I am sorry for my absence, unfortunately it will continue for at least the next week or two. I knew some issues were arising but I thought I could manage everything. I will be with no internet for the next week. I do not know how that will affect my standing witht he game and group, but I understand my situation is not the best for this group currently.

As the harpy manages to wriggle free of Grobly's bite (leaving a few chunks of flsh and feathers behind), Grobly swiftly realizes the position he is in, high in the air with no support. Grobly will let out a yelp, "Bazzt! and look around frantically for his friend.

Hearing his companion call his name, the giant bat will turn its attention towards the falling goblin. With a deft swoop, Bazzt will fly low and under the Goblin, atempting to catch the small barbarian on his back.

Acrobatics roll for Grobly and a Fly check for Bazzt? For grobly to catch the saddle, and for Bazzt to get underneath in time?

Grobly Acrobatics: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
Bazzt Fly: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (11) + 12 = 23

Assuming Grobly makes it onto the bats back, he will then look towards the fleeing harpy and growl menacingly as he pulls a fluffy feather out of his teeth. Baazt will use any leftover movement to begin pursuit.

Grobly continues to chew down on the harpy, his legs limp and arms simply keeping the support necessary for his neck not to snap. He seems to be singing some sort of song as he releases his bite only to clench down harder, looking for a new position.

Bazzt flies low, spreads his wings wide and with a screech attacks the golden harpy.

This is a standard action so far.. If the Harpy falls, Grobly will attempt to leap onto Bazzt, using the falling harpy corpse (which has hover, yes? so it should be able to act as such for a quick moment?) as a spring board. My Hero Point will be spent for +8 on the acrobatics roll.

Grobly continues to fly up higher on bat, until the dire bat is ten feet above the closest Harpy. Then, with a shout of primal rage, the goblin leap off of Baazt and dive at the harpy, jaws first.

Watching the group engage with his friends, Grobly found himself hesitating for a moment. Then, the sight of Bazzt approaching snapped him out of his revelry.

With a hoot, the barbarian signals Bazzt and the bat swoops in, brushing its belly along the grass, allowing Grobly to jump onto Bazzts back. "Wez gunna show them who rules the airways!" Grobly hops onto the balls of his feet as he rides Bazzt through the air, his tongue lolling out of his mouth.

Bazzt flies high, up twenty feet as he pulls around with Grobly on his back, making a line towards the Harpies while letting off his own call of war.

As the group continues its approach towards Grobly's friends, the young goblin will snarl to himself and drink a mutagen, readying himself for the best moment to surprise the enemy

seeing the group get off of the boat, Grobly was ready to step out and greet them. Talk is always the better way, according to Goodwn. Then the staff caught his eye. Grobly knew he would find those who hurt his friends. He wasn't about to let that happen. Drinking an extract (bulls strength) Grobly will ready himself to save his friends.

Grobly will crawl close enough to get a view, but leave an easy means of retreat should the need call.

I am on my phone and don't see the relevant map? Consider me no more than a few hundred or so feet from the tree line and/or the rest of the party? Further is OK but not preferable.

Seeing Giant and wargs, Grobly will spit. From his location, Grobly knows he should not be all that well hidden from further into the shore, where Bazzt is waiting. He will give the bat a short signal and then focus his attention back on the boat. Maybe some fire would ruin their nighttime trip?

Grobly will continue to watch the boat, and begun to follow it should it pass his location. In the mean time, Bazzt will have taken to the air below the tops of the trees and made a beeline back to the group. It will relay the information Grobly wanted to in the best of its abilities. While Bazzt was trying to say someone like There is another giant with a pack of Wargs and flying scouts guarding a well made and maintained trip traveling on a well crafted boat made for later waters than this small river , it actually came out as "Blarggk!"

Knowing that Ash seems more smart than the others (besides Grobly), Bazzt will look to her and try to relay the information as best as possible.

Grobly will eye Bazzt as Karkoran asks him the question, as if trying to determine exactly how stealthy a large nocturnal animal might be during the daytime. "Grobly can sneak to the shore and stay hidden. Maybe Bazzt can get me just close enough..." Grobly nods to himself. "I can! I will go look. You all start moving that way and Grobly will move further upriver. There is a bend! Somewhere I can get a view and you can stay hidden behind. You go there and Grobly will make sure it is safe. " Grobly will hop on Bazzt once again (to the animals chagrin) and do a quick circle around the group before dartin towards the river.

The young goblin will do as he told his friends and land within the treeline at the river bank. Making sure he has found a spot that will wrap around his side of the shore, Grobly will sneak out of the underbrush and wait cautiously behind a boulder as the object he had spotted earlier to appear.

Grobly will swoop back and wave his arms to get his companions attention as he gets close. "something is coming down river... Someone! Maybe we can find out more by talking to whatever it is? Bazzt thinks we should hide and let them float by... Too far away right now to make out what it is. Maybe to hard to see them without being seen in the air. "

Bazzt snarls at Grobly's exhuberance. The goblin had done nothing but lounge on the bats back the entire day.

That would defiantly get us there, but methinks we should save some spell slots in case we come across anything hostile.

Grobly will spend the days split between flying with Bazzt and traveling by foot. During their downtime, the young goblin will share with Kark the new mixture he learned (blur).

"The temple We were told about was old and well used. It would need water. And easy paths to travel. Even if time has worn away paths and roads I do not seeing it be far from a water source... Following the river would be wise. We can also hunt when we reach the woods. Get more food. "

Grobly spends enough time flying above the treetops at night to find a suitable camping spot, preferable high elevation with enough cover to stay concealed, next to a cliff face or a grove of treese.

Bazzt has 120 nightvision and grobly has 120 as well

As far as the upgrade pool, you say it is based off wealth by level. Is this stacking? Or does the pool 'reset' at every level up?

Going through the item creation rules and I am thinking I might want to completely rework my item if that option is still on the table. Your example of a frying pan gave me some ideas.

Grobly is finally coming online Now every time he bites someone to initiator grapple, he gets a free (extra) attack. He can grapple up to medium normally. +1d6 grapple damage. And anytime anyone misses him in melee, he can attempt to initiate grapple.

Grobly will keep chewing. As the corpse falls lifeless in his jaws , Grobly will keep tugging at the flesh for a few long moments, accompanied by growls coming from the back of his throat. Slowly, his eyes will dilate and be will stand, surveying the carnage around him.

Grobly will begin salivating as the enemy approaches. He really didn't want them to surrender. With a roar of "Grobly!", the young goblin will enter a furious rage and charge straight into the enemy, lunging at the first one jaws first.

Grobly howls as the enemy comes into view. "Hah! I tricked you! Give up now or you will fear Grobly teeth!" Goodwin always taught to let others give up before biting. Just in case however, Grobly will use the rock in front of him as cover, just poking his head over it to address the enemy squad. While waiting for a reply, Grobly will drink a potion of Bulls Strength.
