Flurry races down the corridor at full speed to help Ice Storm and throwing out a powerful body blow at Hauntress. Attack: 1d20 ⇒ 2+1 HA +4 HE +2 Acc Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 5 I'm not sure on how much movement I spent or if I did the calculations right; I don't know the system, really. Please let me know if I screwed up.
Flurry moves inside the building, placing himself where he can view both the front and back doors and access to both staircases, just in case of an attempt of the villains to sneak into the building first. Edit: Dialkar is placed down the hallway from Flurry, where he can see both stairwells, the entrance to the warehouse, the south door, and the alternate path of the north entrance, as well as being within view of Flurry so they can coordinate.
Flurry looks to Cardinal and Zane to see if they might come up with a plan for the ambush tonight. If nobody starts up a conversation on the subject, he goes to explore the big house, looking for the two most important places: the gym and the bathrooms. If no one wants to plan the ambush, I'm ready to advance to that time
Flurry types up what he can remember about the Crushers: Mocker deactivated. Not really leader.
He grabs a sandwich and chows down, as if suddenly hungry.
Flurry walks up to a tablet and after a little bit pulls up a text program. He keys in: Hi. I'm known as Flurry. I'm very fast and good at getting
It would be best for me to fight a heavy, slow enemy or to charge one that attacks from a range on the ground. It takes him a while to type as he's not really good with technology. He holds up the tablet facing the others so they can see it.
Flurry avoids the reporter as best he can, turning to face away from her towards the lobby camera. He smiles, lifts up his chin to show his neck, and squeezes lightly at the front of it to show he can't talk. He nods his head back towards the reporter and gives a look of urgency, hoping the computer will have figured out that the reporters need to be cleared (if it can do anything about it).
Flurry heads over to the building's door as well. How can I get TEACHER's attention, I wonder? He knocks heavily on the door a couple of times, then looks around for a fingerprint, hand, or eye scanner somewhere so he can identify himself. If nothing else can be found, he places his hand on the door for a moment to see if it helps.
Flurry steps aside to join Cardinal and the others away from the cameras. He lifts his chin and points at his neck before shaking his head to signal his inability to speak. He brings his fists up into a guard, flexing his muscles and swiftly shifting his feet. To those that were fans of boxing, he looks familiar, though something is off. Other locals might recognize him from his fights with street level thugs.
Flurry flips over Dash's card and smiles as he sees the number on the back. An address might have been more useful. His face turns very serious as he hears about the Crushers from the newscaster and his fists clench. He stays well away from being caught on camera. As Ice Storm releases his string of insults at the Crushers, Flurry's shoulders relax and he smirks, shaking his head in disbelief. Sure, it's faster than tracking them down, but can this group take on all of the Crushers at once? Can we do it when they know exactly where to find us, knowing we have no backup, and with them pissed off? At least we'll be in for a good fight... but am I in good enough shape to keep up with these Powered's?
A bearded, bald man who appears to be in his late thirties approaches the odd assortment of Crusaders-to-be. He smiles and nods to each member of the group. Assuming he's at the right place and with the right people, he approaches the Harmon Building's elevator, wondering why the others are just standing around outside.
Hey, still working on Iceman. For the oracle curse, instead of Blackened could I do "Frozen", with ice versions of the spells added to my oracle spells known and still taking the same attack neg? Also, for the racial abilities: 4 RP?: 1/turn can create ice slides up to 60 ft in any direction (including curves, ramps cost 10 per 5 feet upward or downward) that last until the end of his next turn. This activates automatically if he moves, following his movement as part of the slide. 4 RP: +1 to the DC for spells with the Cold descriptor. 2 RP: 1/day can cast a cold version of Burning Disarm. This upgrades to 3/day at 7th level and 5/day at 15th.
I'm not sure at which point in his career he should be. How long could he have known Dr. Xavier? Should he know Apocalypse or Loki or Spider-Man yet? In canon, Bobby Drake was one of the original X-men and had a pretty varied career as a part of different teams such as the Champions, Defenders, and X-factor, as well as becoming an accountant and teacher at some point.
I can change it, but it doesn't effect my movement speed in any way The 60 feet only allows me to do a double move action if I choose to without running out of ice (assuming I don't raise the elevation), as well as make a 4x3 or 6x2 platform or bridge. At 40, I could only use a single move action but with 10 instead of 15 cost for elevation I could still reduce a fall by up to 20 feet (the same amount). I could also only create a 4x2 bridge this way. Either works, but perhaps an immediate action instead of swift for the 40 so I can leave it unused and use it to reduce the fall of allies outside my turn if needed?
Well, I could create a custom continuous activation level 1 spell item for much less that attacks a 15 foot cone, freezes ground, and has a chance to slow enemies (cold version of burning hands), but I'm looking more for flavor than utility. Perhaps an at will swift action ability to create ice along a 60ft line or curve(all squares needing to be connected), that can raise elevation by up to 5 feet within a square by spending an extra 5 feet of the original sixty (so that square would cost 15ft total)? No squares would be able to occupy the same space as an enemy or ally and ice would disappear at end of next turn (allowing him to use to same ice bridge for the next turn or create a new one to travel along before the ice melts out underneath him). This could basically be his innate mutant ability, adding on for some RP to the base race. With his class abilities he could charge or run across all 60 ft in a turn or use this to catch a falling ally.
Iceman checking in. Still working on completing crunch and will work on background this weekend. Since Undine is only 7 RP, would a custom racial ability or embedded item that allows him to create ice bridges at will be okay? (His class abilities already allow him to move across ice as if it is solid ground) |
