For those of us that have been left behind in the Print Add On Limited Leather Edition of the Emerald Spire, we've been offered what amounts to a $15 credit.
Goblinworks is saying that we can take the regular printing of the Emerald Spire book (and the rest of the print addon pack) and a one month credit.
Thus, they're saying that the Limited Leather Edition of Emerald Spire is only worth $15 more. If this was the case, they wouldn't have sold out so fast.
For me, that's not fair. We've waited three months to get a solution. I think they should make things equal. We waited three months to get a solution, so we should get three months of added game time. That's $45 and that makes the books comparable in a cash value ratio. However, I also asked that they sign my book. Authors and employees of Goblinworks. Make our books (or at least mine, since I'd want this) to be as limited edition as the leather bound ones.
GW and Paizo dropped the ball on this one. I'm OK with getting a regular edition of the book. I just want to be fairly compensated for my backing of this project from day one and not getting what was offered.

I think the art in this book is fantastic. However, I think there's far too much artwork in the book and a lot less substance.
One of the things I'd like to have seen covered is companions and the best equipment and magic items to get them to move around. How many rooms have a ladder? Or some other obstacle that prohibits Druids, Cavaliers and others from getting their companions into an area. In many situations you can't hoist a horse down a ladder hole and into a dungeon. Wolf's and Dog's are hard enough. Some ways on which mounted combat could be utilized in a dungeon. The last PC was all about animals and this one doesn't do anything to help a new user of a camel in a place that is (in the original game) half of the name of the game.

Hi CS Team.
I would like you to hold processing and shipping of my order until Monday.
I want to add another subscription or two and would rather just have it all come out at the same time. I worked a ton of extra hours the last two weeks and figure my Paizo collection should benefit. I'll pay for the items in my cart over the weekend if it's possible.
Thanks.

I have a couple questions regarding the add-ons.
I assume we can have more than just one or two characters.
If so, and we buy a title, do we only get that title for one character? Or do all characters get the title?

As a KS backer of the Tech Demo, is there a place were I can view the video? As a KS backer of the Tech Demo, we're supposed to get titles on the forums but is that on the Paizo forums or is that on a GW Website and forum? Since my Paizo email is different than my KS email, do I have to do something to get the Goblin Squad emblem?
Thanks for any insight.

When I typed my response, which took me far to long to hit submit, Foghammer's correction wasn't available.
Also, Coup's don't usually last. It's why I argue so much for cultists instead of followers. Cultists always win in the end, whereas followers get defeated.

You know that there is never a first annual anything. It's an inaugural event and an annual event for the second time the event is held. I realize that maybe the editors of Paizo are at GenCon and ultimately, the Coup is going to ultimately fail.

The problem with the Society is that it is filled with wrong do-ers. The Society asks us to plunder, maim and often kill others in the name of placing our names in a book. All too often, this even happens in the Great Taldor. We must refrain from injuring are fellow nationals.
When our Society Masters and Venture-Captains ask us to travel forth, we need to make sure we provide a positive image for our Grand Taldor.
Of course, any injury to the hated Qadirians is allowed.

Hi all -
I have a very large collection of RPG's. I have some very rare finds from all editions of D&D - and many 3PP of each edition as well. I'm unsure of how many books I have - but with all the systems and materials it's enough for 4 large book cases. I've taken pictures of the book shelves and books - but never cataloged each book or determined condition. I'd never really considered selling my gaming collection, but now - after 32 years of gaming - I think it's time to call it quits. I think since I just bought a brick of mini's on Friday!
I'm sure it's worth to me is $10,000 - while someone else would likely only pay $1,000 - but I'd like to see how best to determine value and if it's worth selling by the piece or just the entire collection.
Thanks for any thoughts.

Buying and selling of boons isn't cheating or even wrong. It's been done with the MMO market for many years and garage sales have been selling books and toys for much longer.
It is yet another marketing tool that Paizo can utilize to further their goal of more players. If I were to sell you some of the Phoenix Tournament coins, GenCon boons and other goodies that were given away, you may take those to your local shop and players and discuss it with them. You and they may not have been looking to attend a convention but the ability to play a particular race or have a particular ability might make it worthwhile.
For my latest character - I have Six Boons tied to my character. Racial, ability to learn a language, ability to use a weapon, ability to be immune to something and something else. None of these say that they don't stack or that they are not permitted to be used on one character.

Besides, lets say I decide that I'm sick of Paizo and Pathfinder. I want to sell my massive collection. I might have an autographed book that I want to sell but isn't getting the eBay attention I want. I add in this boon and WHAM! Sold for an additional $10.

So if I decide that I don't want or cannot afford the PA/GP cost of those two additional Full Restoration spells with a Raise Dead - I lose two levels? Thus allowing me to play my character even more? Doesn't really sound like a lose-lose situation. I could even decide that those last two levels were bad ideas and re-build my character with them. Of course, if it isn't expressly forbidden in PFS play than this should be an option to consider. If the level drain 'must' be restored to continue playing a PFS character a new Raise Dead with Full Restoration concept should required in the guide.

So what happens when a PC dies in PFS? I too have looked in the document and from my previous understandings there were no penalties. Since I didn't notice that there were penalties, I didn't take them when my PC died and played again this past Con.
When Raise Dead is used - you suffer a penalty and that is? Why is that better or worse than a Resurrection and would I have been better off with that being that either PA or money is no /was no object?

As a Venture-Captain I'm sure you've organized a few games and now earning your 4th star for GMing 100+ PFS games is something to be celebrated. A while back Paizo had discussed setting up a star rating for organizing events in addition to GMing them. Congratulations.

This. Also, skinning someone and wearing their tattoo as your own is a pretty evil thing to do. That player should consider carefully if that's what he wants to do in a campaign that specifically disallows evil PCs.

But does doing an evil deed once make you evil forever? Is wearing the ears of defeated foes on a necklace evil? Is there really a difference? One might be messier than another - and unless the person has mortician or another skill in skinning animals the argument against being able to effectively remove it might be made. A nice and sharp skinning knife might be needed as well. The GM has many more counter-arguments against taking the tattoo than declaring 'its evil.' There are far too many evil options in PFS play - deities, factions and lack of listed laws to utilize that as a definitive argument.

I think that the idea has merit. However, knowing your intended use is helpful, so is the actual game mechanics. I could see Taldor as the creator of this project, spending thousands of gold coins to make it work, and often it having a good chance that it wouldn't.
From that point of view, I'd name it the Taldan Doppelganger or something to that effect. Of course if you have a Golarion specific aspect in mind modify the name to reflect that.
