didnt read all the wall of texts In any foot race the competitors always know their position as they can see the completion and their relative location to one another. After the race the competitor can then judge themselves, by their individual race times, to the finalists into how they can improve. Since this competition is done in groupings. Maybe instead of releasing individual rankings, just release the consolatory groupings of the individuals. As that may motivate an individual who is thinking about not competing in further contests, to give it another try. Since we know the top 33, it would be nice to know who was in the runner up 66 (33-99) , and maybe even the dont give up 132 grouping (100-232)
James Casey wrote: Shield Of Embers I'm glad you liked it. The construction cost is broken. I would remove touch of combustion. I was afraid others may have felt it needed a second spell in the construction (it doesnt). It may also need a 3 uses/day activation as it may be a tad powerful. I originally had a favored defense trigger via instant enemy but it got muddy in the wording, and pricing started getting high for having 3 spells.

the judges probably look at less than 200 items now that the voting system is in place. As most of them do have lives outside of the contest. Clark has mentioned how much time the judges had to dedicated when they were the only ones processing the entries.
There was a comment about the voters taste. Remember that the winning 32 +2ish alternates are selected by the judges, who select their lists from the top pool of of up voted items. So if there is 352 post-cull items, I suspect the judges will look at least at the top quarter of the list (88 items) to make their lists and compare that with the other judges selections Additionally, in the past, each judge had a golden ticket that would make one of their favorite items one of the 32. This means that there were items that made the top 32 that werent the top 32 up voted items.

Not every item has to be superstar. Having access to generic items allows the for the character's to have progression devices. IE the player progresses from having the mundane to wielding the epics. Its also the key to selling products just look that progression of mundane to individual/specialty monsters in the monster manuals.

Generally the items lacking formatting arent as creative as those with. But with that said I've voted for the more creative item even though it lacked [b] and [i] formatting. Formatting can be corrected, creativity isnt so easy to teach. Now not following the template is a more egregious action, and that usually gets the opposing item up voted
Since Sean McGowan had this in his top 32, I'll post up for review. I'm not sure if this is the exact text I submitted --- Arc Light of Spectral Reclusion
If the arc light is not in use, it can be used once per day to surprise and frighten a single incorporeal creature that is within 15 feet of the light. As a result the frightened creature will flee beyond the 60-foot radius of the light, unless the incorporeal creature succeeds a Will save, it is shaken for 1 round. This surprise attack will make the incorporeal creature immune to any other effects of the light for 24 hours. The arc light typically has 50 charges with each charge lasting for 30 minutes. Because of the light and the noise the arc light generates during its use, creatures within the 60-foot radius suffer -1 to initiative, and -1 to hearing-based Perception checks. Construction
--- Concept = an item for rich travelers to equip in areas with heavy spectral manifestations, such as the antarkos sea, to escape and/or avoid an encounter. Originally worded the item so that it would hide the entire conveyance (ship, stagecoach, etc) but that made adventuring too safe. It was also intended that the light would stop/affect any spells or abilities that allowed for shadowy teleports and such. but that seemed too powerful, wordy, and could hamper rogues. after submission = was fearful that the it was mundane, and too much of a siac. I also worried that It didnt explain recharges. I would have reworded some of it now that I look at it. I also forgot to apply the would the villains and the heroes use this item rule.
could I get an official clarification of what this rule = "Note that the Advanced Player's Guide includes new rules that are not archetypes and therefore are not valid submissions for Round 2 of RPG Superstar. Examples of these invalid rules are barbarian rage powers, cleric subdomains, alternate classes like the anti-paladin, ranger combat styles, rogue talents, sorcerer bloodlines, wizard schools, alchemist discoveries, cavalier orders, oracle mysteries or revelations, summoner evolutions, or witch hexes or patrons. Your submission must be an archetype." is specifically saying? Is this saying that mentioning or using these rules are out of bounds? or that development of these specific subsets of rules are grounds for dismissal if its not an archetype
an Azlanti would most likely have Ancient Foe - humanoid (reptilian), due to their ophidiophobic / xenophobic conflict with the serpentfolk. The humanoid type foe could be substituted for an Aboleth with a character or regional trait, for those Azlanti that were involved in the conflict with the Aboleth before the Starfall.
* Did the first world exist before the material plane and Golarion? * Did dragons ever live in the first world before the existence of material plane? * Did the Aboleth ever live in any other plane before the existence of the material plane? If the first 2 questions are "yes" and last question is "no", then the answer to which came first would be dragons

Dragons came first Tiamat and Apsu created the original gods of the multiverse. Their offspring Dahak created the mortal dragon race on the Material Plane. http://pathfinderwiki.com/wiki/Tiamat
I suspect the following:
the Aboleth were only pressured to react once they realized the serpentfolk had established an empire that surrounded the Aboleth waters. Being out of their element (literally) the Aboleth sent/influenced their air breathing slaves to deal with scaly menace, in the process the Aboleth lost control of their slaves and nuked um from orbit

Hey look _you_ already listed 2 names that equates to 'several' which is more than none. I never said it was common (nor did I say western), which is what your argument should have been instead of saying their were none only to invalidate your own statement in the next sentence.
Pirates would accept anybody to be a deck hand this includes females! There were several famous female pirate captains. Captured slaves were a captured commodity just like any other treasure. If I also remember correctly the slave ships were avoided because of diseases and it took more work to convert slaves into money.
1) Is the correct spelling Antarktos per James' posts or is it Antarkos per AP#56? There is an additional(or missing) T for the unobservant ;) 2) Are the ghosts aware of the living? If so do they interact with the living, if even at random times or events? Would this interaction include attacking the living because of coming into proximity of the living? 3) If the ghosts encounter an iceberg, or land will they continue their meandering southerly quest over (or under) them? Or are the ghost strictly waterborne manifestations? 4) Is this spectral congregation a nod towards a ghostwalk inspired portal to the afterlife(manifest), a lovecraftian idea, a more traditional concept like the Inuit sky/spirit hole that leads up to the afterlife, or some other concept? 5) Are the aquatic giants unstated giant humanoids or some other already know race (aboleth)?
Ugh, I dont have the final copy. Here is a working version Crown of the Hellion
This crown is made of interwoven steel rings, which seemingly end in evenly spaced small spikes; versions that are more ornate are adorned with gems, heraldic badges and/or inscriptions. While worn the crown provides a +1 enhancement bonus to Charisma. Once per day upon command, the crown temporarily transforms the wearer into a mischievous troublemaker for 1 minute/wearer’s level. The transformation elongates the ears, causes small goat like horns to appear, and gives a +1 enhancement bonus to Strength, and Dexterity. Additionally the transformation allows the wearer to incite a single ally within 30 feet as a standard action. An incited ally gains a +1 morale bonus on attack rolls for as long as the wearer is under the crown’s effects. Additionally the incitement allows the ally to be able to perform any combat teamwork feat initiated by the crown’s wearer, even if the ally does not meet the prerequisites of the feat to perform it. While in combat if the duo reduces an enemy life to 0 or fewer hit points while under the magical effects of the crown, the wearer will become more treacherous by gaining a cumulative +1 luck bonus on attack rolls, and damage rolls, as well gaining the ability to inspire and motivate another ally (only one ally maybe inspired at a time, maximum +5 bonus). A qualifying opponent has a number of Hit Dice equal to or greater the wearer’s Hit Dice –4. Construction

So you and your friends have the quest to help the village by lifting the curse placed on it by the son of Sauron the party must retrieve the unholy ankh from the Sauron's pit. So after a 10 min ride to the pit you encounter greifers and they kill the party. The party then looses all their pots. So they decide to make the pots inside the dungeon after another 15 minutes your party finally makes it inside the dungeon So the party makes their pots and has a successful adventure. Seelah even finds a missing page of a holy codex. Upon exiting the dungeon the griefers kill the party again and they loose all the items. unholy ankh = quest item
Im not saying that the entire stack should be safe, just have certain constraints so that griefing meta-game doesnt overpower the actual game, and create unpleasant gaming sessions.

Lots of questions sorry in advance Quote:
Will a PC die at 0hp or will they fall unconscious? If a PC falls unconscious can it be robbed? If the PC is unconscious and the attacker stops, does the pc die? If so does the attacker then become the killer? Will there be AI NPC hirelings? If the PC has AI hirelings/pets/eidolons/champions/familiars can they return a pc's soul to the corpse with the proper abilities? What about if the pc is unconscious can they heal/ restore the pc? Will they protect your husk/corpse? Quote: until you return to your husk, you are in danger of losing the rest of your inventory...." a looted corpse destroys "the rest of your inventory.. and removed from the game. Please make certain exceptions for quest items, specific reputation, gathered resources, and profession items to remain on a looted corpse for a longer period. Nothing sucks more than taping a resource node and then getting ganked, or trying to get into a dungeon. Then to add insult with what was described would be to loose any items needed for further completion of quests and etc. Example remember the fights to get into MC or BWL? Now imagine loosing raiding goods to a greifer group. How are you going to do the inventory management/banking system? people arent going to want to carry much on them. Quote: Pathfinder Online's bounty system is a lot more selective. When you are murdered—that is, killed unlawfully—you will have the option to place a bounty on your killer's head. Will there be a reputation system that punishes the greifer in addition to the bounty? example if a team outlaws/griefers are killing pcs outside the marshaled zone of thornkeep and generating higher bounties will they still be allowed to keep coming into thornkeep or the other 2 towns (assuming they are associated) with out any adverse reaction from the npcs, like higher purchase prices, lower resale prices, guards becoming hostile, and losing that soulstone location? If PC's action result in a marshal and the PC dies is there any additional punishment? Quote: If you attempt to heal or buff characters who are in the act of attacking others wont this discourage players from coming to the aid of others? Maybe there should be some sort of Karma award that initiated by the pc getting ganked. What will stop a ganking player from placing a bounty on a Pc that successfully defends them self? Kind of off subject how are yall going to deal with gold sellers, and botters. I know a lot of people love ganking botters since its a way temporarily disrupt their actions. But with the bounty program legit players can become an the target to those that "illegally" control a majority of the in game monetary system

"Prized by any warrior" this item can be worn by all classes yet this part of the description verbally limits the selection. cats are known for stealth not their smelling Mask of the Stalking Hunter
A finely wrought mask made of molded leather, and stylized to appear as that of a large predatory feline. While worn the mask grants the wearer the prowess of a great hunting cat by allowing the wearer to pounce, whenever the wearer uses a charge or partial charge action to attack a flatfooted opponent. The mask also gives +1 dex, +2 competence bonus to perception(hearing) and survival checks, Low-Light vision (90'), and fast stealth Construction
