Fei Wan broke up laughing at the absurdity of it all. He had truly befriended Neela, and he had been looking forward to whatever experience that might come from it. The true joy of seeing her dreams come true. The crushing guilt of letting her down. The look of despair when she died. But he got none of that. She had just died to a boulder. It was so random. It was so *absurd*. And he drunk the moment in, committing it to one of his memory stones. Such an experience was new, and as such it was treasured. Flying through the air, the vines that covered him grew into a pair of blades that covered his arms. Still grinning, he tore into the closest bird, lest he fall prey to its rocks.

Fei watched in rapt attention as the unfortunate died. Not so much on the death itself, he had seen that happen a thousand times. The emotion was strong, of course, but there was a sort of routine with a man dying. But Chamak? Oh! The sweet lies on his voice. The bitter reality of bringing the only relief possible. That was rarer. And it was fascinating how different people reacted to such a grim task. Intently, he watched as the necessary happened. Only when the spectacle was finished did he turn back to the task at hand. ”A good idea. Height to avoid the insects and to get a lay of the land.” He said cheerfully as he followed.

His arms were likewise thrown to the side, as if though he were a conductor in an orchestra. Plants and vines burst from the ground, grasping at the legs of the unfortunate animals. Where plants touched, flesh withered and rotted. High above, the fey watched with delight.

Fei frowned as his handy haversack became far less handy. He had nothing inside of it, but it had been quite handy for when he had to carry…well…just about anything he desired. He looked around at the blasted wasteland. It wasn’t quite a new experience to be surrounded by such desolation, though he reflected that not needing to eat, breathe, drink or sleep would likely be useful in such an area. He glanced over at his companions, curious to see if they’d begin choking on the air. If so, he wanted to be present to see it. At least that wound be a new experience. He’d seen quite a few people die from drowning, or from the spells of a mage who had turned the air to poison…but to immediately start dying from the natural air of a world? That was worth witnessing.

Fei flew up and over the constructs, his mind racing. He had never seen anything like them before, and that made them fascinating. "So we walk away." Fei agreed, though he wasn't really listening. Wondering what would happen, he flapped his wings harder...and harder...the vines glowing with an inner light. Hovering over the constructs, this flapping caused the wind to pick up, causing a small whirlwind to form. While it certainly wouldn't damage them, it did slow them down. Enough for everyone to easily have the opening they needed to fall back. Whirlwind: If the target possesses a fly speed, the target gains the whirlwind universal monster ability. If the target possesses a swim speed, the target gains the water elemental’s vortex ability. The target may use the whirlwind and vortex abilities at-will, and can transform as a standard action. If the target possesses both a fly speed and a swim speed, the target may freely enter and exit water while transformed and is considered to be in whichever form is most suitable for each space the whirlwind or vortex would occupy. The Reflex DC for the whirlwind and vortex abilities granted by this trait is equal to the caster’s Alteration sphere DC. The whirlwind and vortex is always 5 feet wide at its base, and its maximum height is equal to the target’s size + 1 size category larger per 5 caster levels (maximum Colossal) on Table: Whirlwind Trait Sizes. A whirlwind or vortex’s width at its peak is equal to half its height. The target can control the exact height, but it must be at least 10 feet high. If a target’s size is smaller than Small, the target is considered to be Small-sized for this trait. (Requires fly or swim speed)

I think all it does is force a Ref save. Though it would only slow them down, allowing for us to potentially escape. Though the whirlwind will be small so it wouldn’t catch all of them. At least that’s the best solution I can come up with.

To figure out next steps, Fei’s ability turns immunity into resistance 40. But mythic acid immunity makes it immune to acid? I don’t know how the two interact, but I’d assume mythic supersedes it? Regardless… Adhesive Blast (blast type, acid) You transmute your destructive blast into a sticky, acidic sap. Your destructive blast deals acid damage, and any creature struck by the attack or that failed their Reflex saving throw if one was required must succeed at a Reflex save or be entangled and unable to move for 1 round.…it was still hit so it still can be entangled?

62 acid damage Penetrating Blast (Your destructive blast ignores energy resistance equal to your caster level. You may spend a spell point to increase this effect to become twice your caster level. If a creature has immunity to your destructive blast’s damage type, treat that immunity as if it were ‘resistance 40’ instead of ‘immunity’ and calculate as normal.) So these things have vs Fei acid resist 40 and he ignores 6 points. Thus 28 damage and ref save needed vs entangle (As Fei only does acid damage I figured that I needed a way to make it work. I suppose as it’s “rot” using the acid descriptor it makes sense that it overcomes what acid normally can’t)

He remembered a memory trapped in a sensory stone. A dusty road. Two men, each wearing cloaks and wide brimmed hats. Both had wands on their belts, and were waiting for the other to draw them. The mages faced off, waiting for the other to make the move. The cloaked figure before him seemed so familiar. He could feel the anxiety of the mage in the memory. He could feel the beat of his heart and the rush of adrenaline. He threw his wings out wide as if though they were a cloak and whipped is hand up, pointing a finger as if though it were a wand. Tendrils of vines appeared from the lifeless ground, called forth by his spell. They crept up the legs of the voice in the hood, and where the vines touched rot spread, blossoming like black flowers. It did not matter if it was organic or inorganic matter, wherever the plants grew, something withered. To make matters worse, these vines restricted movement, making it difficult to either escape, or to close the distance. The Gathlain felt as happy as a child who had found a new toy, as he watched closely to see the reaction of the hooded figure. His eyes unblinking, he tilted his head as he watched, waiting to see if the plaything would scream in pain or defiance. He truly hoped that it had something up its sleeve to surprise him. The echo of the mage duel lingered in his mind. Fei Wan could almost feel that sorrow, borrowed and distilled, and he savored the anticipation of what new sensations this encounter might offer.

"Why would we reject you? Anyone could turn traitor when devils are involved. Only a fool would play with the Hells and not account for that." Fei Wan strode in. He was a lithe humanoid, his skin was an earthy brown, and his flowing hair was almost blonde to the point of being white. His wings, along with the horns that curled from his head, seemed to be made of wood and vine. As for his eyes? They were translucent, with an inner glow. It was obvious that he was one of the denizens of the First World. Given that this was sigil, he did not stand out. "Fei Wan." He said, a perpetual smile on his face. For the moment, it was friendly. Hmm… (Fei Wan): ageless, otherworldly fey who drifts through planes out of boredom and curiosity: detached, capricious, treats mortals and their religions as playthings or curios. Not out of outright maliciousness, but rather because mortality isn’t something he truly gets. (Neela): mortal (kobold sorcerer) with a more grounded origin: trauma, survival, devotion, and a tangible tie to the mortal world. —— Perhaps… Fei Wan came to the mortal plane and met Neela. He played along, at the part of a mortal from the same world. Sharing in the religion, the battles, the struggles, and even fleeing a great cataclysm. And through it all a true bond has formed. For he found in Neela something truly rare. A mortal who has kept his attention. And in fleeing the <insert cataclysm> he took the two of them to a “safe” place. Sigil. The city of doors. Because it got them away from what they were fleeing from, and into what will hopefully be another entertaining adventure. —- As a note…Fei Wan doesn’t feel emotions the way mortals do. He experiences them as colors, sounds, textures…sensations to be sampled. Through the Sensates he has seen and felt what mortals do, and has enjoyed every second of it. And he mimics what he has experienced through the society. He’ll never know what it is like to have a family, but he has tasted what others felt. If that makes sense? Even sadness or loss is something he’d cherish experiencing. I’d be going for something which as a fey has a more alien mindset.
More or less made Fei Wan into an Elementalist / Paragon Shifter Bite (+19) with trip attempt if it hits
Ranged attack is +14 hit, 6d6+6 acid damage. Ignores spell resistance when fired as a full round action AC 30. With or without martial tradition. More than happy to lose any combat talents. Just wanted dragon and zodiac tattoos. Though unarmored fighting would also be more than welcome for that “unarmed and unarmored” vibe. It isn’t necessary…but it would be welcome. Saves are 11/16/10…but +18 vs mind affecting. Decided to lower it for. +24 as it seemed excessive. Bunch of other stuff. Resistances, movement, healing, etc etc ——- Anyways…a non full BaB melee fighter. Decided to stay at 3 attacks instead of stacking everything up for a ridiculous amount. He'd need to change his form and get away as soon as he could. He *really* hoped that the party had found a way to get rid of the real bartender. The entire plan hinged on ambushing the slavers, now that he had set it up. If anyone questioned the real bartender, well...it could all come crashing down on their heads. He tried to calm himself.
