@DRA I wasn't really thinking about Myself/Kyras1/Oshigawars but wow o-o I do suppose I was wrong xD as for not being far in the IC thread, unfortunately I have not yet begun the momentous task of brushing up on what I have missed xD

@Psionic How about "The Honey Badger" :P? hehe, I'm not particularly good with nicknames but if something cool comes to me I'll post it up and see if you like it unless you manage to find something beforehand.

Male Half-Human, Half-Erinyes Burglar Lv4, Skirmisher Lv2

@DRA Ah ok, fair enough. While reading it didn't seem like many others had to drop since my departure so I wasn't sure if I'd get a spot. I suppose I'll just have to stick to reading then xD!

@PsionicFox You could always go with "The Hunter/Huntress)" considering you mentioned that the concept your basing this off of is a pro monster hunter.

Male Half-Human, Half-Erinyes Burglar Lv4, Skirmisher Lv2

o-o Hellloooo everybody, it's been quite a long time since I've really been on these boards. Does anybody remember me ^_^? I've been reading through the OOC board to get a general gist of what you've all been up to since I left and... wow o-o sound's like the game has only gotten more and more awesome. I was wondering (if there is space) if you might be interested in having me back ^_^

For DRA:
Hey DRA, I think I'm gonna have to drop out. For a bit now I've felt like I've lots my 'spark' for PbP and RPing(probably due to overextending myself with a bunch of stuff on here and IRL) and I don't want to cause any holdup with my slowness as your likely going to want to bring us all together soon and I'd probably start to actually slow others down if you had to wait on me. Feel free to keep Daveth around to use for your own purposes(though I'd prefer if you intend to keep him around that he not join the evil people but *shrug* that's up to you since I wouldn't be playing him) since you've already had him(or at least his human family) mentioned with Kyras.

Male Half-Human, Half-Erinyes Burglar Lv4, Skirmisher Lv2

I'm not probably going to be able to post today >.< just wanted to let you know.

Male Half-Human, Half-Erinyes Burglar Lv4, Skirmisher Lv2

Daveth raises an eyebrow as he listens in on the men, apparently the camp Ghar wanted him to scout out was only a decoy, with a bit of a frown Daveth decides to trail after the guys as quietly as possible to find out where they were headed the possibility that the pendant Ghar wanted him to collect might not be at a decoy camp was a possibility and perhaps wherever these men were headed might be an encampment that Ghar didn't know about. He also filed away the names that they had mentioned as something he might look into later.

Survival(Tracking) 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25
Stealth 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (1) + 14 = 15
-_- wow... just wow... that's twice in a row I get a 1 for my stealth xD

So, at 9th level, the monk's single attack bonus is worse than his first two flurry attacks? How does this work? What if he wants to see if his first attack hits before he decides whether to make a full attack?

This really doesn't make logical sense to me.

Well a monk would have to decide to flurry before attacking. It's like two weapon fighting. You can't make an attack with your main hand and hold off on a decision to strike with your off hand. The main hand suffers a penalty on the first attack, so you decide before you make it.

Treat it like that. They declare a flurry. Then you know the bonuses.

So a 9th-level monk can declare a flurry, make the first attack, then decide not to flurry after all, and do some other (move) action.

So, essentially, they do get flurry BAB on a single attack. Unless they move first.

Still doesn't make sense to me.

I'm fairly certain it does not work this way, since you've declared your flurry(a full round action) even if you only make that one attack your still using a full round action to do so and thus you cannot move(except with a 5 Foot Step I believe)

I can roleplay that! Finding and talking to one of the first psionics in the world. If you want to be 3.5 psionics while I am Pathfinder psionics, I can roleplay that too. I'm just looking to try out Pathfinder psionics in an actual game.

I actually really wanted to try the Psionics Unleashed Wilder as well I've had the book for quite some time and It's annoying that i've yet to get a chance to use it XD

Hrm this might actually be a bit of a problem for myself as well as I'd intended Ashiri to be a Wilder. If you want I could switch over to Barret.

Oh wow I didn't realize I'd been selected xD! Woohoo I'll get to work.

Question. Could i me a Gunslinger/Magus? I'm pretty sure that while Magus is a 'caster' it might not be caster enough for this to work but I just want to check and see anyway.

Male Half-Human, Half-Erinyes Burglar Lv4, Skirmisher Lv2

Quick question DRA, has Daveth ever heard of Stonegard or Erodel? I'm not sure if Kyras ever introduced himself while Daveth was around(or if he did if he gave his last name)

Hey, would it be alright if I didn't play a student? I don't know how good I am at playing kids, and while my childlike goblin seems to have worked out, I'm worried about messing up.

My idea is a custodian or gamekeeper. A kobold or dwarf (I'm leaning towards kobold), who specializes in the creation and usage of crossbows. He's very good at these two arts. In fact, he's able to enchant his creations, despite having no ability with magic. He has no idea he's doing this.

If this won't work, my alternative is a snide, teacher's pet-style kobold with a talent for illusions. Just because I think kobolds do snide well. :P

If you go with the custodian idea you totally need to have him have a legion of those disney brooms that sweep up on there own and to chores xD

As Daveth awoke he kept his eyes closed for a few moments, sometimes he just HATED how much he enjoyed those sorts of dreams this hadn't been the first time he'd had that sort of dream though he had to say this was one of the most vivid. Part of him hated the dreams, he assumed they were born from his devil blood but as well he knew that he couldn't blame his enjoyment wholly on that he DID enjoy fighting and destroying though usually he channeled that towards his enemies but more than once he'd been tempted to just ignore what his father had taught him and try joining his mother, but part of him knew no matter what his dreams said he was unlikely to be accepted by them so easily and likely for the same reasons he was shunned by other people, he was a half-breed and while it would be difficult to get the trust needed to be accepted by 'mortal' races they tended to be far easier to escape and significantly less powerful in a general sense.

Lifting himself up Daveth noticed his error in sleeping area judgment and with a groan of frustration he did his best to clean off his bag before heading off to find a pond or something to clean himself and his bag off in better. "Hopefully this isn't a sign of how well my day is going to be." Daveth says to himself with a sigh.

Yeah, this could work. Definitely an interesting concept.

Which one the Incorporeal one, the Ooze or both?

I'm fairly certain Daveths rather out of the loop in regards to things being interconnected since he isn't aware of what's going on else where xD He's a bit interested in the fact that the same samurai he met earlier happened to also be fleeing from possibly the same area he is to be scouting though.

Diskordant wrote:

I would like to submit Death Harvester Lluren, the Undying.

N Human(maybe a retooled dhympire) Mobile Fighter(or maybe barbarian, rogue, ranger, I'm not to attached to a class)

Basic concept revolves around playing Death as a character. I'm not too familiar with the pathfinder pantheon so I don't know if there is an actual Death inspired creature or god, this would work better if there isn't one.

Appearance and personality: Lluren is tall and very lean, nearly to the point of being scrawny. His complexion is a sickly pale white with deep set dark brown almost black eyes. His face is gaunt like skin pulled tight over his skull. He is shaved clean of all hair. Llurens entire body is a study in human anatamony as he has every bone tattooed out on his flesh, which he learned the bones of the body from. The few people who actually know Lluren know that he is a very kind-hearted but deeply disturbed man. Those who don't know him find him stoic and unfriendly at best, a crazed husk of a man who lusts to murder the sick and the poor at worst. Slow to anger and action Lluren is like a boulder atop a mountain, once pushed too hard nothing will calm the destruction he leaves in his wake.

Background: Lluren is obsessed with death. This is mainly due to dying once himself. At the time he was a young normal sane farmer working on his family's farm. One morning Lluren left to work the fields early because he had some errand to attend to in town, what that errand was Lluren no longer remembers. That was when the orcs came. They killed him right there in the fields, Lluren didn't even put up a fight, when he saw the orcs he fled as fast as he could but was overtaken by the Orc hoards that descended on his farm and the town nearby.

As Lluren's soul floated in the ether he heard the words "it is not your time, there is much that you must do" With that Lluren awoke, barely able to stand he managed to get to his farm house, the place he grew up that was a half burned out husk of a building. There was no sign of his...

With the healing skills you mentioned a Cleric of Pharasma(the goddess of death) might be a good fit.

Question, if I were to go say Sorceress/Gunslinger or Alchemist/Gunslinger(since I doubt Magus would be an allowed as my spellcasting class no matter how much it fits with my plans xD) would I be allowed access to the Advanced Firearms?

Assuming I find nobody of interest amongst the merchant caravans then yeah Daveth's gonna find somewhere safe and secluded and get some rest.

I'm actually a bit interested in this since it sounds like it could end up being hilariously fun, a bit more information(world wise) would be nice though. As well I have no clue what those 3.5 Unearthed arcana variants are, should I? Another question if item creation feats are banned then how will we be stacking powers into the bonded object? Do we simply pay full price whenever we would normally wish to upgrade the object or will it simply be made as powerful as it ever will be at character creation? Also just to make sure is the Changeling race(from Haunting of Harrowstone) allowed? I think I can come up with a fairly good concept with a Changeling and it would be pretty cool if at some point her mother came looking to collect her xD

Also since you said Paizo-Only things what about Playtest classes such as the Magus/Gunslinger/Ninja/Samurai?

Male Half-Human, Half-Erinyes Burglar Lv4, Skirmisher Lv2

lol I have a baaaaaad feeling about that question. But yeah he does, he's a Native Outsider so he sleeps/breaths/eats just like everyone else.

Daveth raises an eyebrow at the number of merchant caravans, if these black dragonflight people really were surrounding the city there was a decent chance that they were the cause of this, either through causing problems for those trying to enter the village or perhaps even a few of the caravans might be where they were hiding as aside from the archers(assuming they were black dragonflight people) he'd not yet run into any of them. might as well check this out, perhaps they passed through where I need to scout. Daveth thinks to himself as he swoops in low(presumable into a treeline if possible) and begins quietly moving around where the caravans are located trying to find any conversations in the general area that he can listen in on.

Male Half-Human, Half-Erinyes Burglar Lv4, Skirmisher Lv2

Daveth's jaw clenches as he notices the two make a break for it as while he's glad that he managed to aid in the escape the fact that he was being abandoned to the archers pissed him off a bit. With a roll of the eyes Daveth turns sharply and begins to ascend as he begins taking flight back onto his original path as while ripping the archers apart would be a good way to let off a bit of steam getting this whole mission done was far more important to him. As he flies Daveth occasionally looks back just to make sure none of the archers are foolish to try attacking or following him.

Male Half-Human, Half-Erinyes Burglar Lv4, Skirmisher Lv2

I seem to be having an issue with viewing the map as I only see myself Azami Yohei and the trees with what I presume to be the archers being really large broken image squares.

Daveth groans to himself a bit as he spots Azami, he'd really hoped to not run into a distraction THIS early into his mission and it was probably because of those hopes that he was faced with one such distraction that he felt compelled no to ignore. With a sigh Daveth mentally marks off where he will land and as he begins flying in that general direction he draws his bow takes aim at the man behind Azami and takes a shot. After that Daveth returns his focus onto dropping in on the other archer.

My attack was on the guy who is in the general 09 - Q11 area

Fly: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (9) + 13 = 22
Attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (12) + 12 = 24
Damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
if Sneak Attack applies 2d6 ⇒ (5, 5) = 10

Male Half-Human, Half-Erinyes Burglar Lv4, Skirmisher Lv2

Hey DRA a quick question, how close are the archers to one another as I'm hoping to either A) use a stealthy Shot on the Run to nail one of them and swoop in on another OR if they are all bunched up together sneak up on the lot of them(assuming they are focused on Azami and not aware of me) and introduce them to Daveths good friend slashy scratchy and chomp :P

Male Half-Human, Half-Erinyes Burglar Lv4, Skirmisher Lv2

Fly 11d20 + 13 ⇒ (11) + 13 = 24
Fly 21d20 + 13 ⇒ (8) + 13 = 21

"Alright then I'll get it done as fast as I can." Daveth says giving Ghar a nod before heading off towards the closest exit out of the city so that he can see for himself just how much of a presence this Black Dragonflight has outside of the city.

Male Half-Human, Half-Erinyes Burglar Lv4, Skirmisher Lv2

Daveth smirks a bit at Ghar's response, and while it was not exactly what he'd wanted the man man an excellent point with this 'black dragonflight' after him on some level being away from the ciry for a bit would probably be for the best, as well as he needed to get past there blockade he could mark down where he could easily move in and out of the city just in case things really god bad. "Fine then, I'll take the job." Daveth said with a nod as he grabbed the sac of gold putting it into his own bag as he stands up "Anything else about this job that you feel like sharing? You said I'm 'hot property' so who exactly is after me aside from you."

All fine with me.

The main people he's interacted with so far are:
Xun Roi Bao (NPC): owner of a cartage company that gave him information about where the fox spirit Vu could be found. Vu was his sister's assistant, and Xun helped his sister move shortly before she disappeared.
Lu (NPC): manservant/assistant of Xun. Dumb and lame. Led Kyras to Vu's tenement.
Random Erinyes (NPC): Tested his abilities by having hired thugs attack him, intimated he was some kind of royalty or elite.
Azami Ito (PC): member of the Palace guard, confiscated his invite to tomorrow night's palace dinner.

He met Daveth too, albeit briefly.

OOC: Sorry about poofing away I've been feeling incredibly blah recently, I even had to miss one of my IRL game sessions D: Thankfully I seem to be back at 100% now ^_^

"They have the city entirely surrounded? How am I just now finding this out, wouldn't this be a bit of major news? Are they preventing all traffic in and out of the city or is that something I'll just have to find out by myself." Daveth asks with a bit of a smirk, the mission while difficult sounding was right up his ally, it was hard enough to pose a real challenge, had a major element of danger to it and in theory would allow him to sharpen all of his skills through it's duration. "Also before I actually accept anything I'd like some way of knowing your legit, you seem to know a lot a bout me which either means this place is far better at information gathering than I thought OR you might trying to use me against this place."

Taking a swipe at Garinol as he flees Daveth lets out an annoyed groan as he takes off to pursue the other man.
landing in R-15

Male Half-Human, Half-Erinyes Burglar Lv4, Skirmisher Lv2

Daveth groans a bit as he hears the sound of a door being slammed open, even as he turns to see it he already knows where the sound is coming from and his eyes only confirm it as he sees Lan Piu and Fumiko. Rubing his forehead a bit as Lan yells Daveth prepares himself to try and salvage this however he is saved the effort by a newcomer. Raising an eyebrow at the man as he walks over and drops his bag on the table(which Daveth quickly snatches up and puts on. As he catches Fumiko's look his gives her a look of 'thanks for trying' before turning back to the new man.

Daveth is put a bit on edge as the man offers him effectively most of what he's wanted for quite some time, however he does his best to keep his cool as all he really knows about the man is the name he he gave. The fact that this was coming on the same day that he was attacked by creatures claiming to work for his mother helped in keeping him from immediately jumping at the possibility. "Sometimes its better not to look like the toughest guy in the room, draws lot less attention." Daveth says with a bit of a grin. "Now what might this job entail and how might I ask do you know of my talents?" Daveth asks, wondering exactly how much this man knows about him.

OOC: lol i had a feeling things wouldn't go so well for poor Fumiko xD

Male Half-Human, Half-Erinyes Burglar Lv4, Skirmisher Lv2

Daveth lets out a sigh of relief as Fumiko takes off back into the inn he then makes his way over to one of the shops keep ing a sharp lookout for anyone in armor from before. With my luck they'll attack right when Fumiko brings me the damn bag Daveth thinks to himself he then(if the nearest place was a tea shop or diner of some sort) takes a seat at an empty table or (if it was now) leas up against a wall awaiting Fumiko's arrival.

Perception too keep a lookout for any of the Black dDragonflight members and just general people I wont want near me.

"Where have you been, anyway?"

"Its nice to see you too Fumiko." Daveth says with a smirk before sighing a bit, he'd sort of expected Lan Piu to be annoyed with him but this could serve to be a bit of an issue. "I ran into a bit of trouble with a couple of people a bit ago and it couldn't really be helped apparently they were here to see the emperor or something and now I need to go to the palace because some samurai wants me to file a complaint with them. "If you don't think it's a good idea for me to head in right now do you think you could do me a favor and go get my bag for me Fumiko?" Daveth asks disliking the fact that this breaks his 'nobody in my room but me' rule.

OOC: Not sure if I should make a bluff since while it isn't the whole truth he hasn't technically lied yet. Also that rule of his is probably something most people that work at the inn know.

If possible could I meet with you at the front entrance? I've not been inside so even if I could get in I'd just be wandering around rather aimlessly" Daveth says to Azami as he begins looking around for the fastest way to get to Lan Piu's place, not only did he need to get his bag but he'd probably have to deal with Lan Piu being a bit pissed that he was rather late. Surely though he'd understand that he'd been attacked by a devil and a troll AND some hobgoblins... yeah sure technically he'd been following her and one could say it was his own fault but Lan Piu didn't technically NEED to know that part.

Daveth takes on a contemplative look at Azami's words. This could work.. With her bringing me there I cant get thrown out for just being there and I might be able to get a bit of information on what's going on and if my mother really is apart of this black dragon-flight or not. With an annoyed sigh Daveth begins thinking over how best to go about this, with them all being guests at the palace it would be incredibly foolish so go in there do do anything, even simply going to try and get a bit more information on what connection his mother had to this 'black dragon flight' would be incredibly difficult as evidently this group is fairly sizable.

Bluff: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18

DC18 Sense Motive:
Daveth is pretty obviously not being completely truthful about his motives for seeking out the Fury/Yokai/Erinyes though it is true that at least partially he is seeking her out because of the fight.

Male Half-Human, Half-Erinyes Burglar Lv4, Skirmisher Lv2

@DRA Not quite yet, originally he was starting to make his way away from Azami and Kyras but after Azami's post he's going to linger a bit.

Daveth blinked a few times as what Azami said began to register with him, the Erinyes came with black dragons? Well.. that would definitely pose a problem he was rather confident that he could take out at least one Erinyes if he managed to get the drop on her and originally he'd just been planning to watch the group that had gone the the palace and wait until he found the Erinyes who he'd 'fought' but now that plan was beginning to look like a rather poor endeavor if it turned out that there was any sort of black dragon at the palace and from Azami's words they hadn't just come with a single black dragon. "Wait a minute, you seem exceptionally calm about this, are they supposed to be here or something?" Daveth asked as he quickly turned back towards Azami and Kyras and began moving back towards them mostly indifferent to Azami's conversation with Kyras.

Male Half-Human, Half-Erinyes Burglar Lv4, Skirmisher Lv2

Daveth quickly looks to the sky as he catches sight of the three figures in the sky with a slight groan he turns away from Azami and the poor man who had caught her ire. "Why are there so many of them here..." Daveth says to himself as he watches the three figures fly towards the palace courtyards. Frowning slightly at that Daveth lets out a sigh before turning his head towards Azami. "Not sure if your actually part of this citys defense or not but I just spotted three more of the 'yokai' headed towards the palace. I'm personally gonna head that way to check it out, I don't usually like trusting general authority but this might be something you should look into if you are apart of this city's law enforcement." Daveth said before beginning to head in the same direction as the furies, hopefully 'yokai' was what people here called devils as he'd just assumed that it was since Azami had referred to the Erinyes by that name. With any luck she would make her way to the palace as well or at the very least not hinder his attempt to go there as Daveth had no clue how strict the palace was with it's security as he'd all but completely avoided the place in his entire time in this place.

Daveth raises an eyebrow as he watches Azami make a sudden dash at the man in the shadows impressed with the ease that she manages to catch him Daveth slowly approaches Azami and the man in order to see what the guy had been up to. "Pretty sure he was just checking out what was going on." Daveth says offhandedly as he watches the man fearfully attempt to protect himself from Azami.

Good to see your back Kyras :D

Quick question, as Hyundai is large sized. Can I attack him from atop the wall? The wall is 10Ft I believe and(i think) large sized creatures fall in around that tall >.>

Another thing, since Hyundai was moving away from me would I not get an attack of opportunity? I've never been good with AoO rules so hopefully someone can clear this up for me.

Daveths expression falters into a look of annoyance as Azami mentions the "Yokai" disappearing, that probably meant she hadn't simply flown off in a direction he could possibly follow which left him with no real means of finding her. Then again... that envelop could perhaps be instructions on where to meet her seeing as the Erinyes HAD mentioned that 'they' were going to recruit or kill him. Perhaps it would be worth it to invest a bit of time watching over this guy. "Like I said, I was fighting her and I intend to finish that fight." Daveth says with a shrug before turning to Kyras. "You should probably look out, I'm not sure what went on during that fight but right before I started fighting that woman she was talking to herself she said something along the lines of "He's the one, Lessanna was right, he'll join us or die." Not sure how much you know about her type of devil but there no joke. However depending on what that letter is maybe we could help each other out. I want to continue my fight with her, and YOU might happen to have a way to get to her. In addition to that It might be good for you to have someone watching your back if devils are on your tail."

OOC: Now what he's not(hopefully) in danger of having a Erinyes jump him could I perhaps make a Knowledge roll based around the name Lessanna? Perhaps Knowledge-Planes if she's a demon/devil?

She walks to the envelope the Yokai dropped, picking it up, watching Kyras the entire time...katana ready. When she notes Kong Zhen and another odd hunched figure coming from the roof, she raises the katana at her side and points it at the cloaked figure, looking past Kong as if he were no more than a tree. A stony tone enters her voice as she calls out to them.

In the name of the Emperor, halt!

Daveth groans a bit as he realizes that the woman is probably of some sort of authority in the town as few civilians would make such a declaration. With a sigh Daveth raises his hands in the universal sign of 'I'm unarmed and I give up' though the 'unarmed' bit is technically a lie. As he does so he uses one hand to push his hood back. "Whoa, whoa, calm down I was just coming over to see if either of you saw where the woman with the wings went. I was fighting with her up there for a bit before she managed to tag me with a sleep educing arrow." Daveth explains, and while the fact that he had not been fighting her for long was true he had been fighting her so it wasn't technically a lie so hopefully the woman wouldn't have any reason to think otherwise.
