As the battle finishes before Gunnar has a chance to act further, it soon devolves in discussions of a grander nature. For the moment, Gunnar cares little for that. Instead, he moves towards the pit where the last of the foes may lay in wait.
Despite the victory, the revenge, and the new King being crowned, he feels empty and alone.

As the bullet flies, it expands to the size of a boulder, whistling through the air as if thrown by a catapult before crashing against the device.

Gunnar frowns while gazing at the supernatural darkness which threatens to ruin his plans of ambushes. As the new King moves forward, Gunnar takes to the side, smearing mud on his armor and face in case the foes can see through the cloying blackness.

I'm trying to see if in the mechanics is some other way of dismissing the creature.
