"I can easily cure Mr. Vindler with my own wand. It's only fair, for all the good pubs he has shown me in the past." Dissa smiles at his recently chomped friend, and activates his spring-loaded wrist sheath. He pops two bursts of healing, and restores the undaunted vigor of his old friend. 2 Charges = 10 HP With the more important work done, Dissa turns to Balenar and Anthys. "Have you eradicated all the threats from this tower? I can't remember how many doors we passed on the way up. Nor can I remember if there are any doors above."

Let's chronic. Sorry about your eye. In college I accidentally knocked my roommate unconscious with my eye socket playing football. My eye swelled completely shut (and more) for a week. I couldn't read, computers were terrible, and typing was really hard. I had to get extensions from all my teachers. I hope you feel better soon. I thought your style was really fun, and posting the AC and HP of monsters was really smart for PbP. It's really conducive to narrative posts and having the PCS drive the action. I've been playing PbP for about 5 years, and this was the most narrative game I have experienced. Thank you!

Dissas righteous wrath dissipates, and his normal demeanor settles on him like a quiet snow after a lightning strike. He attacks with his Fauchard, taking advantage of Balenars song. Fauchard Power Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23 Fauchard Damage: 1d10 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12 He hopefully drops the Troglodyte with his strike. if the big trog is already down, Dissa redirects to the croc.

I think Bozmir & Fez are the most correct. I will change Dissa to -7. Fortunately we are in contact with the GMs, and it's an easy fix. No need to panic. Thanks FezBarid for running. Do we have a next scenario planned?

Does the Detect Evil spell indicate that the Troglodyte boss is evil? I'm going to assume it does, and try to capture any impacts separately. Move Action Dissa strides forward to threaten the troglodyte "May the spirits flow through me and deliver victory to my forces. You shall die." An uncharacteristic wrath emanates from Dissa. The typically calm, and kind-hearted warrior flashes a deep streak of righteous fury, spreading throughout the entire battlefield. Swift Action Dissa activates his "Weal's Champion" ability:
Standard Action Attack! "Feel the holy wrath of Tsukiyo! Let the power of the Prince of the Moon flow through me and vanquish evil from this land. May darkness and madness leave you in eternal repose!"Dissa screams as he approaches. Fauchard Power Attack: 1d20 + 5 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 5 + 3 = 21 18 if not evil Fauchard Damage: 1d10 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 9 + 1 = 18 17 if not evil

"My vote is to clear the biggest threats first, then clean out the remainder of the tower on our way out. It sounds like things are looking up..." Dissa chortles, "...to the fourth floor." Dissa casts Detect Evil before proceeding up the steps. If there are barriers to entry, he will attempt to kick open the door on his way in. Door Kick!: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13 The unopened door is number 11, correct?

Public Shaming:
I forgive you. Holidays and all... Dissa asks Balenar what he knows of the tower. "Mr. Foreskend, is there anything else we should worry about? It seems as though the Troglodytes are allergic to swords and Fauchards. There was a giant toad, similar allergies." Dissa continues, "We should be able to get you out of here without incident. Is there anything else we need to do?" Diplomacy: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22 He turns to his friends, "Should we go?"

Yep. Technically Dissa should have started the game at L2. I forgot I played Crypt of the Everflame on this character (-6) at an event in January. Totally slipped my mind. I noticed it when I was checking the "sessions" tab to see if our Wounded Wisp had posted. So, in theory, I've illegally been playing a L1 version of an L2 character. Not sure how that's ruled, but I doubt I gained any advantage. I think with either one more character, or a split from one Aeroden to one FEz, we'll have 2 tables of 4. Jeza

Dissa pops a wand from his spring-loaded wrist sheath. He looks to the man and strides purposefully into the room. Stripping the bag from the prisoners head he activates the Cute Light Wounds spell to give the man both a clear view and clear perspective. Heal 5 HP "I suggest you answer my friends questions. He is both honest and fair, with little malice. The tower may still contain threats. You would do well to answer him swiftly." Dissa states calmly and clearly. Diplomacy : 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

I have a module credit assigned to this character that I totally forgot about. After this scenario Dissa will bump to L3 instead of L2. Is that going to break the table-swap plans? I don't know how many scenarios the teamwork masterminds had targeted. Sorry guys. I just noticed it last week.

Dissa embraces the surge of adrenaline roused by Bozmir's song. Madness and darkness mix quite well with the power of raging song. In the midst of his surge, Dissa feels the tranquility and clarity of Touch of Law from Vindler. Dissa is not sure he likes it, but he will strike in a predictable, no, average manner. He swings his Fauchard toward the giant frog from behind the shieldwall. Fauchard Power Attack Raging Song Touch of Law: 11 + 6 = 17 Fauchard Damage: 1d10 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12 What a great team we make! I look forward to all the time we spent together." Since we're talking tactics both in game and out of game, Dissa has a plan:
With these three classes Dissa can grant a teamwork feat as part of his aura, a teamwork feat using panache as a standard action, and a teamwork feat as a move action: 3x Teamwork feats in one round. Also, Gang Up (not teamwork) changes who flanks and from where, while Seize the Moment (teamwork) grants an AoO when an ally confirms a threat (not just while flanking). With Martial Flexibility, Dissa can change those he grants from battle to battle. The first two I'm targeting are Paired Opportunists (L3) and Outflank (L4). So all together AoOs provoke AoOs, flanking crits provoke AoOs, who counts as flanking is mutable, and crits provoke AoOs with a +8 to hit (flank & AoO). I think with Gang Up the shieldwall works really well, as any reach weapon still is flanking with folks in the front of the wall. I would highly encourage everyone to find a place for Combat Reflexes in their build. These teamwork feats can easily generate a dozen AoOs a round. Click on Dissa's profile under Relevant Feats. I have a whole write-up in there.

Bozmir: Noice and double noice! Dissa stands watch for his friends, trying to use his temple guard training for the benefit of his party. He keeps an eye on any doors while they conduct their research. "For my part, I've never been as good an individual combatant as I have a tactician. I've been able to rally troops, share insight, and impart the blessings of Tsukiyo to those around me." Dissa glows at the mention of his deity, firm in his belief as a conduit for justice and righteousness on behalf of the Prince of the Moon. "Unfortunately, today I cannot do the things today I used to do tomorrow. Maybe tomorrow will be today's tomorrow, but unfortunately today is not yesterday's tomorrow. Do you know what I mean?" Dissa chatters a little, perhaps only to himself.

Dissa positions his pole arm to reach the larger trog while still granting his companions access to the beast. Fauchard Power Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22 Fauchard Damage: 1d10 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13 Dissa glides smoothly through the room, and re positions his Fauchard to swing at the trog. He plants his left foot forward, traces a semicircle with his right foot, and with a twist of his hips the blade of his Fauchard snaps into the super-trog. "Can you believe these guys just barged in on our conversation like this? Some people just have no tact." Dissa looks at the super-trog with annoyance. "A little help Bozmir?" he glances toward his friend for assistance.

"Vindler, you're so comical. Do you really not remember? I used to be General Dissa Ray, but not yet. Today please just call me Dissa. We met in a broken tower a very long time ago. Before battles and exploration aplenty, before my body was broken and battered, and before I had more yesterdays than tomorrows." Dissa looks wistfully at his hands, which appear to be young, powerful, and lithe. Physically he looks quite strong, fit, and athletic but he carries himself with the posture and gait of a feeble geriatric. "I've shared more pints of Dwarven stout with you than I can remember, and certainly I've imbibed many I've been unable to recall in the morning. You always knew your way around a city far better than I, and the best taverns to boot!" There is a distinct fondness in his tone, true reminiscence of a lifelong friend.

Fort Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24 Dissa clambers up the steps and bursts through the door, clearly out of breath. "Hey everyone," he puffs, "sorry I was late. I got lost... on the way to meeting Dreng again." He lists to the left and leans heavily on the haft of his fauchard, seeing the standoff in the room with the Troglodytes. "Vindler, it's great to see you again! It's been a few days since last we were together. I forgot how dark your eyes are, but at least you're always in a great mood." Dissa smiles warmly at the dwarf. Turning his eyes to Ezren, he laughs "I remember when you said adventuring was for fools, back when you were young! How silly it must seem to you to be in a tower, flinging your stick at every opportunity." He looks at Qiote with puzzlement, "I thought you used to have a griffon. How are you, my old friend? I look forward to meeting you again tomorrow." He seems quite pleased to see Anthys, and stretches out his right arm toward the fighter. "Always great to see another holy warrior. How is your farm? Wasn't your wife from Trunau? Maybe we can visit her today or yesterday." Finally he turns to the Troglodytes. "I'm sorry we haven't met, I am usually pretty good with faces. Were you about to let us pass while we let you escape?" Diplomacy: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10

I'm comfortable with running either solution. Since they've already begun I think I would prefer to run separately. Hopefully we can play swiftly enough to match their table at the end. If not, I'm sure some fair warning about potential table combination would be fair. Also, If we have 5 (Dulomak, Bozmir, Dissa, Jeza, Barid) and one was GM for the other table (Barid), did they only have 3 PCs? I'm not sure how we add to 7 PCs with two tables...

Good idea, Dulomak! Why don't you roll the AoO now, so if you can make one we have fewer delays? Dissa may also get an AoO on the Neophyte "N" as he departed a threatened square. Fauchard AoO Power Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7 Nope.

Dissa saunters over to the fake wall, pushes his Fauchard through the illusion to the door of doors, and says "Wiffle". He's very confident that Jeza has pointed him in the right direction. He thinks to himself "Why do we even have a password if it doesn't open anything?"

"Is there a part of the wall here that refers to the Starstone Aspirants? I'm not very familiar with the Grand Lodge." Dissa is now even more confused. "So, we were looking for a Pathfinder who referenced three other Pathfinders, and she had a wizard friend, who knew a Stone Mason and hid a clue with him, but now we need to find three Aspirants who failed the Starstone test? I am utterly perplexed." He looks to his fellow Pathfinders, and asks "Does anyone know where to go next?"

Dissa is pretty sure the Mason had a trick up his sleeve, or skeletal mouth as the case may be. He grabs the coin and shoves it into his Wayfinder, mimicking Janira. "The path and chamber are complete, hidden behind the nameplate of the requested aspirant and guarded by the word you requested. Fimbrik will add more." "I think it's behind the name plate." He wedges the tip of his Fauchard in the grout between plates in the wall, attempting to pry Karina Clamp from the structure. "I bet the nameplate hides a lever, button, or other activation control. I've spent most of my life guarding these things."

A day early, but happy Veteran's Day or Armistice Day. I'm pretty sure our GM is a service member, so thanks for the Freedom! We can play Pathfinder (a form of protected speech) online (protected speech is extended to this medium) because of this freedom. "War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things: the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth a war, is much worse... A man who has nothing which he is willing to fight for, nothing which he cares more about than he does about his personal safety, is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free, unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself." -- John Stuart Mill

"Hmmmm. This is very confusing, but I think we need to visit the wall of names and Wiffle it. Let us search out Karina Clamp and the Wiffle Wall." Dissa nods to Janira and looks to the door. "Thank you again, Janira." Knowledge (Local): 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (17) - 2 = 15 "I think we take a left, but I'm also curious. Do you all think there is a path and chamber hidden at Wiffle Wall? Should we prepare for combat? I would assume if Fimbrik is involved there will be summoning and illusions at a minimum." The words form heavily in his mouth, as his slow wit arrives at the only natural conclusion. He looks forlornly upon his wayfinder, as though it is an undeserved badge of an equally undeserved office. "I have no skill with spells, but I will gladly apply the sharp end of my Fauchard to any threat that may arise. I can take lead, take damage, and take my chances against illusions. I wish I had more to offer. Maybe tomorrow..."
