Oh, if you guys want to do this, you absolutely have my blessing. Just because I can’t run the game anymore doesn’t mean the setting needs to die. Heck, that’s how Avalon happened in the first place, with a new game and a time skip from the original Agartha game when E7 had to bow out. It’s tradition! :)

Yeah, sorry for worrying you guys! I kinda had a mental breakdown fueled by health problems + major life stress and sorta lost language for a while. Autistic reactions to extreme stress are kinda wild like that.

I won’t say I never considered a more tragic ending, but honestly, I have been so frustrated with tragic endings basically being the default every time I start to like something and decided screw that. While there are tragedies and not everything is happy happy, I wanted to give this a more hopeful ending where it felt like all the crap along the way was actually worth it. I mean, come on, even Tolkien doesn’t kill off all his characters! :P

This gives me a Happiness (^-^)

And with Lynora's final revelations, I guess I'm left pondering the ultimate fates of the few characters I had any agency over. I suppose that opens up quite a few more 'What If' scenarios, heh.

We're just glad you're still around our corner of the multiverse, Lyn - 'radio silence' over these last few years has taken on some really scary connotations, so it's very, VERY good to hear from you!!! (^-^)

(But I'm also first to admit to never using much social media to keep me more in the loop on RL, so me culpa, heh.)

As far as my warped opinion on this...I honestly figured that the 'founding' characters from Realms of Agartha would finally fall fighting the Empire, with all of them and the School going down in a blaze of glory saving our main Avalon student characters, who then go on to finish what was started and free the galaxy, yada yada yada.

Not that I have any problem at all with a much happier ending - just figured it might be time to 'pay the piper', as it were...

"Where are They Now?" does have an interesting ring to it...hm.

51 is about to roll over me in less than two weeks, heh.

My own re-reads keep grabbing me with 'What If' moments....makes me think that if it's good enough for Marvel, it's good enough for Agartha, lol.

In other news: I feel....unsettled with my last in-game post. Having Fei actually consider engagement in what most other students would consider "fun" seems so off-brand for him.

Others need to step up and get involved here, and right this disturbance in the universe. Most unnatural indeed ;P

If nobody has any interest in participating in this Avalon Side Story (TM), go ahead and say so now (please and thank you), so we can try to move onto some kind of 'Plan C' that would be more acceptable to more folks.

I've been looking over the older posts since I went radio-silent. Has anybody been able to get in touch with Lynora to make sure she and her family are okay?

Barring any official errata, one option could be to modify the Dandy's Track ability to be the equivalent of either:

• the Perceptive Tracking investigator talent or;
  
• the Follow Clues rogue talent

Both of these options allow the character to use Perception for tracking instead of Survival, which fits the preferred setting and flavor of the Dandy quite nicely.

Many thanks for the swift reply, Jason (and even more apologies for my horribly-delayed acknowledgement).

I think I will make screen grabs of each area level individually and map them one by one - that should let me get the grids close enough to work for everyone. We'll just be cycling through a LOT of maps ;)

These supplements have been great for the 'certain Pirate Campaign' I'm running :)

My one stumbling block is with trying to use the untagged maps from Fort Scurvy in my VTT software - I just cannot get the app's grid system to line up with the grids on the maps themselves. It's seriously damaging my calm.... (-_-)

I know it's a longshot, but I don't suppose there are any 'gridless' versions of the fort's untagged maps floating around at Legendary Games, are there? (^-^)

I probably need to apologize in advance for any potential harshness in my posts for the next little bit.

We just got home from a two-week emergency trip to hospital with my wife and her family. She lost her mother to pneumonia (and to complications from that illness). She was an amazing and good person, and I'll just leave it at that.

So if my posts get a little terse and less understanding, please know that it is not intentional....this Dalesman is just all out of Diplomacy right now.
