at dragons!"

Inkwell will fly down to the pit, sneeze ink on cyan and yellow and shift back 10 foot.

DC 15 reflex or blinded

Refilling ink reservoir: 2d4 ⇒ (2, 4) = 6

Male Calligraphy Wyrm AC26 HP37

Inkwell will walk to the place the bears came from and will use the rhino's scent ability to smell if there is something funny.

Male Calligraphy Wyrm AC26 HP37

Inkwell charges the blue polar bear

Charge for Subdual: 1d20 + 16 + 2 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (11) + 16 + 2 + 2 - 4 = 27 for damage: 4d8 + 22 ⇒ (7, 7, 1, 1) + 22 = 38

Male Calligraphy Wyrm AC26 HP37

"I do love a blank canvas!"

Inkwell flies down and sneezes black ink over the white bears.

Ink Spray (Ex) DC15:
As a standard action every 2d4 rounds, a calligraphy wyrm can sneeze a 10-foot cone of ink. Creatures must succeed at a DC 12 Reflex save or be covered in ink.

Affected creatures are treated as though they had failed a saving throw against glitterdust, except that affected creatures don’t take a penalty on Stealth checks, and can remove the blinded condition automatically as a standard action. The save DC is Charisma-based.

Rounds until Inkwell is refilled: 2d4 ⇒ (3, 4) = 7

then it uses dimensional steps to get back up to 30'

Male Calligraphy Wyrm AC26 HP37

Mage armor

Inkwell will take to the air (30') and fly towards the shrine as silently as possible, using his draconic blindsight (60') to watch out for danger.

Stealth: 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (9) + 27 = 36

Male Calligraphy Wyrm AC26 HP37

"Well, you can ASK me if I'm willing to do that. It is true that my superior senses will make it more likely to spot white bears in the snow, but next time please don't assume I'll volunteer."

Male Calligraphy Wyrm AC26 HP37

Inkwell is continuing his challenge

To Hit: 1d20 + 15 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (10) + 15 + 2 - 4 = 23 for Subdual: 2d6 + 14 ⇒ (4, 6) + 14 = 24
