Dennis cheers when the last one falls. Naturally, the lad mocks him, "Oh! Sorry, did you lose your cap? Ha ha!" After Argoni provides healing, Dennis says, "Gee thanks! You're better at that than me." He feels much better.

When everyone departs, Dennis hugs Zhamie. "Hope to see you again on another exciting Pathfinder adventure. Thanks for the Mishka poppet!" Turning to Oskar, "Oh oh! Can I get a free ticket? To your play? I wanna see it!" And with that, Dennis makes his way back to the Grand Lodge in Absalom.

With these annoying gremlins continuing their tripping and their stomping, Dennis is on the verge of a temper tantrum. He shouts, "Stop. Hurting. My. Friends!" He jabs twice at the Greencap in front of him, and then moves back and waits for him to advance.

Tracker doesn't show Dennis as prone, but his icon was sideways, so I'm assuming he has to stand.

From his prone position on the ground, Dennis stands and puffs out his chest. "You're not even scary. Except for your face!" He laughs.

Still inspired by Oskar to do great things, the youngster runs towards her (with Sudden Charge) going north through the treeline to avoid some ice, before he slips and slides his way closer. Getting just within range, he says, "Take that!, Miss Witch" and stabs.

The youngster really wants to run up and stab her. But first, the gnomes with the funny hats. He stands and pokes at the one next to him.

During the witch's speech when she's using hard-to-understand words like "uncouth" and "folly", Dennis lets his mind wander to the last few days.

When it gets quiet, he says proudly, "I don't know about history. It's boring." He quickly adds, "But I had fun ice-skating. I talked with a wolf." He thinks back. "Who was really big." Smiling and continuing, "And we played games. And danced. And everyone was really nice." He glares at her. "Maybe you can find another place to rule, Miss. But they don't want you there."

Dennis' vote is clearly on the side of the villagers.

Upon meeting the witch, Dennis still can't pronounce her name. "Hi Witch ... Chessie! I'm Dennis. We're Pathfinders! On an important mission to map the area." Seeing her entourage of evil fey, the lad asks, "You have monsters. Are you a mean witch?"

Even though he's a little out of breath from all the leaping about, he claps and cheers loudly for his friend Zhamie, who dances really well. "You were really good! I'm better at just jumping."

Later, when the old woman warns the group not to disappoint her, Dennis proudly says, "I make no guarantees." He quickly adds, "But I promise to try my hardest!"

He thinks for a minute, and asks, "Um ... how do we find Witch Chessie?"

Dennis enjoys being the center of attention.

Seeing that the crowd approves of his leaping ability, the energetic youngster (in full plate and ridiculous heavy log on his back) continues trying to impress them by jumping even higher. "Watch me! Watch me!"

Dennis has a lot of fun playing hockey and playing cards. He's very happy to be on the winning team. When the games are called, he whines, "Awwww ... already? Can we play a little longer? Please? Can we?" He relents when he realizes there's a grand finale.

At the offer of spirits, Dennis shakes his head. "I'm not allowed to drink yet. Not till I'm older." He tries out the log.

Alas, the log is heavier than he thought and does indeed throw off his balance.

When he sees there's a dance, the youngster exclaims excitedly, "How fun! I'm a great dancer!" He's not. He's a terrible dancer. But fortunately he's good at jumping and leaping, so he can fake this kind of dance. He does his best to mimic what the solider did.

Dennis enjoys the meal. And he's proud of himself that he remembers not to talk with his mouth full. At the mention of games, Dennis' attention is surprisingly focused. He excitedly raises his hand and says, "I like hockey! Pick me! Pick me!"

As Oskar the bard handles the manual labor, Dennis cheers up and claps. "Yay! Good job!" When the old man starts telling stories, Dennis moves closer and sits cross-legged on the ground. "I like story time!" The lad retrieves his writing pad to take notes.

Using a green wax pencil, he draws several peas. Then using gold and silver, he draws two crowns to represent the two queens. He includes a smiley face on Anastasia's crown.

Leading the way, Dennis is practically running to see the tree on the house. "Hi Mister! Can me and my friends help?" The lad looks up. "I like climbing!"

Quite bored with the history lesson, Dennis walks outside to stretch his legs. He sees a house with a tree on it. He runs back inside and interrupts, "Hey! Did you guys see the house? The one with the tree. On top of the house." He's giddy with excitement.

Rallying the group, he implores, "Maybe someone there needs our help! We better hurry." The youngster runs off, hoping everyone will follow close behind.

Dennis' eyes gloss over as the strangers use big words like 'sterilization', 'technological', and 'undeniably'. At the mention of experts and scholars, he visibly yawns.

The youngster is thrilled when they finally bring out food and drink. Unfortunately, the tea is too strong and he doesn't care for the cookies. First time for everything! He pretends to eat one ... leaving crumbs everywhere.

It doesn't take long for the lad to grow bored. He cheerily asks the group, "So where to next?" After all this fake-eating, he's forgotten the options.

Dennis springs to action. He thinks aloud, "There's been a lot of wrestling in this mission." He smiles wildly, "I like it!" He tries to hold the patient still.

Dennis is not super thrilled about this being just a clinic. But when he here's a workshop in the back, he perks up. "That sounds more fun." He starts to hurry out.

But when the medic asks about the mapping, Dennis stops and responds, "The Pathfinder Society sent us, Miss. We're on an important mission to chart the area." As proof, he eagerly retrieves his notebook. "Wanna see my maps?" They're colorful drawings of bears and wolves in the woods. And an ice pond. Alas, the lad's attention to detail is not his strong suit.

Dennis leads the way inside. When the Sergeant finally addresses them, the youngster quickly responds, "Hi Miss. I'm Dennis. Yes, we're new. Here to map the area. We met a bear. And a wolf that talks." He looks around and mentions innocently, "This doesn't look like a workshop?"

Young Dennis likes storytime. He's not keen on the details, yet tries to summarize anyway, "So the Baby Gaga witch got put on timeout for being mean? And she wants to come home. Probably to be mean again." He takes notes using his colored wax pencils in his coloring notebook.

He turns to Marta, "It was fun meeting you. Maybe we can play on the ice later." He continues, "But we have important Pathfinder business first."

Addressing the group, Dennis raises his hand excitedly, "Can we check out the Workshop next? Maybe there's fun stuff to play with there. Can we? Please. Can we?" Unless there are objections, he hurries off to lead the way. As before, he has no idea where he's going. But he makes up for it in enthusiasm!

Dennis has never seen a winter wolf, and takes Oskar's word for it.

Instead of addressing the large wolf, Dennis feels more comfortable talking to a fellow youngster. "Hi! I'm Dennis. Is the wolf your friend? I met a bear in the woods. We had fun wrestling. He's my friend now." Turning to the wolf, he adds, "But Teddy, I mean, Mishka, didn't talk like you, Mister Wolf." He continues to the child, "I liked skating on your pond. Maybe we can play on the ice later. Do you like living here?"

I see the map has locations C1 thru C8, but they're not labeled. I suppose it may not really matter...

Dennis looks unsure as Oskar mentions heading to the pub first. Then he grins, "If they let me in, I'll order a beer. A root beer!" He giggles. His humor is no better than his recounting of stories.

The lad runs off to leads the way to the Wolf's Oak. He takes several steps before realizing he has no idea where he's going. That rarely dissuades him. While walking, he calls back to the captain, "Um ... Mister? Which way is it?" When the captain points the opposite direction, Dennis quickly runs ahead to lead the way. Again.

On the walk over, Dennis lets the grownups explain how the Pathfinders are on a mapping expedition. Arriving in town, Dennis wanders over where the children are skating on the ice. He's excited to try it with his snowshoes. He runs up to the edge. "Can I play?"

When he returns to the group, out-of-breath, he pants, "That was fun. I like it here. And I like feasts. Can we stay for the night? Can we? Please."

Dennis responds, "Mishka? Gee, thanks Mister. Teddy, I mean, Mishka, didn't tell me his name." He adds helpfully, "Also, I don't speak 'bear'."

When the captain says the witch's name, Dennis struggles, "Chesja ... Chesi-jaja-lala ...?" He shrugs and says cheerily, "I'll just call her Chessie!" He thinks and says, "Why is she mean to you?"

At the captain's offer to return to their city, Dennis says, "I like food. And shelter." He adds, "And don't worry about the long walk. I have these new snowshoes!" He runs around and skates in circles playfully to demonstrate.

A necklace made him mean. We destroyed it. So he's nice again." He smiles and then sighs, "But then he had to leave." Dennis thinks he's a great story-teller. Like Oskar.

As the talk comes to witches, Dennis chimes in, "I know some witches who are Pathfinders. They're nice. Is your witch mean?"

When Argoni checks in on Dennis after the bear encounter, the boy winces. "It still hurts a little." (He's down 7hp). He gladly accepts healing from Argoni or Zhamie later that evening.

[Present day ...]
Dennis' tummy is rumbling and is looking forward to breakfast when the visitors approach. He stands up to greet them, "Hi Mister. I'm Dennis. You talk kinda funny. I like it." When they mention murder and arson, Dennis proudly says, "Oh no Mister. We just saved a bear! But he ran away." He looks around.

Not sly enough to understand the mushroom-picking comments, he apologizes, "I don't think we have any mushrooms." He quickly adds, "But we can help you look for some."

Dennis is happy as the bear lumbers away, no longer controlled. "Hooray! We saved Teddy!!!"

Then he walks over to Zhamie looking a little confused. "But why were you hurting Teddy? Argoni and Oskar said it was the necklace." Turning back to the fleeing bear, he muses aloud, "I hope he's okay..."

While the group is examining the trinket, Dennis retrieves his healer's tools and tends to his wounds.

[On the bear's turn...]
As the bear starts to stand, Dennis admonishes the beast, "Bad teddy bear! Stay down. We must destroy that mirror." Without his halberd drawn, Dennis decides not to make a feeble punch at the mirror. And he doesn't want to hurt the Teddy. He then cries out, "Owwwiee!" when the bear bites him.

[On PCs turn...]
Once again, Dennis grabs one of the bear's massive legs and tries to trip him.

With the bear hopefully down again, Dennis locates the mirror, quick draws his halberd and strikes twice at the mirror.
If the bear is prone, I'm hoping Dennis can attack the mirror, given he has a reach weapon, and can even augment the reach with a Lunge, if necessary to reach further.
If Lunge is required, ignore second attack below, as actions will be: Interact (draw weapon) and Lunge (to attack mirror w/ 15' reach).

Along the journey, Dennis asks Ogthup "Are we there yet?" almost every hour. Ogthup shows tremendous patience. Understandably, the lad is very excited to see a charging bear.

Was gonna Delay, but just realized the Snowshoes of the Long Trek give us a +5 status bonus to speed.
As the group discusses, Dennis frowns, "Wait! So that mirror is making the bear mean?" Without thinking, the lad charges. He calls back, "I'll knock him down. So we can reach the mirror." His voice trails off as he attempts to trip the massive bear.

Dennis likes the dog sled ride. Turning to Ogthup, the boy asks, "Can I pet the dogs?" He doesn't let the emphatic "no" deter him. He asks again a few minutes later. And a few minutes after that. Eventually, he gets bored and whines, "Are we there yet?"

When Ogthup asks for help at the pass, Dennis confirms, "Break a path through the snow?" He raises his hand excitedly, "Pick me! Pick me!" While everyone's deciding how to help, the lad jumps out with his new snowshoes and tries his best.

Dennis is excited as the venture captain hands out new toys equipment. He excitedly straps on the snowshoes and runs around in the snow. He gleefully shouts, "These are fun!" He half-walks, half-skates in circles while the grownups are sharing information.

Following BakBat to the clothiers, Dennis runs as fast as he can in his new shoes. After purchasing proper clothing, he says to the goblin, "Do you think there's time to build a snowman? I hope so!" He leads the way back, always in a hurry.

Upon hearing a familiar voice, Dennis smiles and runs up to hug Zhamie. "Hooray! It's good to see you. Too bad Mimi couldn't join us on this exciting adventure!"

When VC Bjersig briefs the group, Dennis obediently retrieves his coloring book writing pad and crayons colored wax pencils and takes notes. At the end of the briefing, his writing pad has a picture of Ogthup the goblin.

Alas, the lad is not a strong note-taker. His main takeaway: "I'll try not to get killed, Sir! And I'll protect my friends!"

Nature is at +11.

A human teenage boy, adorned in full plate mail that's a tad too big for him, runs awkwardly to catch up with the group. Slowing him down is a large halberd strapped to his left hip and a longbow strapped to his right. Both weapons are comically dragging on the ground behind him as he approaches.

Breathing heavily, the boy looks to the group with wide-eyed excitement. "Golly, it's great to be going on another Pathfinder mission!" Catching his breath, he quickly says, "I'm Dennis. My daddy says I'll grow into my armor. I'm a real good fighter. I've been practicing with my bow, too!" His bow appears to have never been used.

As he swings around to show it off, his halberd nearly knocks over an elderly gentleman trying to pass. "Oh, sorry mister. You'll be okay." Turning back to the group, he remarks, "Wow! A goblin and two halflings! Fun! On my last mission, I was the shortest one." The 5' tall teenager isn't used to towering over anyone.

Meeting the group, Dennis says, "Smells good, Mister Ari. Can't wait to try it!" And "I like music Mister Oskar. I'll hum your ditty." And "Gee, Mister BakBat, that's neat. I use colored wax pencils for my notes too!" Dennis is happy he's found so many fellow Pathfinders that think like him.

Well, you can always get a Virtuoso Instrument. Just 50gp.

There's also the Persona Mask. Also 50gp, but you don't need 2 hands (like you do for the instrument). Also, at level 9, it can be upgraded to the Greater version which is +2 to those specific Performance checks and gives you a Performance re-roll 1/day.

Dennis is excited when his faction leader, Calisro, along with someone else, brings in the large chest. "Can I see? Can I see?" He pushes his way through to get a good view.

When he sees the lightning rod, he gets excited. When he's told it needs cleansing, he slinks back into the small crowd. He admits, "I didn't get good grades in magic classes at the academy." He sheepishly explains, "I might've played hooky to train in the courtyard ..." He proudly says, "... but I got top marks in PE!"

However, as everyone excitedly gathers around the magic item, Dennis doesn't wanna be left out, "I wanna help! Can I?" He tries to recall one of the few magic books he actually read.

She was adjacent. After what I think was a pretty good Escape roll, Dennis moved south. If the Escape attempt failed, then the GM can return Dennis to be adjacent to purple.
