Here is the basics for my thief character. Still need to add some background and such, but thought I would get his alias up now!


Davin moves to check the bodies of the priest and her minions. He keeps his eye on the drow...just in case he tries to do anythig...well...drow-ish!


Davin again lines up his shot at the priest as she attempts to call upon her unholy elemental god.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10


Con Save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17

Also seeing the rocks shatter and fly towards him, Davin move away from the area, getting a better line of fire on the priest and fires at her.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Feeling a sudden release of the spell that was slowing him down, Davin moves to a location where he can fire at the priest easily.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Action Surge: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

Shadow Arrow: A creature hit by the arrow takes an extra 2d6 psychic damage, and must succeed on a WIS saving throw (DC 10) or be unable to see anything farther than 5 ft. away until the start of your next turn.

Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 1) = 6


Wisdom Save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8 Arrrgh...lol

Still moving slowly, Davin nocks another arrow to his bow and moves to get the priest back in his line of sight.

As I am slowed I can only do 1 action, right?


Wisdom Save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11

Still feeling his limbs moving like they are encased in lead, Davin is able to only send out 1 arrow but concentrates on it to imbue it with magic and fires it at the priest.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Do I get another roll vs. the slow spell that was cast on us? Does that affect the use of action surge? Just curious...oh and Davin is updated again!


Weird...I just looked and my character has reverted to the previous level...all my stuff has disappeared....will have to update again!

As the spell takes effect, Davin's actions become slower and slower. He nocks his arrow and lets it fly at the priest.

Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9


Silent since the dwarf was taken by the enemy, and now being confronted with a Drow, poor Davin feels like he has walked into some fairy dream. Not since his time in Chult and the rainbow of deadly creatures he met there has he felt so out of place. He holds his tongue and lets the others talk...for now. He keeps his eyes flitting around the tunnel as the group try to enter the cyst.


Davin stays out of the way. He knows very little about interrogation and does not wish to get in the way of others who seem to know what they are doing.

Sorry guys, but with a 0 intimidate he would most likely make a fool out of himself and not help at all!


Davin rapidly fires an arrow into the hulking hook horror.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6


Oh, ok...I will do that then!

Moving a short step within the creatures reach, Davin fires his arrow right at the monster point-blank

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4


Can you still attack if you make a disengage action to move away from an enemy?


With the way clear, Davin has a clear shot at the hooked horror before them.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
crit: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Action Surge
Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6


Davin has hung back, mostly because he is mostly useless in this dark, underground realm. He chuckles and shakes his head at the revel of what Boltmelter was hoping to use his ill-gotten gains for. When they encounter the dwarf troop, Davin moves to have a clear line of sight if things go bad.


Unsure how to respond to the implications of becoming a "mule' to smuggle items out of the city, Davin none the less steps forward.

"If you can help us, then I will agree to carry your packages."


Davin waits until everyone else is through before he follows. He keeps his bow out and ready as the other scramble through the hole...just in case!


Davin stops and lets Shaldinari cast her spell and waits to see what might happen.


Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21

Trying to keep a lookout for any more cultists, Davin also searches for the sign of Mystra's temple.


Growling in frustration, Davin takes careful aim at the armoured foe and let's fly his arrow.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8


Davin takes another shot at the final enemy.

Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8


I only see 1 enemy on the map, but I will take the one that is not in cover.

Taking a quick look, Davin sees one of the enemy in the open, and fires on him.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11


Getting ready to once again try to climb the rope over the wall, Davin sees the door fly open and Cole stick his head out.

"Well...@*^#^ @I*&* and &(@&*(@ thing!" he curses as he abandons the rope and heads to the now open door.


Ok, not a problem..I kinda thought that but just wanted to make sure...do I need a new roll, or did that one just mean it took me 2 rounds to get to the top of the wall...will roll just in case to speed things up!!

Athletics (climb): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Well count me out of this battle...I cannot climb a rope..lol


Not sure if I am at the top of the wall or not...did not have a great climb roll last round, but nothing was said if I made it to the top or not....thanks!


Davin stows his bow and heads to the rope to get to the top of the wall where he can fire down on the enemy.

Taking careful aim, Davin sights the guard and fires his arrow at him.

Keeping his bow at the ready, Davin moves forward trying to remain as stealthy as he can.

Davin is too involved in what Whitebeard is saying and wondering what he is telling Abrel.

Shrugging his shoulders he simply goes back to checking his weapons for any flaws before they leave.


Davin moves forward and calls out to the sentry.

"I am Davin Grey, recently from Chult, but now working as guard to the dwarf Furgis. My group would like to meet with Greybeard. Please open up and let us in...I will swear for all in this group."


Davin attempts to stifle a sudden outburst of laughter.

"HAHA...oops..sorry! I had forgotten about that!"

He claps Bhoors on the shoulder while still chuckling to himself.


Davin nods to Shal and gives her a wry smile as he heads out with the others.

"Reminds me not to ever get on yer bad side girl!", he says as he passes her and the guards.


Davin keeps his bow at the ready, aimed at the area the "guards" are attempting to clear.


Davin looks Abrel over as he speaks of the Lord's Alliance.

"I did not know there was another in our group. It is good to see another in such a good cause!"

The archer then waits to see if they are indeed resting, or continuing onward.

Davin would agree to an hour rest before they attempt to get to Whitebeard


"Well, shall we try for the southern gatehouse, or hole up somewhere and catch our breath before we make a decision?"

The archer never stops scanning the surrounding area for potential threats.


Davin shakes his head.

"Yeah, well we can see, but with the city gone to hell I am not too sure I will be able to pull any strings but let's give it a shot. Who is in charge there? Whitebeard did you say? Don't think I know him....

Davin will follow the dwarf's directions, keeping his bow at the ready.

Is this counting as a short rest??

Davin, once he has fired a few arrows to keep the enemies heads down, surges forward to catch up with the others.

Surge Forward: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Re-roll Inspiration: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23

Well that sucks...hope I can use inspiration like this...


Pursuit (CON) save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23


Hanging Back from the group, Davin harries the cultists by firing arrows in their direction to force them to slow down and be more cautious as they round corners.

1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22


Davin rushes forward with the others, attempting to bypass the slippery walkway.

Dex: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

Con Save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11


Amazing idea to fake them out with the illusion Shal...I vote for a point of inspiration for her quick thinking and ruse!

Davin hangs back a bit to fire on the enemy before sprinting ahead, to repeat the process over again.

It that possible to get an attack then dash?


Davin acts as rear guard as the others hassle the dwarf out of the ship and away from the threat of enemies.

Davin slips his bow over his shoulder and bounds into the ruined cabin. He attempts to grab the dwarf and haul him to safety.

If the dwarf does not need help, then Davin will give a potion to El and help the druid up and out of the ship


Davin moves to the trapdoor and jumps down, bow at the ready.

Seeing his friends down and the enemy attempting to break into the dwarf's room, he fires at the closest one.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5


Davin will try to strike the knight before he can blow his conch, if possible.

Seeing the knight almost down, Davin gets ready to join the others on the lower deck but suddenly turns as he sees the enemy draw out a conch horn. He fires in an attempt to stop the enemy from calling in reinforcements.

Davin fires again at the knight. This time his arrow seems to be wreathed in a nebulous shadow that makes it hard to even see where the weapon is.
