"I could pretend to be her if I liked and no one would be able to tell the difference. I wonder where she is off to terrorize next..." he says after she has left and they are on their own again. Eryan makes sure someone else is in charge of the buying and selling of items (It's only fair we all chip in for party use items) while he goes off to inspect the town disguised as a common traveller in poor looking clothing. Visiting taverns and the markets, he wants to find out the general view the people have about the temple and that banished eye eater. "What would you do if it was re summoned here again? That's a terrifying thought isn't it?"

I guess reinforcements are in short supply right now. "Miss Lil. I hope you will be able to keep up." Gnomes... Very strange creatures. He had never seen one only heard of the things. Fey ancestry or some such runs in them but this one has also been touched by death. Fey blood and vampire could make an interesting combination. "What are we to be doing next Cardinal. Burning down the capitol?"

"Do they all scream? Or do some try to be heroes and stop you? " As the days go by he is often seen meditating. Being stuck on a ship without being able to go and join Tiadora in terrorizing the villages is rather boring. Eryan is woken by Tiadora telling them that Thorn was finally here, instantly he was fully awake. "Enough of this waiting."

Eryan boards the ship without question, other things on his mind. Where they were going now he did not care. We finished our mission. But clearly there is more he wants us to do to cause the Fall. Of course no bugbear army could hope to take more than a few cities or town before resistance forced a larger battle. "Don't keep me from what I'm good at for too long." Burning the Prison, Balin, Kargeld's ship, Balentyne. Eryan was racking up a list. Those will be merely the footnotes when this is over... Seeing the village burning made him smile. The more that suffered the less he did. For now he would wait.
We voted and you're in with a majority vote :) Eryan wasn't as in with the Cardinal as some others but he has pledged as heartily to the cause as any. If you read the backstory in my profile you will see that a big part of what I have been and will continue roleplaying is being possessed slightly. Also Sir Balin who we killed in the first book was the one who had captured my father and killed my mother. They were outcasts and had been forced to flee south and hide or be killed. They were still typical evil drow and thus hunted even by Talinguarde. So when we found Sir Balin and defeated him, Eryan actually healed him to consciousness to ask him if his father was still alive before killing him properly this time. First GM said he was sent to the salt mines and is now dead. But who knows. He might be a hardy drow that could make a reappearance at some point down the line to teach Eryan something. I am planning to have the spirits possessing me lead me towards becoming a Lich and I reckon it would be awesome if Eryan's father helped him in the rituals because he too seeks revenge through his son who will become far more powerful.

Im gonna start hoarding my gold, and perhaps everyone elses when they arent looking as well. Phylacteries are frigging expensive... And i'm not out of my mind. I just have more than one mind inside mine. It gets a bit crowded sometimes.

Go with fractional bab. So if rogue 6 gets a bab, rouge 5 +(any 3/4 bab class) also gets a bab. I'm not the GM but it certainly makes sense. 3/4 bab class with 3/4 bab PRC. I suggest the same for base saves progression.

Level 5 I get another language to use in combat thanks to Tongues curse. Abyssal, Aklo, Aquan, Auran, Celestial, Ignan, or Terran. Was thinking Celestial or Abyssal. If any of you don't have Infernal, now's the chance to grab it. Greater Drow Nobility gives me lots of cool stuff. Which makes me want to create an item. Basically a light proof (thus darkness proof) housing which can opened and shuttered with ease, blocking or releasing the dreaded Deeper Darkness. Levitate at Will and Feather fall yay. Lucky I still had that 1 feather fall left during the battle or I'd be dead. Now I will never run out. Thanks to the discover that Feather Fall is 1 medium target PER LEVEL none of you guys should have to be in danger of falling damage if you're near me and I have an immediate action. Second level spell I'm thinking- Lesser Restoration or Align Weapon or Desecrate... Sanctuary for first? I'm not sure. And I'm heading towards becoming a Lich eventually hopefully.

Flay it. Cut out the heart... Eryan obeyed the whispers that he had come to get used to and finally embrace. During the infiltration and siege of Balentyne it seemed the voices had been quiet. But they had merely been biding their time and with the fall of the once good town they had rejoiced. It had overwhelmed him at first, so painful, but so good. Nothing he had ever felt had been this powerful. He didn't think Thorn could match it. But the cruel spirits did not aid so easily. He had to pay in blood and life. It had started that first night he killed those poor lost souls. How many was it now, he had lost count. The drow was straddling the legs of a body. A human body. A woman. Once the lovely Kaitlyn Mott. It had taken him some difficulty with his injury to catch her. How she had gotten outside of Balentyne during the battle he wasn't sure. He found her unconscious lying in the grass a mile out with horse tracks behind and ahead. She must have fallen off and hit her head, only waking when he approached as if knowing her end was near. Being depleted of all magical energy from the battle he was forced to chase her. With but one good arm she had almost gotten away but climbing over a rocky outcrop had her dress caught and then she was his. The look in her eyes when she remembered that she had seen him before was pure ecstasy for him. "This time you will die, no one is here to save you. Eddarly is dead. Balentyne has fallen and Talinguarde is next." With the bloody chest cut open he held the heart in his palm and cut it in half. Dipping his fingers in the still warm blood to paint it onto his face in unholy patterns he moved without thought. It was not him working now but the possessors. He lay face down over her. Palms touching palms, feet over feet, lips on lips and he felt the warmth being absorbed into his own body from hers. A magic he would not understand for a long time, if ever. He stood up and felt renewed. Around him was the pitch black of night, not a thing could be seen. Not even his own finger held in front of his face. We give you the the power of night over the day. Life always gives itself over to death. This is your path too Eryan. You will be our Lich...

Yea I did not realise. So that would mean in a closed room at night lit all up with torches, deeper darkness screws everone. I need to make me a Deeper Darkness lamp. That can be opened and shut as a move or swift or even free action. Now you see us, now you don't. Bloody genious. I could do that for 40! minutes lol. I just cast it on a pebble and place that in the light proof lantern. ^_^ Have a 60ft. cone of that! In other news I don't have a lot left to do, spose I could heal someone. Up for another CLW Vlad?

Hoping the spots of magical darkness don't screw us up... Eryan calls out in a strange Infernal tongue, "The fires of hell will burn your precious Talinguarde, we are but the harbingers. See what happens when the light leaves you. Darkness!" He casts Deeper Darkness on himself, an area 60ft around him is now dark.
