You might want to look up the definitions of threat as well as smear campaign.

Smear campaign may be a bit stronger than my intention relayed but I will totally protect myself and my customers from any game producer that seems unseemly. At least with Hasbro I know their goal is money. Again threats imply no action where as a warning says I will do this as much as I don't want to.

Veering into threats isn't the way to go about this, especially since Paizo is trying to work something out with Archon and can't really talk beyond what they've given us so far without violating NDAs and blowing up current legal discussions as has been explained.

Not a threat.....28000+ is enough that im looking at the possible reality that ive been wrong about the "great" folks running Paizo. Also Threats seek instant gratification. Warnings maintain a bigger picture. I believe there exists a bigger picture in this case.

I'm disgusted. At this point i'm holding my breath hopping i'm wrong about paizo, I've always (for the last ten years anyway-that's close to always isn't it lol) preached up how awesome paizo was to my friends/family/customers, well im telling a different story now. My business partner (who doesn't really care what system we use/promote as he is new to roleplaying) said. "Its simple, if we want to cost Paizo the 400$ they cost us we simply stop pushing their products and advise all our customers why they aren't all they were cracked up to be. You've been playing dnd for almost 40 years Dave, your customers trust your judgement. They will listen and paizo will be out the 400 and then some in no time."

I don't want to do this, I just want some form of formal apology and some acknowledgement that Eric was wrong in backing them and advising us to do the same. If I don't hear from one of the big wigs (sorry sara I know you are doing your best but again I say you aren't the one that made the assurances) we will be implementing our Paizo smear campaign, then there will be no more paizo stuff ever put into my store and every smiling face WILL hear how they screw over their loyal customers.

Again not what I want, but my partner is just as upset and doesn't have near the love of Pathfinder that I have.

Yes, I'm sorry, I let my emotions get the better of me sometimes. As a young store in a remote area our customers, outside a select few are fairly far between. As so we have to watch what we spend our money on very closely. For the last 10 years (which predates my games store by 8 years or so) I've religiously supported paizo, to me this was the dnd company I had been waiting years for (a company of gamers making games for gamers was often my pitch). So yes when they first launched Starfinder I hopped on board, and pitched it to my customers with fervor. Even going so far as to borrow the money for the Kickstarter, now I'm basically being told to sit calmly and see what happens, well my patience is wearing thin. Where is the guy who told me to trust them, nothing against you sara but you aren't the one who staked Paizos company name on these (ill say it) thieves now I would like to hear from that guy and what he thinks of ND now. Granted it wont solve any of the issues, I'm still gonna be out money I cant spare but an apology from the man who is responsible would be nice.

Again, most of us knew that ninja division was untrustworthy, it was because of Eric Mona's direct message to us that we could trust ND, that we climbed on board. Its his fault me (and my players) are out near 500$. When HE addresses this I will cease and desist with the accusations and blame. Until then me and my store will not be messing with any paizo merch. Thanks to sara for tyring to placate us but its not actually anything more than "calm down we are on it".....do you know what happens when I tell my wife that, yea I think you do.

There needs to be an official statement from Paizo regarding this issue. Occasional comments in this thread, while better then nothing, aren't enough. If Ninja Division won't communicate, then Paizo needs to step up and do so. Whether Paizo recognizes it or not, they put their reputation on the line when signing with Ninja Division.

Personally I've stopped all Starfinder spending. I'll be completely done with Paizo until the Starfinder KS is resolved in a satisfactory way.

A huge thank you, and a quiet shameful im sorry. I did miss glenn's post until pointed at by Rysky (thanks for that). I love Paizo-as a small business owner who struggles to keep a game store open far from civilation the loss of the money is a pretty big deal but more importantly representation by the company ive backed with blood, sweat, and tears (literally) means the most. I know Paizo may have been duped by the amazing early skulps the same as the rest of us, I just want to know they are still in our corner (as they have always been). Again sorry GM Dave

I'm with Briit, I did research on ND and would never have backed one of their projects except that paizo ensured all was well. Now I'm out over 400$ in minis not to mention the books I've bought. I'm also a store owner who typically pushes paizo products, im telling you now that has stoped. I will no longer buy, sell, or play their games. I'm irate with anger at a company I previously adored, gamers making games for gamers my ass. And no communication on top of everything else. I haven't stepped up to DND 5e yet because I felt pathfinder was as near to perfect as I'd get, guess its back to the Forgotten Realms for this long time GM. Peace out paizo.
