There certainly is a larger issue that we are not privy to in this family. I would certainly hope that this was building for awhile, because while still not good it would at least be understandable. Again, having worked with these very types of families it is possible that he is just overly controlling and that is why the good RTCs do therapy for the parents and as families as well as working with the girls as well. As for what she did prior, considering the histories of some of the students I worked with I shudder to think of the possibilities.

Edit: If she is just doing this to impress her Facebook friends, perhaps taking her laptop and ground her from FB for a year would have been a better punishment.

Having taught at a school that dealt with girls like the father describes, I will concede that sometimes you have to use drastic measures. This is more extreme than I would like, but perhaps he should look into a residential treatment program for his daughter. One the specializes in blended families would be ideal because issues involving divorce and remarriage can lead to extreme emotional problems.

In the words of the show "Good Luck Charlie" that's a whole lot of peep and not a lot of Little Bo.

Also either a panda or Koala based playable race, so I can finish stating up the cast of Ni-Hao Kai-Lan as Pathfinder characters.

  • Lawful, Neutral, and Chaotic Planetouched races
  • Lawful and Chaotic dragons
  • A draconic race
  • A platypus
  • low-level constructs
  • A leonid centaur (aka a wemic)
  • More devils

Clearly the force is weak with this one. I can't believe that did not come up when I did my search.

A project like a bestiary takes a lot of time and with Bestiary 3 done it is likely that the fine folks at Paizo are setting their sights on Bestiary 4, if such a project is planned. So now is our chance to make our voices heard and let them know what we would like to see. I don't know if it will influence anything one way or another, but it might help get the juices flowing. Here is my list:

Lawful, Neutral, and Chaotic Planetouched races
  • Lawful and Chaotic dragons
  • A draconic race
  • A platypus
  • low-level constructs
  • A leonid centaur (aka a wemic)

I have actually heard from a couple of different sources that the second movie will actually be an "in-between" story that bridges the gap between The Hobbit and LOTR. Nothing official, but a lot of the movie mags are reporting this.

I can't articulate why, but my money is on Malack.

What is the environment for catfolk? I am wondering if I can use them as stand ins for the Proud AND the terali in the Scarred Lands.

Modding is a big part of the fun for me. However, I also spend a lot of time on the Sims wikis looking for Sims 3 families to recreate and add to my neighborhoods so it is kind of a toss up.

Only an update of the Contract Devil (CR 10).

That makes me sad, but the spinosaurus more than makes up for it.

Dark Archive

Okay, I have been playing the Sims 2 for a while now and I am considering upgrading my Sims experience, however I am not sure if I should move up to Sims 3 or Sims Medieval. So I am looking for advice, which one should I move up to?

I loved Cover Girl and I would have loved to see her driving the Wolverine in this film. However I'm pretty sure Zartan gutted her in the first movie.

What types and Cr devils did we get? My new campaign involves a group of militant Asmodeus worshipers that are conquering a number of different lands and I need to plan accordingling.

If you want to aim big, you could always shoot for Gonzaga here in Spokane. Your LSAT is on the low side for them, but your GPA and other factors could swing it for you.

Funny thing is that I am actually attending the University of Idaho which is about 90 minutes south of Spokane. I have driven past Gonzaga many times since I try to get to Spokane at least once a month. Although I am not interested in transferring (unless it is to a school closer to my family) Spokane is on my list of top 10 places I would like to live and practice in.

Do you have some interesting courses lined up, or are you taking the black letter second year approach (which is what I did)?

Mostly just black letter classes; professional responsibility, sales, and property security. However I am also taking elder law and tribal law and administration which are going to be pretty interesting. The tribal law class has no text book, so I will have to take extra good notes in that class.

Sweet! It looks like Jinx and Kamakura are joining the team.

(still think that would make for an awesome design for a darkness-themed azata though!)

From what I have read, which is admittedly not much, psycopomps are usually either animals or unique beings. If this is that trail that Paizo takes then eith the label "shadow race" is either intentionally misleading or indicates that it is not a psychopomp. Now a psychopomp heritage planetouched race would be awesome and there are modern stories of psychopomps falling in love with mortals. My favorites are the movies Death Takes A Holiday and Meet Joe Black.

David,

Psychopomp in Pathfinder also refers to a neutral set of Outsiders who serve Pharasma. All of them wear masks of some kind. So far, four have been detailed in Pathfinder 47: Ashes at dawn and PAthfinder 48: Shadows of Gallowspire.

Like I said, I have just read a bit about the mythology of them. I did not know that they were used differently in the APs.

Icyshadow wrote:
Why did that shadow being remind me of the Shadar-Kai in their 3.5e incarnation?

I made a homebrew race called the Svartalfar that was inspired by the Shadar-Kai and was published in Wayfinder #2. I would love to have had them make it into Bestiary 3, although I am not holding my breath.

Also, there is a shadow PC race, the fetchling in B2. It's probably my favorite Pathfinder created race so far. Simple but elegant mechanics that actually improve with leveling. The way all PF races should be. Can't wait to see more on them in Advanced Races.

While the fetchling is certainly creepy and nice mechanically, I am looking for something more from a shadow race. The shadow girl seems to at least be wrapped in shadow stuff, if not actually made of it. That is more what I want; I want something that is tied to the Plane of Shadow heart and soul, but is still playable at 1st level.

Edit: I know what I want it to be, but that seems unlikely.

Personally I have wanted to see a television sequel of Independence Day for a long time. Earth's first intersteller vessel, built from technology scavenged after an alien invasion sets out find out what is beyond our solar system and make sure we don't get ambushed again.

Yep, he just had a new album come out and he was poised to start performing again and start an acting career. He was taken at the prime of his life.

That, my friend, is a grave knight.

Aww ._.

Will we ever get a Death Knight? Has there been any official word on it?

Death Knight is Wizards's IP. Hence graveknight fills the role instead.

Is it too much to hope for a 49ers/Steelers Super Bowl this year? Yeah, I know the Ravens have beaten the Steelers twice this season, but in a year when the Lions have a winning season and the Bengals are #1 in their division, anything is possible.

I actually liked the elephants and the way that they can't remember anything. It is a nice play on the idea that elephants never forget.

Dark Archive

I finally picked up my batch of #2s and I have to say that I have been pleased with some and not so pleased with others. I actually was pleasantly surprised by Red Hood and the Outlaws and Grifter, both are on my list to keep getting. Voodoo is off my list as of this issue. Supergirl was pretty good and I am still making up my mind about Teen Titans. Nightwing is now a must read for me. I missed Blackhawk #1, and after reading #2 I am sad that I did. The rest I am still mulling over, I am going to have to make some cuts soon and I need to decide which to keep and which to let go.

Okay so I have pre-ordered my copy from Amazon (it was the only way to talk my wife into it) but Amazon says it will not ship until January 21st. I know you guys have no control over when Amazon ships but I sure hope it is sooner than that since I am moving on January 6th and I would hate to have to wait even longer for it.

Did they say free to play? Although I am not a big fan of on-line games I will at least give it a try.

Dark Archive

So I just got back from taking my kids to the dentist and I have to say this new guy must be the most awesome dentist ever. He specializes in treating children so he has toys and XBox and movies for the kids. For the dads he has video games! Not like Playstation and stuff, but old school cabinet games like Pac Man, Donkey Kong, 1942, and my personal favorite, Dig Dug! This is the first time I have ever thought going to the dentist rocks!
