Male Lizardfolk Oracle of Lore1st
Tired and wounded, Djatrix lets go of Vess and falls down with the dying companion on his lap. The action going on before his eyes, the wild man attacking Palag and the charging Yochtanl, all feel dream-like to him. With an odd calm not even he can understand, Djatrix sighs and places a hand over Vess, mumbling a call for help to the spirits. Cure light wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Round 4: Starled by the damage caused by the creature and the party's inability to defend itself, Djatrix drops his morningstar and runs to grab Vess'Sothek by the arm and drag him as far away from the monster as possible. As he does so, he whispers for the spirits to protect him. If possible, casting Sanctuary on me.

I was giving it some time since casting resistance all around would take a few turns :P Djatrix finishes his casting, then nods at Vess. He pickes up a stone and whispers at it. Casting light. As soon as the stone begins to flow, he approaches the fountain. Djatrix eyes the vesh, looking worried for a time before, without any other word, diving into the fountain and swimming towards the submerged tunnel.
Male Lizardfolk Oracle of Lore1st
Sorry for going MIA Djatrix explains the distance to the crystals, looking worried at the vesh. "I fear you will not be able to swim this far without risking your life." He moves towards the fountain, and stops, looking around. Then he begins to whisper as if talking with someone. One by one he touches each of his companions, beginning with the vesh, and then the lizardfolk. "In case there is danger." Casting resistance on every one.

Actually I'm a bit confused if there was a air pocket or not. I THINK the caves were not completelly flooded, but I'm probably mistaken :P Fate? "I didn't see loose pieces of crystal, but I was not searching for them. Most, if not all, were embibed into the rock." Djatrix sighs and shakes his head. "Everything is still too much unclear. I fear that harming the crystal, even unnintentionally, will bring the fey's wrath upon us. Maybe the tree is holding the crystal's power away, maybe it is feeding on it. The crystal is certainly the source, but if it is inheritedly evil or not, I do not know."

As soon as the party returns, Djatrix heads to a place to seat nearby the others. He ignores the kobolds, not out of rudeness, but for been absent-minded. He listens idly to the others quesion the situation, and the fey in particular, while he examines the hand that has touched the crystal. "I am... worried about this situation," he looks up to his companions. "Not my hand," he quickly explains. "The story of the god's blood and the effect it has in this place. And, especially, the apparent worship of it all by the fey. The best solution may not be what they would accept."
Male Lizardfolk Oracle of Lore1st
Djatrix examines his hand with genuine curiosity, moving his fingers and turning his hand around. Palag's laughter draws his attention. With a frown, he shrugs. "It seems like once again curiosity proves to be my undoing." Memories of the crystal chamber, and the fact that animals tended to stay away from it, come back to Djatrix's mind. Finally he turns to Rsss and the fey. "Seems like we are now bound to help."
Male Lizardfolk Oracle of Lore1st
Djatrix looks absent-mindedly, flexing one of his hands as if it was itching. "I fear I can't yet tell you the best option. The tree does seem to be... embracing the crystals, for good or ill. It would certainly harm it trying to remove the crystals." He turns back to the fey, studing it for a while, before looking back at his companions. "Besides, touching the crystals maybe not be... benefical to our health." Eyebrows furred, headfins high, Djatrix turns to Rsss. "Maybe we should ask the fey how we could best help."

Djatrix studies the scene before replacing his morningstar back on his belt strap, nodding slowly. "There is a natural cavern below, with its own fauna," he says in Draconic. Idly he hubs one of his hands, as if trying to get something out of. "And strange... magical crystals. I believe they are responsible for the conditions of this place." Djatrix climbs out of the fountain, walking towards the group, making sure he does not walk too close to the faery creature, not for fear, but not to seem threatening. "There are ancient inscriptions below as well as the roots of a tree. I believe it is somehow... feeding on with the crystals."
Male Lizardfolk Oracle of Lore1st
Sorry. Things got intense at work :P Djatrix looks curiously at the crystals, touching them cautiously. He looks back the way he came, wondering if he should return to warn the others of what he has found, but curiosity is stronger. Whispering to the spirits to help him see any traces of magic, he continues on down the tunnel. Casting detect magic again. Got to love at will spells.

Round 8: Djatrix approaches the carvings on the walls, wondering if he can recognize the style or any particular elements of the story before moving down the corridor, taking the stone under the effect of light with him. The mystery he seems to have stumble upon draws him like moths to fire.

Sorry for going MIA. I had to spend a week at out office in Buenos Aires and got stuck in neverending meetings and a chronic lack of free time :/ Fate, sorry for the 'thing that dived in' bit. I could swear I read it somewhere, so maybe I'm going inside :P Lets just say Djatrix is seeing things if there is nothing in there. Round 7: Djatrix dives head first into the hole, seeking his glowing stone, intended on examining the hole. He keeps his morningstar ready, in case there is danger nearby, his other hand touching the walls and floor in search of entrances or any hidden recesses. If needed:

Sorry for been MIA. I had a weird weekend :P Djatrix pushes his head out of the water, worried that whatever has tried to make him fall asleep would succeed and he would end up drowning. "There is something here!" He yells out. "It dived into a hole in the fountain!" Djatrix grabs some loose rock, causes it to shine with the help of the spirits, and drops it into the hole. Casting light on the stone, so that it goes into the hole and (hopefuly) give me an idea of what is inside. How large is the hole? Would I be able to go inside?

Djatrix turns his head away from the spraying water, suddenly wondering if the fountain is not just a distraction. Djatrix dives into the central water, so that he stays completelly submerged and outside the effect of the murder of ravens and asks the spirits to help him see magic once again. Maybe it will allow him to see the entity that has been controlling the ravens. hoping the water is deep enough to get rid of entanglement and cast Detect Magic without the need of concentration, but rolling anyway. I was waiting to see if the others before me on init would act first, but, oh well :P Round 2: Djatrix whispers to the spirits (casting guidance) on himself and continues walking towards the fountain (L13), curious a what is in it. All the way, he tries to spot the creature he has seen earlier.

Djatrix turns his attention from the fountain to Rsss'tak. "The water. It has the same magical aura. It may be causing the magic that has seeped into the vegetation and birds." He inclines his head, trying to see the creature that was inside the fountain. "But what has caused the water to flow with such magic?"
Male Lizardfolk Oracle of Lore1st
Djatrix looks intently towards the fountain, trying to see if he can get any of the magic aura out of it or whatever he has spotted in the water. He walks calmly to just besides Rsss'tak, whispering for his spirits to guide his companion. He does not seem particularly interested in hiding his presence, moving forward in genuine curiosity. Walk up to j16 and casts Guidance on Rsss'tak.
Male Lizardfolk Oracle of Lore1st
Djatrix stops, eyeing the aura that seems to surround all living things in this place. He speaks in a low tone, nearly to himself, audible to those nearby. "There is magic in everything. Something... I have never seen." He steps further on, following the others, mindful of the ravens. His grip tightens on the morningstar's handle. "It seems to... transform and protect every..." He stops suddenly as he notices movement on the fountain, his head frills going up, his long neck straightening up.

Djatrix looses his morningstar and walks behind his two kin, watching the plants and the birds with caution. His talons scrap the surface of the wooden shaft nervously. Overhearing the human's comment, Djatrix closes his eyes and whispers to the spirits, asking them to show him magic in this place. Casting detect magic and looking at the surrounding area, walking to approach it if necessary. I intend to approach some of the blue-tinted plants and, if possible, the birds.
