Male Human (Taldan) Fighter (Unarmed) 1

Garrick has no qualms about looting a corpse, and will help out.

Be careful. We don't want any of these guys jumpin up and attackin us!

then it's settled. To the burned room. Slim, keep that cannon ready. Never know if we'll run into more of those flaming skeletons.

Male Human (Taldan) Fighter (Unarmed) 1

Personally, I think we've done enough waitin around. We're all patched up. I say we look around and take the fight to them.

I could use a shot, doc, if you got any magic healin bullets left.

Oblivious, Garrick waits for healing, and snaps to focus when Asim shouts.

Wha? Oh good, I need somethin to beat on.

Male Human (Taldan) Fighter (Unarmed) 1

It's nice to meet you, and I'm glad to hear that Mala made it back safely. Now what say we get outta here? Spark, do you got any juice left in you to patch these guys up, or what? If those robo-bandits were just pretendin to be stupid so they could go get more buddies and overwhelm us, I'd rather not be here when they get back.

Male Human (Taldan) Fighter (Unarmed) 1

once again, Garrick notices neither jack, nor shit. :)

just a heads up, I'm almost done making the dwarven cleric for jade regent.

I don't know nothin about magic, but I know we don't have horses or a wagon. Unless one of you has a potion of titanic might hidden somewhere, theres no way we are all making it back to town like this. We need to either all hunker down until Spark can get his spells back, or we need to send someone back for help. I don't mind stayin to guard, and I don't mind goin back, so I'll let you all decide what you wanna do.

Male Human (Taldan) Fighter (Unarmed) 1

Garrick looks at the scrawny druid, and then at the chidlike bard, and shakes his head, sighing as he wraps his arms around Macawi's massive torso.

Well Sylv, it looks like me and you get this ton of bricks. Grab his legs, will ya? Sparky, Mala, can you handle Slim? We gotta get to one of those empty rooms and decide if we are going to hunker down or send someone back to town for help.

Male Human (Taldan) Fighter (Unarmed) 1

naw, they are immune to fire dmg instead. ;)

i will aid another for sparky / sylv to stabilize macawi. if asim doesnt kill the last skelly, ill also take a swift action to activate my turtle stance.

1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Male Human (Taldan) Fighter (Unarmed) 1

at least in PF it's -con instead of -10. I don't have any ranks in heal, but I'll still be trying to stabilize you (or aiding sparkys roll or somethin).

Male Human (Taldan) Fighter (Unarmed) 1

Dunno if I can do a ref save when prone, or if I get a bonus or penalty or not, but here is my straight up roll---

Ref save:

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13

Gah! These things are hot! Thanks, Spark. Now we gotta get the big guy outta here!

Male Human (Taldan) Fighter (Unarmed) 1

ok I gotcha. Where did macawi end up when he passed out? If he is next to me, can I stand up and drag him away from the door? If so, I will do that after sylv blasts the skelly. If I can't do that, I will stand up and take a total defense, using a swift action to activate my stance. I need one hand free though, so if I'm dragging him, I can't do it this turn.

Male Human (Taldan) Fighter (Unarmed) 1

I'm confused as to how sylvalia is acting again. We are still in round 1, right? I ask because if sparky still decides to heal me, I should be able to move away from the skelly before she shoots and explodes it...

Male Human (Taldan) Fighter (Unarmed) 1

he took 6 dmg from the fire aura at the start of his turn. even if he had the 5 temp hp, that still puts him at -2. which means there is pretty much no hope for either of us, as the aura will kill us both very very soon.

unless sparky can get adjacent to me to heal me without being adjacent to the skelly, since he can reach into my square to heal me without fear of an AoO thanks to macawi soaking it up. but in that case, i wont be able to drag macawi away, cause i would still be prone on my turn. eesh. these things are pretty nasty for a level 1 party.

Male Human (Taldan) Fighter (Unarmed) 1

thats odd, didnt realize you could delay when unconscious. hehe.

i sure hope macawi is willing to incur an aoo, or im pretty much guaranteed to be dead. he at least still has his temp hp, right? or if not, he should be able to use his psi focus to grab some. its all good, if i die ill make up a cleric so we can add some more healin to the group.

Male Human (Taldan) Fighter (Unarmed) 1

ill be checking in to see when im supposed to act. im pretty sure i will take 1d6 fire dmg before macawi can drag me away though, unfortunately. :(

Male Human (Taldan) Fighter (Unarmed) 1

I agree with the grease suggestion, personally

Male Human (Taldan) Fighter (Unarmed) 1

ruh roh. Flat-footed full attack, plus auto d6 no save, means im dead meat unless someone drags me away from the door. :(

Nice roll, Garrick! Can NOT believe I matched it.

wow, lol. If that doesn't open it, we need to either smash it down or go a different way. :).

Male Human (Taldan) Fighter (Unarmed) 1

woot!

Male Human (Taldan) Fighter (Unarmed) 1

eff it. Garrick is sick of trying to help Macawi, and frustrated that the door wont open.

You're just gettin in the way you big lug. Move over!

Stretch, get over here and gimme a hand with this door. Outta the way, Slim.

Garrick brushes past Asim and grabs the door, waiting for Macawi to come over.

given macawi has the highest strength, im thinking we should have him do the roll, and garrick do the aid another

Male Human (Taldan) Fighter (Unarmed) 1

Garrick will also stand guard with Macawi

Male Human (Taldan) Fighter (Unarmed) 1

I vote to go down the other hallway as well

Male Human (Taldan) Fighter (Unarmed) 1

Yeah, let's go down the other hallway. If you squeeze through these wires and get into some trouble, I might not be able to get in there and protect you.

Male Human (Taldan) Fighter (Unarmed) 1

Yeah, but if you try to disarm it, you will be right under whatever it drops if you cant do it right. I'm not a bad shot with a crossbow. We could always stand back and have me try to shoot the wire.

Male Human (Taldan) Fighter (Unarmed) 1

Garrick is cool with that marching order and direction as well. Lets do this!

Male Human (Taldan) Fighter (Unarmed) 1

Looks like for the next ones, we should try to cut the spiders out while the guys are still alive. Let's go. I'll lead the way. Mala, do ya think you can throw a light spell on my armor? These wayfinders are nifty, but I'd like to keep both hands free.

Garrick will go to the door (putting his dagger back in the wrist sheathe if it's not already in there), and he will wait for the others. As soon as everyone has weapons ready, ammo loaded, etc etc, he will open the door and take point.

Male Human (Taldan) Fighter (Unarmed) 1

Maybe, Stretch. But it also might be about to explode. Mala, if you wanna jar this thing, be quick, cause I don't think we should be standing near it!

As soon as Mala puts the jar over the spider, Garrick will move away from the jar on the ground, and if Mala doesn't do the same, he will grab her and pull her with him.

Male Human (Taldan) Fighter (Unarmed) 1

Destroy the damn things! They are either going to try to warn their fellows, or try to burrow into our backs! I aint bein made into no robot spider puppet!

Whenever it's my turn, I'll try to pin my spider, and if my pin succeeds, I'll swift action to pop a dagger into my hand.

Pin vs CMD -2

1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21

Male Human (Taldan) Fighter (Unarmed) 1

I don't know how fast those buggers are, but if Garrick can move up to one and grab it, he will try

Dammit! Don't let them get away!

Grapple

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22

Male Human (Taldan) Fighter (Unarmed) 1

Gods, he's chosen his fate. A choice between sword and gun? What's next? Giving him a choice of when and where he's executed as well? Do the deed already, or I'll do it with my bare hands. Any way you look at it, he's a dead man. The longer we talk to him about his death preference, the better chance his fellows realize somethin is wrong.

Male Human (Taldan) Fighter (Unarmed) 1

I cant say i see the honor in being executed like a rabid dog, tied up and lyin in the dirt. I'm thinkin that its just more practical to use them to keep us from being bushwacked, but whatever. I aint no marshal. I can borrow ya a blade if ya want, though. No sense wastin the ammo.

Male Human (Taldan) Fighter (Unarmed) 1

Ok. So they are choosing the human shield route. Fine by me. Anyone have something we can use to gag them, or should i just tear up some cloth from one of their shirts or something?

Male Human (Taldan) Fighter (Unarmed) 1

Upon hearing Sylvalia's long-winded response to their silence, Garrick will address the captives.

In case you dont speak in the scholar's tongue, allow me to translate. Help us, and we let you live. Try to hinder or hurt us, or aid any of your pals in there, and I cut your throats.

Then to his companions:

I say we gag em so they cant shout a warning, and leave we leave em tied up. Let them walk ahead of us. If there are any hidden traps, or buddies of theirs lying in wait with crossbows, they can be of some use to us, whether they are willing to cooperate or not.

Sylvalia gives Sparky an incredulous look for a moment, then realizes he was probably responding to her and not to Mala's conjecture.

She shakes her head and addresses Sparky. I fear the cost of such an augmentation would likely be the loss of one's sense of self. I would have to interact with this one, and others like him, to be certain, but there is something about his countenance that sets me at unease. I wonder if it has to do with his augmentation.

sparky doesnt speak elven. :)

Sounds to me like whoever is puttin in this stuff is using it to control these people. I cant tell if this is magic or science, but can this kind of thing be reversed?

Garrick, eager to move on to the next fight, walks up to the door and listens for foes.

Garrick will stand next to Sylvalia with his arms crossed.

Don't get to close to them. They were pretty strong, and I dont really know if those ropes'll hold em or not.

He yells over his shoulder,

Mala! Don't open that door yet! When Sylvalia is done talking to these guys, we'll all go in together!

Male Human (Taldan) Fighter (Unarmed) 1

Well, she said they are wanted dead or alive, so either way we'll make money. But, assumin they dont accept just bandit scalps, and require an entire bandit, then keepin them alive is best as far as movement is concerned. Carryin a corpse is a pain in the ass.

As far as takin them back right now, thats a whole nother problem. Right now, we got the element of surprise. If we were to take them back, and they dont check in with someone else at an arranged time, lets say, that could mean trouble when we get back.

Male Human (Taldan) Fighter (Unarmed) 1

you auto-succeed if the guy is unconscious. the dc to escape is they basically roll CMB vs 20 + your grapple bonus. so if i tie em up they need to hit a 27 to get out. at any rate, Garrick will help.

Garrick shrugs, and walks over to Asim to assist with the tying up.

I'm not no banditry expert, Slim, but these guys do have red patches on their armor. And Mala said the bandits around here are called the Redblades. I'm wonderin if that is their symbol. If she says that it is, then that's proof enough of banditry for me.

Male Human (Taldan) Fighter (Unarmed) 1

If anyone has a compelling reason as to why we should let these dudes live, throw it out there. Otherwise Garrick is gonna do an unarmed, coup-de-grace, stomp to the throat to take them out before they recover from the color spray. ;)

Male Human (Taldan) Fighter (Unarmed) 1

Garrick spits on the ground and reloads his dagger back into the wrist sheath. Having seen how the wayfinders work, he activates his as well.

Unless there is coin to be had in their return to the authorities, its probably better to just end em here. No use wastin good rope on em. Anyhow, they don't look the type to talk, and they would shoot us in the back as soon as they got the chance.

gotcha. ive never used a grappler before, so itll probably take me a while to get fully used to the rules. ;)

Garrick deftly (and luckily) avoids damage again, casually glancing at the Garundi with a condesending sneer.

Keep trying, craven! I'm not even close to drunk enough for you to actually cut me!

Garrick's flicks his wrist, and a wickedly sharp dagger appears in his hand as if from no where. He lashes out at the Ulfen before withdrawing.

Swift action: springloaded wrist sheath puts his honed dagger in hand. Standard action: melee with dagger on Ulfen with flanking. Move action: hit or miss, he will withdraw 5 ft down to get out of the cone.

i am almost certain that it is indeed just one check to escape a grapple, but can a pinned guy benefit from flanking? i figured that since he is almost helpless, and cant even attack, that he couldnt, but im not sure.
