What Morrison's Batman did that made him so powerful is that he was always able to tear down people's super powers. Y'know I've been thinking about this. Like, I've been watching "Assault on Arkham" on Youtube which everyone says (everyone, including Tibetan monks) is the "good" Suicide Squad movie. Or what it should've been. Anyway, (spoilers!) one of the early scenes has Deadshot who's power is that he never misses. I mean, that's his whole thing, that he just doesn't miss a shot, right? So, Deadshot is shooting at Batman and...*drum roll please*...misses. At which point he's incredulous. "Did I just miss a guy on a grapple line? Did I JUST MISS?!?" And then Batman fights him in close combat, and he misses a bunch more times until Batman breaks his wrist-gun. Hence, that would actually play into this theory, that Batman actually -does- have a super power, and that is that other people's power is just always not on their top game when he's around. (That would also be why he can beat up fields of bad guys despite being a normal human--the bad guys suddenly all have a "bad day" at fighting things. It kinda reminds me of a series of books that a friend of mine was telling me about this one time. Like, everyone in that world had some magical power. Everyone, no exceptions. Except one guy. And they couldn't figure out what his power was. But that was just it, his power was that no amount of magic affected him. Eh, just sayin'. =)

Meanwhile, Attero keeps talking. Spoilered because my brain kept bringing this idea up and wouldn't let it go, but I don't want Unhuman to hit me no more. =):
Aterro directs second squad to keep watch while the remainder of first squads tries to find an neutralize threats _before_ they fly up and start shooting them with rockets. The three other members of first squad, SGT Rick "Axman" Steiner, CPL Hanse "Wolfhound" Davion, and PVT Thomas "Orion" Marik join PFC Yamamoto "Shogun" Kurita as they wander off and start damaging things that look important. "You know that's a dead givaway symptom of psychopaths--the inability to take responsibility for one's actions," Attero responds to the unseen voice. "Oh, I know about the plank in my eye. I've lost men, I'll cop to that. But you know what weighs more than a speck? A crowbar." "Oh no, here he goes again," quips Hanse as he puts his boot through a panel.
"The men under _my_ command that fell were all that--MEN. Hard, trained men, who knew the risks going in and had a mature enough heart to accept them. And they all died quick. But how long did the Clown beat Jason? Was it hours? Days? Do you even know? Did the blast kill him quickly, or did he linger, wondering why you couldn't save him before the end? The men under me are all given a suit of AS7-D to protect them. They're given a WHM-6R and trained on it. Balls, we all even go through the hell-week that makes us immune to fear." "It took Hanse twice as long 'cause they had to keep stopping so he could change underwear," Thomas quipped.
"And they can get out at any time," Aterro continued. "They go into battle with nine brothers to watch their back and NOT ONCE have I LEFT a MAN to DIE AT THE HANDS OF THAT F&@#ING CLOWN! Do you wonder why the Joker f!%!s with you and not with our employer? It's because of _us_ Batman. YOU still believe in a weak and corrupt system that REFUSES to give that THING the death penalty. But even that nutso knows that if he crossed a line with Mr. Luthor, ten angry men would come a-knocking. And there would be no ambulance, no miracle, no pile of rubble that no one could possibly survive. There would be confirmation, and a trophy, and maybe Harley could be given the chance of a normal life." "And then I'd have a chance with her!" pipes up Hanse.
"So you killed Jason Todd," continues Attero into the darkness. "The first time you lacked the courage to put a slug between that clown's eyes, you condemned that child to death. So you equate killing children to a small speck in your eye? That's sad, Batman," Aterro says, starting to wind down, lacking the energy to banter with a shadow. "You might call Kara a monster, but you're the monster here. So just stand back and get out of the way."
"Are we almost done here, Imagine?" Attero asks.

If they fail a single TOU roll they're down. Sure, I spent (some would say "wasted") points so that they can come back in the next scene, but that does all of dick if we lose the fight. Are you talking about combat or the talkings? Right now almost all of us PCs are laid up in one way or another, so, yeah, there's a vacuum that I'm just filling. But that's it. We're all just spinning wheels until we get to save from the Flashbulb. Hell, I kinda thought it would be nice to have something to read instead of "So, is it next round yet? It's not like the whole party being blind and deaf isn't super fun, but how about we move it along a bit?" As far as combat they're just using off-the-rack weapons. And always will. If you noticed they were almost worthless in our first fight because anything worth fighting had Impervious 8, which cancels out all of their attacks. So, let's put a fine point on it. Kara nods politely, trying not to think about going into the light. The beautiful, shiny light. The sweet, CANDY-like light. Can she resist? Can she hold out? "NO I CAN'T!" she yells for some reason as she slowly walks her taut, round buttocks underneath the scanning light. Let's put some gasoline on this fire, shall we? =3

LexSec save!: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (12) + 12 = 24
LexSec save!: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (12) + 12 = 24
All of the LexSec, except Captain Attero himself, suddenly find their movement impeded as their bleeding-edge power armor shuts down, turning into rather clunky suits of plate mail. Imagine's save!: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (15) + 17 = 32
"Oh what the buttsex, guys? Alright alright fiiiine. Just, shuffle into a group."
No excuses.

[i][b]' '[b][i] "Whoa." Imagine allows herself to rubberneck for a moment, but the LexSec take no such luxuries. While the girl wonders just -why- someone would make a penny that large, the ten power-armored men fan out in a tactical walk, rifles leading the way. They try to at least establish a safe zone around their current position, with a list of possible avenues of expansion. Their in-built cameras all record silently.

For starts, Bats do likey a good brood, but 5 years is a bit much even for him. He's gone. Flown to New Krypton or whateves. He ain't home. We punch past some Turrets With Poor Aim and a couple Mirrors With Smoke and BAM we're in. I say let's go. If Dr. Fate can teleyporty, then super. If not, then we go in hard and loud anyway. And if I'm wrong, then you get a treat that's even _better_ than getting in the Bat Cave! ... You get to tell me I'm wrong. But, like, only once. Don't make a habit out of it. Ready?'

Eenie meenie minnie no. Once there was a little boy named No. Lemme tell ya a story 'bout a man named No. I've got a whole big bag of No with your name on it. [i][b]' '[b][i] 'Meh,' Imagine responds to Unhuman's words of warning, but at least happy that she finally got to introduce him to the wonderful world of mojitos. 'Fate's right. The whole 'Bat' line is un-powered. Bat-man, Bat-girl, Bat-um, dog? Bat-robin, Bat-bird, Bat-aardvark--the whole line doesn't have a wit of true power in 'em. My theory? Good marketing. They build up a reputation of superawesomeness, then they just show up, and everyone all but punches themselves in the face! But, whatevs. That "man" hisself ain't been seen in sometime. Most like moved to florida and got some sun. You all can come up with a plan that involves 47 different words for "sneak". As for me?" As one the ten LexSec powered-armored guards lock'n'load their WarHammer assault rifles. 'I tend to shoot things with guns and see how that works. You got a better plan?' Another mojito seems to pour itself and float over to Kara's waiting hand.

[i][b]' '[b][i] Duh. Mojitos! Once aboard the LexCorp Chinook-class helicopter, comfortable seating is found for everyone, and Kara personally makes everyone a world-famous mojito. The drink itself is nothing special, save that it's made from ridiculously fine ingredients, making all other mojitos taste like they were made from dirty bathwater.
'Alrighty, me hearties. We're airborne and we have a place to go. Y'all wanna just smash the place up for a bit or do we wanna do anything special? Maybe some naughty graffiti?'
