Thanks for GM'ing!
Having much fun with the PbP format - very different.

First gnome we encountered, the irresponsible - er, older one - gave potions which neutralize poison, you should drink until better.

The oread cleric then reluctantly checks over the gnome to make sure that their issues are entirely damage and not also poison-related.
Heal check to diagonose: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22

Heilsteinn makes his way over to his envenomed companions, pulling out his healer's kit on the way.

He starts with Jivan...
Heal check to treat poison, DC = save of poison: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25

... and the next round, treats Naruhito, if necessary.
Heal check to treat poison, DC = save of poison: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Re-Roll, from 3-star GM: 1d20 + 6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 6 + 3 = 13

Success = +4 competence bonus for their saves vs. poison. Hopefully Naruhito won't need that help.

Seeing that his enlarged form and slow speed currently prevent him from engaging in melee, he takes advantage of the fact that the necro-bipedal-hedgehog/porcupine-creature is blocked from burst AoEs: Heilsteinn takes a five-foot step and bursts again for healing.

This is why annoying halfling woman insisted on either a sniffing dog or a bag of flour for new Pathfinders!
Anyone have some companion who is good at smelling, or can you change shape to something that can smell?

Heilsteinn stops with an expression of either an idea or sudden bowel relief and looks at Jivan.
... can you move cloak or string around to see if it brushes against something we cannot see?!

Heilsteinn moves down and casts protection from evil - most definitely not casting defensively in case she's willing to lose the stealth for an attack of op.

After doing so, he prepares to utilize his cold iron spiked gauntlet rather than the hooked lance for attacks of op (so threatening 5 & 10 ft rather than 15-20).

If attack of op triggered:

attack of op with spiked gauntlet, power-attacking, enlarged, -5 STR penalty: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (14) + 4 - 2 = 16
damage for attack of op, power-attacking, enlarged, -5 STR penalty: 1d6 + 6 - 2 ⇒ (4) + 6 - 2 = 8

Pointy necrohog has somehow reduced my strength.

Heilsteinn double-moves to limit the creature's escape / casting options.

If attack of op(s) is (or are) triggered:

1st:
attack of op with hooked lance with -5 STR penalty: 1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (10) + 5 - 2 = 13

Seeing the gnome's color improve, Heilsteinn shifts his focus to the necromantic bipedal porcupine.
He moves diagonally to get an angle and stabs downward at it while asking.
Anyone know what bipedal necro-porcu-pig really is? Is long name and "necropokey" seem too cute for it.

Seeing the bipedal necromantic porcupine seems to be getting handled by the rest of the group, Heilsteinn sighs in resignation and takes a five foot step to get the collapsed gnome within range of the healing burst and proceeds to burst.

Heilsteinn nods in easy agreement with the halfling swashbuckler's request.

Of course! Immonhiel approves of such wisdom. Never approach fight with necromancer by making easier for you to become one of their minions.

Turning to Enora, he responds. Yes, big is often good, but sometimes not so much underground. You look smart, probably know already. Also, thank you for earlier bigness.

Before they make their way into the cave, Heilsteinn makes sure that there is rope still at hand.
If anyone not see in dark, now good time to make sure you have light.

GM, are the darker spots on the maps pits or impassable areas like walls & columns? - I've seen them used both ways.

if they are pits rather than walls or columns:

Heilsteinn will warn the others before checking the corpses.
Be ready, if they are undead - may get very mad very quick. If smart, may still try to play dead - see if any look more injured.

Not sure what actions are required to tie knots as it's normally something I see done out-of-combat. Heilsteinn has 50 ft of silk rope and will volunteer to be the anchor to attach the other end of the rope to. Also don't know if it would be allowed to just have Jivan use TK to attach the rope (hopefully with a slip knot or similar) to Naruhit so we can just yank him out.

Several things worse than death. For missing orange-hair or other bad things like it, if they make you into undead your soul it ripped back from its journey and forced into your often rotting body. Is one reason why those who follow Lady of Graves so vehement about hatred of undead: zombies not just like walking stink-leather that tries to kill you, are violations of souls as well.

Heilsteinn nods to Jamir, completely ignoring the rambling of the purple-haired gnome as best he can.

Before activating the wand he pauses and looks over his other companions and the newly emerged younger Pathfinders. Is anyone else injured and need healing?

He will then check with the newly emerged Pathfinders to find out what happened and see if they know what the gnome did to bring this upon them. While doing so, he will compare them to the list the VC gave them before leaving to determine who is missing.

If anyone else is injured Heilsteinn will channel energy to heal before starting to use charges from the wand. Also, not sure how injured Jamir is so not sure how much healing he would need - Jamir, you should probably roll your own CLW for expediency this time.

I'm assuming the "extra care" was flavor and not an actual penalty to hit from something as I would have been targeting the square above the halfling from my top-right upper square as a large creature to avoid soft cover from allies. No worries either way, just wondering if I need to start being that specific.

Second verse, similar to the first.

As a swift action, Heilsteinn utilizes his growth domain power to re-enlarge for one round and then charges, power-attacking the remaining owlbear with his hooked lance as full-round action.

power-attacking large hooked lance attack roll: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 5 + 2 = 17
power-attacking large hooked lance piercing damage roll: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (4, 3) + 9 = 16

Try not to get squished when it falls!

As a swift action, Heilsteinn utilizes his growth domain power to enlarge for one round and then power-attacks the closer owlbear with his hooked lance as his standard action.

power-attacking large hooked lance attack roll: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
power-attacking large hooked lance piercing damage roll: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (6, 5) + 9 = 20

I know not how it is possible, but I think these zombie beak-bears stink even worse when you put holes in them! I hope that when we finish them off, one of our companions has cantrip that can remove stink.

Quick clarification: description said several owlbears, but I'm only seeing one on the map. Trying to figure out if it's an issue with my viewer or if there's actually only one owlbear.

There is the source of the stink! Beak-bear zombies!

Helsteinn begins to move forward, lance ready. He realizes as he moves forward that the others are likely to be able to get there faster, so moves to the side a bit to try to avoid blocking any charge lanes.

He yells out to those in the shack. Help comes!

Stink was here before you and your donkey. Am not offended by donkey.
He pauses a moment and then realizes his inadvertent insinuation.
Not offended by you, either. Seem like fun song.

Spear in hand, Heilsteinn makes sure he is close to the draft animals in case something rushes them while those who are fleeter of foot move around.

Seeing the spell-casting preparations in which the others are engaging, he somewhat sheepishly casts guidance and virtue on himself.

At the description given by Venture Captain Heidmarch, Heilsteinn turns away and shake his head sadly.
Is life of Pathfinder. I must cooperate, sometimes with diabolists, followers of the Rough Beast, necromancers and even... gnomes. That said, alchemists are blessed by the Balm-Bringer for the medicines that they provide, so is less hardship than it could be. I will be content to merely wait with spear in hand for their inevitable, but never surprising betrayal.

He turns back to the Venture Captain.
You say, their camp is east. Many days travel? Is Society also providing food and fodder for us as well? - I ask so that I know what supplies will be needed for the journey in the morning

Heilsteinn visibly ponders for a moment before answering.

Fey are almost as bad as gnomes for annoying and often betrayal-wrought tricks. Can you describe the druid and their trainees so that we may know who we are making this delivery to?
Also, can you give us a bit more information on this delivery of supplies and the route? - for example, are we taking pack mules through a dense forest, a pair of heavy carts down a well-maintained road, or something in between?

A large man sits up from his light doze with a start from the corner, leaning forward attentively with the long practice of getting sleep where he can. He wears full plate mail armor with a plain dun tabard, his helm at his feet and his bulkier weapons stacked against the wall in the corner behind his chair. He appears to be human, but the sandstone color of his skin indicates that his heritage may also involve the plane of earth. Around his neck is a wooden amulet of a toad wrapped in herbs.
He smiles in a friendly manner before introducing himself, the trade-patois of Magnimar heavy in his speech. Greetings, fellow Pathfinders. I am Heilsteinn, warrior and humble servant of the Balm-Bringer. I arrived early as I tend to walk more slowly than most. I too wonder why we have been called here, but that is the life of a Pathfinder, no?!
