Mah'ysa rushes up to Bahir and looks his cursed wounds over. "We can take a few minutes and I can prepare another casting of Remove Curse. Also, who has the Horn of Golden Draught? I believe its ability to break enchantments can also cure this curse." I really have no idea who is carrying the horn and suspect you've forgotten about it by now. But, Break Enchantment or Remove Curse will work here. See the campaign tab for the description of the horn if you forgot what it does.
Oh good, I hope Efreat's illusion will draw off this fake Bahir... Will Save, DC 20: 1d20 + 8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 8 + 4 = 14 (+4 for believing an illusion was coming.) Fail! What the ... ! Efreat brought in a real demon and is trying to kill us all... Efreat, what are you doing! Pae senselessly attacks the Hezrou illusion.
He easily strikes it (AC 12) twice, believing he damaged it.
<cough, hack> "Hazreem, not you too."
+2 Rapier: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (8) + 15 = 23 for P dmg: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 damage
Hazreem, I am not super familiar with whirlwind, but I didn't see any reason Pae cannot attack you. Let me know if I am missing something.
I always knew I couldn't trust her. Such evil hidden behind such beauty; she will surely kill us all ...
Pae draws his +2 genie-bane rapier and attempts to drive it into Mah'ysa. +2 Rapier: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (19) + 15 = 34 for P: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 and sneak: 7d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 1, 5, 2, 2, 3) = 18 [flat-footed, threatens]
36dmg, plus Mah'ysa takes -2 attack vs. Pae for befuddled: 1d4 ⇒ 2 rounds
Pae: Rogue +1 (Rogue 13)
Anyone have a good Feat suggestion for Pae?
Search for Traps: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (20) + 24 = 44
Pae continues to study the portal in the floor; first checking for traps and then to attempt to bypass its protections. "Well the good news is that I am pretty sure it isn't trapped. Since you are supposed to spill your own blood to open it, it would make sense that it isn't also trapped. The bad news is that I can't figure out a way around it. It's magical protections are quite potent. Efreat, Mah, or Hazreem perhaps stand a better chance."
"We can't stay out in the open on the ground like this much longer. We need a better advantage." Pae moves to the wall, activates slippers of spider climb and moves 20ft up (40' movement from haste). He then reaches into his bag of tricks and tosses the fuzzy little ball to the ground. Come on rhinoceros, I know you are in there... bag of tricks: 1d100 ⇒ 65 = Heavy Horse Much to Pae's disappointment, the ball strikes the ground and materializes into a heavy horse. "Oh well. Defend Mah'ysa!", he commands the heavy horse pointing to Mah'ysa.
Pae unequips his ring of protection +1 and adjusts the ring of the ram so that it begins to function. (Huge grey area, but we'll call that a move action). He then unleashes a blast of force at the orange fire giant near Bahir. ring of ram, 3 charges: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 5) = 9 force damage, no bull rush due to distance
Oh, Bahir! I've got my own issues here. Pae wonders how they will get out of this mess alive, but takes comfort in that things have generally worked out pretty good so far. He reaches into the bag of tricks and tosses a furry ball behind the fire giant attacking him in perfect position to flank. A Grizzly Bear immediately forms into place, and Pae commands the bear to attack immediately. using the large earth elemental on map for now Bag O' Tricks: 1d100 ⇒ 9 = Grizzly Bear
The bear's attacks miss as mostly expected, but assuming the fire giant leaves is alone Pae now has a flanking buddy.
"I just don't know. There isn't anywhere in this blasted place that isn't radiating brilliant light. Hugging the back wall may have us somewhat obscured by pillars, but it keeps us exposed longer. Plus, I don't think Bahir can sneak past a blind and deaf old nag let alone fire giants on alert." Pae motions for the other to come, stopping short about 2/3 of the way up and explains what is going on.
"Thanks Mah'ysa. I feel great!", Paellat shouts as he is able to get in an extra shot with his light crossbow. SA: xbow: 1d20 + 16 - 4 ⇒ (12) + 16 - 4 = 24 (-4 for firing into melee) Hit!
Dmg: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Wow, awesome rolling GM NPC! :)
Pae chirps up, clearly enthralled with Shazz, "Well, there was the whole finding another of Jhavhul's servants: Vezzaresh. He was being tortured in a giant brass apis; so much so that the courtyard was filled with his screams. He talked once we calmed him down. Though he didn't seem to know much about the Impossible Eye." "Actually our best lead so far has been the creepy apparition that speaks in riddles. What were all the things it told us?" |
