"In Hell's Bright Shadow" teases that Shensen has a Spoiler:
awakened deinonychus as an ally. Was that true of Shensen when she was your PC? If so, what's the story of how that came about? If not, how did it get added to the AP - in the original outline, a neat adder by one of the authors, or in development?

Loved the new venue. The hall for the PFS games was much more comfortable for all, plus removed the hassle in mustering for the regular PFS slots. Having some great restaurant choices a quick walk away helped as well. The temp food area was nice, but we had less time at dinner, so having it available then would be a possible improvement. Hopefully it was used enough that the hotel could extend the hours. This is the first year I brought my son (12 when we arrived, 13 when we left) and I appreciated how everybody, Paizo and fellow attendees, went out of their way to ensure he was having a great time. He got a huge kick out of Mike Brock coming over and joking with him before the Friday special. The extra token Mike gave him ended up being used in his roll at the prize table that got him his personal core rulebook, so he'll remember this interaction for years to come. I appreciated the players and GM pitching in to help him when he struggled with the free-form encounters at the start of the Sunday special. It would have been easy for them to get frustrated, but they were all great. Speaking of the Sunday special, hats off to John Compton for writing a great scenario. After Friday, we were hoping that Sunday was going to be the same plot, just flipping to Aspis, and we were not disappointed. For the love of Abadar, could someone arrange for a Bulmahn-sized microphone at the banquet podium? He always looks so uncomfortable having to scrunch down for his part in the previews. Please don't schedule slots that go past 5 in the main room on banquet night. The PACG had a 4-6 slot that was cut short by needing to be out of the room at 5. Less of a problem this year with PFS not having official afternoon slots scheduled. I was leery of the afternoons free of PFS, but I ended up being OK with it since I just played the PACG instead. There was so much to do, I never made it to any seminars or the delves. Great to have choices. Maybe offer a limited slate of "official" slots in the PM?
From last Friday: Erik Keith wrote: If you received a confirmation email for your subscription earlier this month stating that your shipment should leave our warehouse by the 22nd your S&S Base Set left the warehouse today. I assume that was flat-out wrong, given I've not received a shipping email with a tracking number? If it did go out anyhow, was the rest of my subscription order sent along with it?
My group is a little confused on properly resolving skill checks when dice are being added. Ex 1: Harsk needs to make a dexterity check (d8). He has the +1 box checked. a) on an unaided check, it's simply 1d8+1. Easy.
Ex 2: Harsk needs to make a ranged check (dex+3). He has the +1 box checked for dexterity. c) on an unaided check, it's simply 1d8+4. Easy.
I thought mustering was 100% better than last year. Still not perfect, especially when people ticketed for the event show up late, but I have no idea how to improve it. For the 2nd straight year I felt the need to drop a scheduled game because the sign-up didn't give what I thought was key info. Last year I hadn't heard of Bonekeep, so I didn't know what it really was. This year, John Compton came on the forums right before the con basically saying you don't want to play the scenario Assault on the Worldwound without having amassed boons from earlier scenarios. I'd rather be confident that I'm picking good events based on their description. Hopefully the PFS people can give you that info when you're populating the schedule. Otherwise, I thought everything was great! As usual, I met a lot of great people. Every table I sat at included a diverse set of people. The banquet was well done, although I wish people would quit lining up so early. The hotel improved its performance incredibly compared to last year. They kept the bathrooms and trashcans in much better shape IMO. Looking forward to 2015!

I agree wholeheartedly - thanks to Majuba for setting it up and thank *you* for running the game yesterday afternoon. I had a blast.

However, US Airways surpraised us by switching our Seattle-Pheonix-Charlotte with a Seattle-Charlotte and up graded us to 1st class, making the trip bearable. Yuck! Sorry to hear the part about the con crud, but the direct flight sounds like a win for the ages. It was great storming the diamond gate with you yesterday.

What? I didn't do anything! :) James - how many hours do you spend a week on the day job? Side/freelance projects?
Justin, at this point i will no longer be at this address by the time it would arrive, even if it shipped today. If you think it will ship in time to arrive in South Carolina by 12/27, it can go to that on file address. Otherwise it will need to go to the Louisiana address I have set up for the next subscription shipment.
This was my first con of any real size. I had a blast! The Paizo staff and fellow attendees were a bunch of awesome people. Food: I brought boxes of breakfast bars, nuts, and snickers because I anticipated limited time and high prices at the hotel. I did buy three meals at the bar (2 on Sunday since my flight wasn't until Monday) and the food, while pricey, was quite good. I'd love getting some food trucks in there somewhere. Mustering: very confusing for a newbie. I saw some of the same issues people are reporting for Sunday also happening in the Saturday afternoon slot. Let us know ahead of time that we're supposed to find our own table for the special. Noise: The noise in the gaming room was about what I expected. It didn't cause a problem for me. Banquet: What about assigning tables? *ducks* That would allow the existing buddy system to be used so people who wanted to sit with a friend could. Even though I was in line way back at the bar, I still got to sit with the Paizo employee I hoped I could, so I'm happy there. Again as a newbie I was unprepared to see folks lining up at 5:30. Assigned seats would remove the line too, until the buffet opened. Crystal ran a great goblin game! I'll never be able to look at a hound archon the same way again :)
