Hey, I'm very interested in any notes you'd like to share based on your experience running Savage Tide. I bought the Dungeon Magazines from someone about a year ago and I was flipping through them again this week thinking I really should run this adventure. My gaming group is a PF1 group but independent of ruleset I'd be happy to know about any flavor you added (or wish you would have added), how you built up tension before a big reveal or npc personalities you really played up. Cheers!

If I didn't think I'd get fired for doing it, I'd email the PDF out to folks myself. James, thanks for the email I super appreciate it. Don't worry I won't share it around. Thanks to you and all the Paizo staff for what you do. I love you all. Cheers!

Hey Buddies, My schedule has (mostly) opened up this weekend, I live in the Puget Sound area and most importantly have permission from wife and kids to attend for a bit. This is why I want to go:
My questions: First, is it unheard of for me to purchase a one day ticket so late in the process and drop in for fun? Second: Which of the following scenarios would be reasonable: Option 1 - Friday 5/26 - Arrive at noon, leave at 4/5pm
Thanks in advance!

I'll have a cleric of Torm posted tomorrow night. Crunch is mostly done, just need to sort out a back story and fill in some blanks. To sort out the domains for Torm I used the following: FR to Pathfinder deity domains conversion Torm domains:
I must admit, I'm a little excited about the possibility of being back in the Realms.

Very interested, I love the Realms and have been thinking of trying to get something going here. I skipped 4th ed material so I'll have to dig around to catch up on current events. I'll likely put together a cleric (depending on which gods exist in current FR timeline) unless something else piques my interest. If you have any other guidance on character creation (race restrictions, point buy or roll for abilities, etc.) post it here, I'll likely have something fleshed out later this week. As far as gunslinger, I know there have been ideas of firearms in the Realms since 2nd ed. My group always ignored firearms so I don't know if there was a gunslinger parallel class in 3, 3.5 or 4ed rules specific to Forgotten Realms.

My votes, in no particular order: 1. Serpent's Skull
I have a couple of character concepts that I've been thinking of but haven't rolled up or customized for a particular AP. I salute the call-out that alternate traits (and skills & feats too) should help flesh out the story of the character rather than being applied either because it's neat or because it adds a modifier.

I'm interested. I have a bit of free time during daily commutes that could be used for this. I've played in a number of settings since the early 90's and have developed homebrew worlds for campaigns several times over that period. I actually dug out my 2nd edition world builders guide over the holidays thinking I might take another crack at a homebrew world. I didn't get far though because as ablackbear said above I was starting from the wrong side and trying to figure things out on a grand scale too early. I think we should start with a small region and work outward from there.

Greetings fellow gamers, I've recently found myself working for an amazing company at the southern tip of Lake Union in Seattle, WA. I'm hoping to find an existing group or a handful of interested players for a Pathfinder or 3.5e game (ideally set in Golarion or Forgotten Realms but I'm open to whatever). Here's the challenging part... I have a crazy commute from Kitsap County so what I'm hoping for is a weekly short burst play session over lunch with a longer session once per month and/or supplemental pbp activity. I've been playing on and off since the early 90's but very sporadically over the last 10 years. I have served as DM on several occasions and could do so again with patient/understanding players. If you're in the area, let's see if we can make something work. Cheers, Brian

In the beginner box there is a 'choose your own adventure' type of read through. However, playing with others is a much more interesting experience. If you don't have anyone to play with locally, try the play by post boards here at paizo (http://paizo.com/paizo/messageboards/community/campaigns/recruitment). If play by post isn't to your liking you can also try finding others to play via skype or google hangout. Or, ask around at your local gaming/comics/book store to see if there are any regular Pathfinder events that they know of. Playing in person with a group of people is really the best experience from my point of view. Regarding a level 10 character playing a level 1 adventure ... that's not really going to be very much fun because your character will overpower every encounter in the module. |
