Sorry, have been away from home since last Saturday. Thanks for GMPCing me! Eleoheim catches his breath as his focused rage is replaced by bone-crushing fatigue. "What was that creature?" he mumbles still holding the sword out in a defensive stance.

Fighting through the paralytic effect of the cloaker, Eleoheim once again slices at the aberration. curved sword + flanking + rage: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12; damage: 1d10 + 5 + 1d6 ⇒ (9) + 5 + (1) = 15 EDIT: Sorry, forgot miss chance: 1d100: 1d100 ⇒ 69

Dashing forward, the masked elf does his best to move around the aberration and use his position to his advantage. Move action around stunned creature; free action to enter rage; Attack + flanking + inspire: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17; Damage: 1d10 + 5 + 1d6 ⇒ (6) + 5 + (4) = 15

Finding no further information, Eleoheim continues asking the villager a question. "Are there other places in town you would recommend we visit? I am unfamiliar with this part of the world, and am interested to know more. Or perhaps there is a prominent villager you think would be good to speak with?"
F Elf Level 2, AC 18/14/14, HP 20, Fort +3, Ref +6, Will +1, CMD 16, Init +4, Perc +6
Eleoheim looks around at his companions. "Anyone here know much about the natural world? It is not my forte." He then turns to the villager. "Perhaps you know of someone in town who is knowledgable about these things? Even someone with just a green thumb might do."
F Elf Level 2, AC 18/14/14, HP 20, Fort +3, Ref +6, Will +1, CMD 16, Init +4, Perc +6
Eleoheim will accompany Jaxal and make sure they are all back by curfew. Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18 While walking around he converses quietly with the other elf in their mothertongue. Elven: So what do you think is this place's secret? It's obvious they are hiding something. Do you think they are all demon worshipers? Or perhaps they are mutants themselves like the gnoll we encountered? Just perhaps not so obviously?
F Elf Level 2, AC 18/14/14, HP 20, Fort +3, Ref +6, Will +1, CMD 16, Init +4, Perc +6
Eleoheim chimes in. "Perhaps one or more of us can talk to the villagers and see if they know more about her, or where she might have gone. I would make a poor choice in this, as most humans tend to not understand me for some reason. By the way, since they don't know we are Pathfinders, what do we tell them? That we were hired to track her down? That would have the benefit of not being a lie."
F Elf Level 2, AC 18/14/14, HP 20, Fort +3, Ref +6, Will +1, CMD 16, Init +4, Perc +6
Eleoheim seems to be unwilling to concede the argument ... if this actually IS an argument. "Who is talking of breaking the law? I was merely asking for a receipt, that is all, but if you say we have to trust you, then so be it. But if we have to trust you, does that also mean that you have to trust us? After all, trust is a two-way road, is it not?"

DM Amazing Red wrote: "I'll make sure you get them back when you leave, trust me. We can handle the gnolls here, that is if they bother us. They usually don't. Everyone is here in town, except Amenira if you count her. I wouldn't doubt that there'd be mutant gnolls and such in the hills but I don't know about that last part." Eleoheim nods. "Trust between long-term friends and traveling companions is good, even hoped for. Trust between strangers is foolish, as they have done nothing to earn such trust. Receipts are better, don't you think?."
F Elf Level 2, AC 18/14/14, HP 20, Fort +3, Ref +6, Will +1, CMD 16, Init +4, Perc +6
Eleoheim nods and starts handing over all of his weapons: his elven curved blade, arrows, longbow, and morningstar. "Do we receive a receipt detailing what we submitted to you? Otherwise how would you know what we gave you? You might hand over my family blade to a friendly-looking dwarf and then I would have to kill him to get it back, and you would be to blame." He then clears his throat. "Receipts are always better than murder where I come from." From behind the mask, it's hard to tell if the elf is being serious of joking.
F Elf Level 2, AC 18/14/14, HP 20, Fort +3, Ref +6, Will +1, CMD 16, Init +4, Perc +6
Eleohim gestures that he has no problem with anyone taking the gear. Not interested in anything else, he climbs the nearest hill or tree to get a better look at what is around them. Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18

Still straightening his clothes, Eleoheim walks over to the corpse of the mutated gnoll. "I've never seen anything like this creature. Does anyone know what caused him to change?" He then picks out 10 arrows, putting them in his quiver and grabs the climber's kit as well.

Eleoheim then walks over to Belinda and pulls out a wand. "Hold very still, this occasionally doesn't go well." The masked elf begins moving the wand around in a seemingly random way, intoning words in elvish in a low voice. He then ends by lightly touching Belinda with the wand near where the hyena bit her. UMD: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11 "Hmm, that didn't work. Did it hurt? Let's try it again." He then proceeds to make the same movements and speak the same words as before, albeit a bit faster. UMD: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18 Eleoheim lets out a short phrase in Elvish. Elvish: He repeats the movements even faster, and his voice rises in pitch and volume.
"Gods damn it." UMD: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7 He lets out a long sigh, visibly trying to calm himself. Suddenly he begins jumping up and down and wildly gesticulating, nearly shouting the command words. UMD: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25 Healing: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 Eleoheim then calms down and pockets the wand, trying to regain some of his lost dignity. "There, was that so bad?"

The masked elf sheathes its sword and stands back up again, stretching momentarily. He then walks over to Jaxal. Elvish: "Battle can never be over too quickly, brother, for battle is by its nature a child of chaos and cannot be predicted, even by the most skilled warrior."

Eleoheim wipes her blade on the ground to remove the creature's blood and gore. He then sits down cross-legged, with the elven blade in his lap and goes into what looks like a meditative trance. One round of rage spent, now fatigued for one round.

The elf's training kicks in as he calls out: "Ambush!" Always walking with his bow in his hand, Eleoheim ducks for cover next to the hillside and fires an arrow at the freakish gnoll. On the ocean and river journey, Eleoheim keeps mostly to himself, occasionally speaking a few words to Thracius and Jaxal. He inquires generally about their backgrounds: where they grew up, who raised them, where they were trained, what the societies they grew up in were like. He seems quite interested in other elven societies. If asked about his own background, Eleoheim volunteers that he was raised on the Mordant Spire and received much training there, but does not say much else. Diplomacy: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12

Eleoheim scratches his neck underneath his mask. "Well, I don't know, Mistress Halfling. I've known quite a few people in my days that being stuck by a sword would be much too good for." The masked elf then turns to Jaxal. "If you're worried about disease, I would recommend antiplague potions. They can be quite useful and are inexpensive."

Eleoheim stands at the back of the room, watching everything behind her mask. As her fellow Pathfinders have asked all the questions she herself had, she waits in silence for the Venture-captain's answer, her hand on the pommel of her blade.
