Male Black Kobald Skirmisher - Level 3 | XP: 7 |HP 18/18 | STR+1; DEX+2; CON+1; INT-1; WIS+2; CHR

Sorry for the delay folks. Wow! A lot has happened! :)

Flung was thinking of his options of what to do with this mystical eye, when it suddenly comes hurtling back into the temple leaking green ichor.

He then follows the mystical eye back into the depths of the temple, being cognizant to avoid the pools of glowing green gunk left behind in its retreat.

Male Black Kobald Skirmisher - Level 3 | XP: 7 |HP 18/18 | STR+1; DEX+2; CON+1; INT-1; WIS+2; CHR

Flung tests his grip on his spear while wearing the gloves proffered by Thunk. Satisfied that he can still wield the spear effectively he waits to time his entrance into the temple.

As soon as the trio of zombies shuffle past him, he quickly darts into the temple entrance and quickly moves away from the door in search for cover to better asses the situation within.

So I have deep reservations about allowing Flung go into the temple alone. Since the necromancer might be able to de-level people with cold touch and one person alone cannot 'Aid' themselves, lets try to draw the necromancer out but still keep an edge of surprise.

If I pump steam into the doorway, Hegh, and Flung on opposite sides of the doorway can cut down the undead that continue to emerge probably unaware and disoriented.
-
When the necromancer comes out to investigate we ambush him as he emerges from the steam before he can figure out who or where we are.
He also will not be near any supply of fresh undead to send out at us.

As was said previously, it is not entirely clear if the necromancer is on the island or accessible from the portal.

However, IF the necromancer is accessible, I have some tricks up my sleeve to provoke him/her/it into hopefully doing something foolish.

Male Black Kobald Skirmisher - Level 3 | XP: 7 |HP 18/18 | STR+1; DEX+2; CON+1; INT-1; WIS+2; CHR

Flung climbs the rise to quickly assess the battle going on between the humans and the undead. He uses his prior experience in battle to assess the tactical strength of the human party and their ability to hold off the undead while also observing where the undead are coming from and how they are dealing with the humans to formulate his battle plan.

Flung is moved by the druid’s speech, of his ability to express his despair so eloquently. “Don’t accept it… No don’t do that” Flung replies to the Druid.

“Take that anger and hatred and hone it; shape it; work it until it is a burning hot tool of vengeance. You can be an instrument of Gorlaug’s and the swamp’s revenge! I, for one, will stand by your side and together we shall sow the seeds of destruction upon our foes who have brought us to this low place." Flung continues with emotion building.

"But I swear upon the ashes of Gorlaug, that I will do all in my power to avenge what the usurpers took from us!” he finishes vehemently and kneels in front of Pork with his spear held out in front in the time-honored tradition of pledging allegiance.

New bond for Pork: I will protect Pork from harm.

"Thanks Thunk!" Flung replies in appreciation to the return of his spear. "That's a nifty looking sash you've got there" he adds.

As the others settle down, Flung goes off to the side and looking around him to make sure no one is looking, he pulls out the the green stone and examines it closing while muttering "My prize! My prize!"

Loot: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 4) = 9

Flung climbs out of the cellar with the others to survey the wreckage and look for his lost spear. "Hey, has anyone seen my spear? I seem to have lost it when that ogre grabbed me" he says while rubbing his injured throat.

As Flung continues to search, he spies underneath the rubble of what might have been the chimney at one time, a badly damaged box containing a purse with some coins and another object.

Male Black Kobald Skirmisher - Level 3 | XP: 7 |HP 18/18 | STR+1; DEX+2; CON+1; INT-1; WIS+2; CHR

Flung rolls out from under the enraged ogre's legs and pops up, while pulling one of his javelins from the brace across his back.

"Suck on this, you oaf!" Flung manages to croak out with his bruised windpipes which are not feeling quite so painful thanks to Sees-Death's song. Flung then hurls the javelin at the ogre's head with all of his strength.

ogre throttling: 1d8 ⇒ 7

spear throw: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (2, 3) + 2 = 7
javelin damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6

Spear Throw:
I am not sure if I can use Spear Throw for the javelin, because the move states "When you throw your spear, roll+DEX". If DM rules that javelin DOES count for the Spear Throw move, then the complication I use is that it is lodged and not easy to remove. If it DOES NOT count as a spear, then this can either be H&S (failure b/c no bonus) or Volley (complication = placed in danger)

"Mighty Gorlaug is having his vengeance!" Flung exclaims "and I say we join in!".

"Follow me and thump the bad men!" he says to Thunk with malevolent glee and walks towards the main bar with his spear in one hand and shield in the other, looking for dwarves and humans and others of their ilk to help them to their doom.

Thunk moves like Thunder and quickly freezes with his club an inch away from Flung's head.

I suspect Defy "Danger"? just making this up

Flung quickly sides-steps the blow while using his spear to deflect the club away from his noggin. Then he dances backwards to give himself some operating room.

DD+DEX: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (3, 5) + 2 = 10

With the longer reach of his spear, Flung is able to keep some distance between himself and Thunk's club. After a series of feints and minor jabs, Flung brings the spear around to knock Thunk's feet out from under him.

H&S: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 6) = 8

Flung of course has flipped the spear around so that the non-pointy side will be making contact

Thunk think Fling has good sting. Thunk think Fling and Thunk should play, but no real thump. Then when time to real thump we thump good!

He hefts his club.

Flung glances at the flophouse for outward signs that Sees' ruse has been discovered. Observing that nothing is amiss, Flung shrugs his shoulders "Sure. But let's go back in the woods a bit, so that we don't create a spectacle of ourselves."

Male Black Kobald Skirmisher - Level 3 | XP: 7 |HP 18/18 | STR+1; DEX+2; CON+1; INT-1; WIS+2; CHR

"Hah! That's a good one!" Flung replies to Sees-Death's demand.

"You've got an interesting sense of humor. First you make googly-eyes at the frog and now you want one of my weapons?" Flung asks incredulously. "I don't think so! Maybe Smoog can whip up some sort of contraption for you." he mutters and turns to leave while shaking his head.

Approaching Thunk, Flung sits down next to him, chewing on some juicy hell hound morsels. Offering a bite to Thunk he says "Can you believe the nerve of her? Asking me for one of my weapons?"

Hearing Smoog's recap, Flung recalls Groglauk, his battlemaster, discussing with the warclan's leaders his planns to get rid of the Dwarf barbarian before the attack on their home.

Something about where the dwarf would be in the near future... They were planning an ambush... Now if I can only remember what they said...

Flung sits in the alcove, inspecting his gear and grunts every so often in apparent approval during See's tale.

He stares pointedly at the Grippli when it makes eye contact and curls his mouth in a slight snarl until the frog looks away.

Male Black Kobald Skirmisher - Level 3 | XP: 7 |HP 18/18 | STR+1; DEX+2; CON+1; INT-1; WIS+2; CHR

Flung sneers at the Grippli which vainly tried to ensnare him with their feeble nets.

He then catches sight of the grunge head (Grippli with the largest headdress) and remembers that Grippli grunges are very sensitive and protective of their heads (some weird kind of frog-honor is involved, Flung surmises). Hoping to distract the head and some of the others from his fellow kobalds, Flung begins to taunt the frogs:

"Is that all you got, you pus-filled bag of dung! I've eaten frog legs that have more kick than your filthy grunge!" Flung yells. Then Flung really gets going. "If you were any self-respecting frog, you would meet me in the open for fair combat. Although, I don't suppose it would be fair for the likes of you" he sneers. "Are you frog enough? Or do we have to dispose of your puny tadpoles first?!"

Distraction: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 3) = 9

Distraction:
This sounds like using CHR (social prowess or charm), but I could see it also using INT (quick thinking or useful knowledge). If INT, need to subtract 1 from the value. On a 7-9, the distraction is mostly successful but the GM will tell you of a complication. Perhaps it only works briefly or an ally can't help but be distracted too. Anyone taking advantage of the distraction gets a +1 on their roll.

damage from metal stars: 2d4 ⇒ (3, 4) = 7

Flung tries to bring his shield up in time to block the thrown projectiles, but is much too slow and grimaces in pain as his hide is pierced by the pointy stars.

Despite looking like a pincushion, Flung is still able to focus on the grunge* of Gripplis surrounding him and Thunk. Taking advantage of the distracted Grippli that is grabbing its hand in obvious pain from Thunk’s blow, Flung jabs it quickly in the chest with his spear.

Flung pulls his spear back and drops back in his battle stance eyeing the Grippli grunge surrounding them.

Flanking Maneuver:
Flung does 1d6 to opponent damaged by Thunk using Opportunity Strike. damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4

Flung is impressed with Hegh's battle tactics with his shieldbearer. Realizing that it is a sound battle plan for being outnumbered, Flung sets up in a position to cover Thunk's back.

"I've got you covered, big guy!" he says with spear and shield in the ready position to hold off the attacking Grippli, while giving Thunk enough room to move.

"Son of an mangy owlbear!" Flung exclaims when he sees his spear caught in the skeleton’s ribcage. To make matters worse the damned thing was using his own spear to attack the fire dude! Trying to think of what to do next, Flung’s heart nearly jumps out of his chest when the huge vampire bat plops down next to him. He was about to stab it with one of his javelins when it transformed into the druid. "Gah! Don’t do that to me!" he swears at the corpulent druid.

Then an idea came to him. Flung put his javelin back on his back strap and held his shield in front of him. “Follow my lead” he says to those next to him and then breaks out into a sprint, with shield held out in front of him and barrels into the group of skeletons attacking the immolator.

Flung was initially impressed by the bolt of energy emitted by Smoog’s device, which led to confusion when the beam seemed to miss Bolgir and hit the geyser of magic. Flung started to get real concerned when the lightning bolt seemed to make the geyser even more unstable. Not being very comfortable around the unpredictable nature of magic at the best of times, this had him even more concerned.

Since Thunk was recklessly spinning among the group of skeletons keeping them occupied and the other group of skeletons were not an immediate threat yet, Flung concurs with Smoog’s suggestion that a physical attack on the necromancer was in order.

Flung hefts his spear on his shoulder and heaves it towards the necromancer. Then in a well-practiced maneuver he pulls a javelin from its strap on his back and gets in a defensive crouch and tells Smoog “Keep an eye out for skeletons on our flank!”

Flung grimaces as Thunk charges into the mass of skeletons, and grins at the amount of destruction the big lunk was inflicting on the skeletons. well, that's one way to do it he thinks to himself for just a moment, before realizing that the other skeletons' attention were focused on the rest of the party.

Taking stock of the situation, Flung noticed that Smoog's attention was focused on some sort of device, rather than the advancing skeletons. Hoping that whatever that thing that Smoog was pointing towards the vile Bolgir would actually do something, Flung took position near Smoog with spear and shield ready to defend his friend.

Going to set Smoog as my Fulcrum for right now

Flung pauses for a moment at the strange light shining through the trees, but figures he should follow after Thunk as he charges onward.

As Flung heads for the treeline, he belatedly realizes that See's is chanting something. Weird, he thinks to himself and realizes he is starting to feel rather energized. Ah... this must be the battle song the war masters spoke of!

Trailing behind, Flung does his best to keep up with Thunk while also keeping an eye out for nasty surprises.
