I'm at the hospital, I don't have access to my computer, I will be out for Tuesday if everything goes fine. Sorry for the radio silence.

Male bear storyteller

Is this the right place?

Male bear storyteller

Sorry folks, I've been having some issues at home and with my internet connection, I should be able to post later today.

I am very sadge now.

I'd be glad to partake in a fall from the stone of the plague.

Not working for me, if I do as you say the page just keeps "personalizing" my file over and over, otherwise I get to a blank page with "Access DeniedAccess Denied" written on it

Time to make that Zarta Dralneen's fanboy character that's living rent free in my head since the first time I heard of her.

Male bear storyteller

Ok, I've put the wrong email in the RPG Chronicles form, sorry. I got it.

Male bear storyteller

Where have you sent them?

Apologies in advance if my posting slows down. I just learned yesterday that my martial arts instructor since 2022 passed away suddenly. I'm ok, just a bit drained and in shock.

Could you please link it? I cant find it

Use the OOC syntax [ooc] text here [./ooc], without the dot. Below the chat box is a "How to format your text" spoiler, check that out if you need help :)

I'd be down for that game. Which one is the SVOP server?

Congatulations! Now you can dedicate your life to runnin PFS Quests on this forum, like you dreamt of as a kid!

okay. Not really what I was addressing as this is the PFS forum and I assume you are running under PFS or PFS Campaign Mode(if they even still have it).

2 & 3 are retired, not 1.

besides that - have fun.

Yeah, sorry, misread that. Anyway I'm going to run the scenarios for whomever wants to play, so no issue with different characters, even from one edition to the other.

As for In Service to Lore it was marked as retired on the wiki's list, I've corrected that mistake, thank you.

GM Stargin wrote:
Isn't Owlbear Rodeo meant for this sort of stuff?

I just checked it out and it seems nice, not sure if it works with asynchronous games.

I'm going to run them for PFS1, no conversion.

S0 covers a single year, but at the time there weren't really "seasons" and S1 numbered its scenarios following those from S0 (considered "playtest"). It's more like S0 was a prelude to S1 to see if the whole PFS thing would work.

Intro 1: First Steps—Part I: In Service to Lore isn't playable at all, as it's been retired. I'm going to run The Confirmation for sure though, probably more than once even.

Hi there!

Since I'm starting to GM PFS1 games here on the forums I was wondering if there's a RSP for the Flaxseed Lodge, like the Cottonseed Lodge Regional Support Program 2025 exists for the PFS2 games.

We really do the best we can, and I'm happy it's not going unnoticed!

Believe me if I say it's absolutely not going unnoticed here, I just wish more people in the TTRPG community would do the same.

The only concern I have is about the impact moving all these physical goods has on the environment, but that's not really something you can do much about. Living in Italy I avoid ordering stuff from outside my country to help with transport pollution, so far I've been able to get just a couple of Pathfinder rulebooks through the accounting office of our company.

Barring having access to the spell via a PC or chronicle, the best way is to learn the spell from a friendly NPC at a lodge between chronicles. I forget exactly how that works though. Or maybe I am just dreaming that is an option.

It would make sense that a lodge would be able to grant Pathfinders the use of its library for such things.

Would anyone mind reminding/updating me what the most cost-efficient way is for Wizards/Witches/Alchemists/niche-Vigilantes to learn new spells between adventures? I got some very good advice to that effect a while back, but IIRC it was long enough ago that it's possible something's changed since.

In PFS2 I tried to play a character with a spellbook. Ive failed all the rolls to learn spells, not a single one was above 10. I dont think I'll play that kind of character ever again.

Male bear storyteller

Is there a Regional Support Program for this lodge?

Hi there.

I'm planning to run a series of table to relive the history of the PFS starting from the very beginning. Since during "ye olden days" of Season 0 there weren't really tags I'm trying to understand which of the scenarios which are still legal to run I should bring to the tables.

On this wiki page the only one noted to be part of a greater narrative is Among the Living, and I know that Mists of Mwangi is important too. Someone told me Silent Tide and The Many Fortunes of Grandmaster Torch are relevant too, but if someon could tell me if there are other scenarios I shouldn't miss I'd be very grateful.

Ok, that's good news! I'll set up something soon(TM)

Since we're here could someone please tell me if there's any important scenario from Season 0 I should look at? I know Mists of Mwangi and Among the Living are relevant to future adventures, not sure about the others which are still legal to play.

Male bear storyteller

Hi folks, may I ask how active is the PFS1 community? I'd like to GM some scenarios (the "metaplot" ones, even there was no such tag in ye olden days) to experience the history of the Society first-hand, but I don't know if there would be enough people to play with.

Exactly what I thought. Discord already "enshittified" itself with all that Nitro BS, and as soon as a good alternative becomes viable I'm leaving that ship.

Thank you, I really appreciate the way you people treat your customer. I'm actively trying to push people toward your games instead of "The Big Double Dees", because I love how your company works compared to "that other one". I'm really happy with the support you show us even through little things like this one.

You want to celebrate our planet? Put digital products on sale. This looks like an excuse to get rid of stuff collecting dust in your warehouse.

To give a response that isn't just trying to insult you for no reason: broadly speaking, this is the intent of almost all sales of physical objects. They want to get stuff out so they can hold more new stuff. It isn't wasteful because these books already exist and are printed; they don't do anything if they aren't bought and used, and destroying unsold stock (which I'm 99% sure Paizo doesn't do anyway) would *actually* be a tremendous waste.

I imagine this is mostly being called an Earth Day sale and not an Easter sale just so they could have a sort of theme going on for copy purposes.

Thank you, I really appreciate this kind of response. Probably the naive side of my personality got the best of me yesterday and just felt the urge to vent my disappointment. I see the same things happening where I work (a big LGS with an online store), I should be used to this kind of things.

Is anyone else getting a bad feeling about the upcoming changes to the loyalty program? The way it’s been described so far - lots of vague “coming soon” language and talk of a “better experience” - just screams corpo-speak for we’re cutting benefits, but trying to make it sound like a good thing.

Let’s be honest: when companies say they’re “enhancing” or “evolving” a program to “better serve us,” it usually translates to more restrictions, fewer rewards, or a new tier system that’s harder to climb. They frame it as a win for the customer, but it almost always serves their bottom line, not ours.

Until they drop actual details, there’s no way to know for sure, but the language so far feels like a red flag. If the changes were genuinely beneficial, they probably wouldn’t be so cagey or need to spin it this hard. They'd be shouting them from the rooftops instead of deferring them for a future blog.

Would love to be wrong on this, but right now it feels like we’re being softened up for a downgrade.

I know that feeling, but usually Paizo is a good company, somehow an exception among the big names in the hobby industry.

One way to get around that would be to FINALLY give us "Digital only" or "PDF only" subscriptions! It gets around shipping costs completely and there are a lot of people who don't want or need the physical books anymore. They are your loyal customers, too! I hope, the new Plus system will acknowledge that in some way, since Advantage never did :(

That would be wonderful! I live in Italy, the shipping costs are too high for my finances, but I'd love to subscribe to a "PDF Only" service!

Male bear storyteller

The one with the shortest name should stay, though if for PFS purposes is nor an issue then we're ok.

I think I'll stick with Google for Slides and such, the alternatives aren't quite as good from what I've seen.

Male bear storyteller

Also, may I be added to the Cottonseed Lodge Regional Support Program for 2025 as a GM? Thank you.

That is how they getcha and keep you, they give a new nugget to make sure you don't switch and become an addict, kinda like Microsoft does for companies and governments.

But I'm slowly but surely breaking free from the big fish that tend to be anti-consumer.

If you need cloud storage and I had no issues with, Dropbox is a good one, there is a FREE version (I know cause I use it) with about 2GB of storage space.

You can find an alternative to nearly ANY software on this site.

Operating System wise, all my Laptops run Linux, my desktops are mostly dual-boot systems since I can't run some apps I like in Linux.

Let me thank you, because as of yesterday I started moving to a new environment, out of Google. I've switched to Firefox and proton for most of my needs, so far I'm doing good.

I'm not ditching Windows for now though, since I still need it for most of my software and will probably get a new machine toward the end of the year. Maybe at that point I'll switch to Linux, who knows.

One thing though: what do you use instead of Google Slides? I haven't found a good alternative yet (to give my players access to the tactical map and other stuff).

Is this the right place to ask for Scenarios/Quests/Bounties exchange?

If that's the case I would ask for Scenario 1-00: Origin of the Open Road.

I can offer these right now:

  • 1-02: The Mosquito Witch
  • 1-08: Revolution on the Riverside
  • 3-01: Year of Shattered Sanctuaries
  • 3-02: The East Hill Haunting
  • 3-03: Echoes of Desperation
  • 3-04: The Devil-Wrought Disappearance
  • 3-05: Inheritor's Rite
  • 3-06: Struck by Shadows
  • 3-07: The Locked Lodge
  • 3-08: Foundation's Price
  • 3-09: The Secluded Siege
  • 3-10: Delve the Pallid Depths
  • 3-11: No Time for Treason
  • 3-12: Fury's Toll
  • 3-13: Guardian's Covenant
  • 3-14: The Tomb Between Worlds
  • 3-15: Cavern of the Sundered Song
  • 3-16: Escape from Oppara
  • 3-17: Dreams of a Dustbound Isle
  • 3-18: Dacilane Academy's Delightful Disaster
  • 3-19: Mean Streets of Shadow Absalom
  • 5-14: Poisonous Council
  • 6-13: All That Glitters
  • Q1: The Sandstone Secret
  • The Whitefang Wyrm

If anyone's interested just let me know.

I'm sorry to bother you again @GM Tiger, but it seems you've removed the wrong alias from the campaign (I wasn't very clear in my request, sorry). I'm not sure if that's an issue for PFS purposes, but if you could please resolve this issue I'd be grateful.

Also, do you eat catfish? I never had it.

I'm starting to really hate the fact that I've built my whole digital environment around Google and its products. I'd like to make the switch to Firefox, but Chrome is better integrated with Drive (which for me is essential since my whole RPG library is there) and all the other stuff.
