I think I will start Freire off by making a swim check as he is wearing Full Plate. If he makes it, he will pull out his dagger (I am always amazed at how many players don't carry one) because it would not be realistic for him to swim and use a two-handed weapon at the same time. Freire treads water and tries to move over to the baddie nearest him.
Having been able to swim, Freire draws his dagger and dogpaddles over to the nearest baddie. He then stabs the baddie with his dagger while also mumbling a prayer to Iomedae about keeping sharks and krakens away. And also lobsters!
