From the other room, Vindlér hears a series of swishes as swords, lances, and polearms swing through the air. He hears Bozmir starting up some strange kind of northman's song that nearly makes his blood boil with rage, though Abadar grants Vindlér the resolve to resist the lure of fury until another time. He even hears a deep and menacing croak, followed by a thud. Through all of it, however, he didn't hear a single cry of pain. He rushes into the room and sees everyone standing locked in combat with a massive frog, but none of them seemed to be in the least bit of harm. "What have ye all been doing' in here? Dancing? Hit the bugger!" He lays a hand on Dissa's shoulder, imparting the blessing of Abadar to strike with just aim. "There. That should help ya."

Move into room. Use Touch of Law on Dissa. Shield Wall is active for another +2 on Anthys's AC and on mine.

Dissa embraces the surge of adrenaline roused by Bozmir's song. Madness and darkness mix quite well with the power of raging song.

In the midst of his surge, Dissa feels the tranquility and clarity of Touch of Law from Vindler. Dissa is not sure he likes it, but he will strike in a predictable, no, average manner.

He swings his Fauchard toward the giant frog from behind the shieldwall.

Opening the door to the last room unleashes a wave of stench, some foul mixture of decay and the troglodyte's own smells. Inside is a man in chains, with a large sack over his head. He is down to his smallclothes and looks emaciated, ribs poking through overly tight skin. Welts and bruises cover his frame, though it does not look like he has been cut into at all. His voice carries weakly from the bag, dry and cracked,
"Finally come to finish me?"

I imagine you're pretty weary from a few days of sickness and dehydration."

Balenar shakes his head, "I'm a little out of it, but my gear should help. I would prefer the troglodyte presence be eradicated entirely. Luckily if we eliminate their leader the rest will bicker for power or scatter. I think he resides on the top floor of the tower."

As the senior agent straps takes his equipment, Vindlér probes him for any additional information he might have about the tower or its inhabitants from his earlier search. As he asks his questions, he makes some notes for the report he would make to their VC upon their return from the tower. "So aside from the troglodytes and the assorted vermin we came across, did ya notice any other creatures or people that seemed ta be taking up residence in the tower?"
*skritch-a-scratch*
"Did ya happen to check that locked door on the third floor? We bypassed it so we could hurry up and find ya, but I'm sure the VC would be cross if we skipped a whole floor in our search."
*skritch skritch-a-scratch*
"Did ya make it any further up the tower than this?"
*skritch-a-scratch chik*
"Have ya found anything of value or historical significance?"
*skritch-a-skritch...scratch*

Baelnar chuckles as he buckles on his armor, "Truth be told I climbed up to the second floor and got to the door to the third before I saw anyone. I was debating whether to go back and get some help to open the door or just kick it in myself when I was ambushed. Troglodytes are territorial and are not likely to share their 'prize' with anyone else. We can spend some time exploring later if everyone here wishes, though I've only got one decent fight in me."

Will get last floor set up soon.

The four wings of the tower are completely open on this level, forming one great, cross-shaped chamber with arched ceilings. The decayed remnants of a carpet run from the doorways at the end of each wing, meeting in the center, where a spiral staircase drops out of sight below. Does the Detect Evil spell indicate that the Troglodyte boss is evil? I'm going to assume it does, and try to capture any impacts separately.

Move Action Dissa strides forward to threaten the troglodyte

"May the spirits flow through me and deliver victory to my forces. You shall die." An uncharacteristic wrath emanates from Dissa. The typically calm, and kind-hearted warrior flashes a deep streak of righteous fury, spreading throughout the entire battlefield.

Swift Action Dissa activates his "Weal's Champion" ability:
1) Dissa gains +Charisma (3) to hit and +1 to damage for 1 round
2) Allies w/in 30', which is everybody, gain +1 to hit and +1 to damage vs. Trog Boss for 1 round

Standard Action Attack!

"Feel the holy wrath of Tsukiyo! Let the power of the Prince of the Moon flow through me and vanquish evil from this land. May darkness and madness leave you in eternal repose!"Dissa screams as he approaches.

Fauchard Power Attack: 1d20 + 5 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 5 + 3 = 21 18 if not evil

Fauchard Damage: 1d10 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 9 + 1 = 18 17 if not evil

Could've sworn I read that as 1 standard. Must have been another spell for a different game. Ignore the bits about the spiders! Spell won't indicate evil (too low HD), but is indeed so.

"I can easily cure Mr. Vindler with my own wand. It's only fair, for all the good pubs he has shown me in the past." Dissa smiles at his recently chomped friend, and activates his spring-loaded wrist sheath. He pops two bursts of healing, and restores the undaunted vigor of his old friend.

2 Charges = 10 HP

With the more important work done, Dissa turns to Balenar and Anthys. "Have you eradicated all the threats from this tower? I can't remember how many doors we passed on the way up. Nor can I remember if there are any doors above."

Vindlér gasps with relief as Dissa delivers two bursts of healing energy to his battered and bitten body. "Thank you, my friend. I coulda done as much for myself, but I'm not so proud as t' refuse help when it's offered...and needed, I must say. I can't say I recall having shown ya any fine pubs as of yet, but I'll be sure t' do some o' that once we get outta here." He moves about the room and checks for any hidden features in the floor, walls, or ceiling, anything made of stone that seems out of the ordinary. As he does so, he calls upon Abadar's aid to help him see the truth of the place.

Using Touch of Law, then checking perception with steoncunning for a total of 21 perception

Didn't realize you had draconic or I would've written something.

Places to acquire followers:
Redtooth Village
Boartusk Swamp
Slanders stench
Filthy Wilds
Sewers of Absolom

Ideas for above-land kingdom
Nothing but scribbles and scrawl

Kind of sad that he looked so many places and could only get 6 followers...

Searching the room itself reveals the weakened floor in the east side under the throne. Were more people to be standing there the entire thing would collapse 50 feet to the ground below.

"No, apparently not. Suppose we should be glad of that, though." Vindlér looks down at the weakened floor and alerts the others, "Careful here behind the throne, by the way. The quake must've loosened the masonry. The floor here is ready to collapse if too much weight is on it." His gaze turns from the floor to the large chest sitting next to the throne and laughs, "Heh. Suppose we might want t' check what's in here, eh?"

Were the maps and all that what was in the chest or is there more...shiny kinda stuff? :D
