Miyazaki: How can we make the DLC for Elden Ring scarier?

Design Team: three words: Giant scorpion mosquitoes!

Miyazaki: that'll do!

Addendum: Whoever thought it would be the Beezneez to have the Shadowtree Avatar have 3 phases needs to sent back to whatever constitutes a salt mine in video game development. Because that is just cruel!!

I've been watching a lot of history lately, and Joe Rogan the comedian has really helped me put dates and timeframes in an understandable context. I wish I could find the clip of this bit of his, because in it he's talking about the U.S. founders and how they lives 300 years ago. That seems like a long time, but Rogan pointed out that people can live for a century so really George Washington was only three people ago!

Ever since seeing that bit, history has been so much more relatable. Oh, the first empire the world ever knew began in ~2,300 BCE? Well let's see, that's 4,300 years ago...that's only 43 people ago!

Er, I probably shouldn't tell you how much the 900s sucked.

I went to the theater to see Alita : Battle Angel today and I enjoyed it. It was a good adaptation of the manga and the respect and love for that manga showed it the movie. Is it perfect? No. But it is enjoyable and they really tried to get the feel for the manga. I will be seeing it again in the theater and buying the DVD when it comes out.

a Hollywood adaption of a book imperfect, I am shocked!

Shocked, I say!!

A few areas we will get 4 insread of 5 in, but no corrective actions that have anything to do with me directly.

Still.

Huzzah! Glad you survived!

I want my f%$&ing mcrib after that.
I, uh... I think that's illegal in most continental United States.

Not to be That Guy, but wouldn't he have had to have said "I want to f@$! my McRib after that"

Unless you're implying the McRib has somehow gained sentience and has a propensity for f~!!ing.

The kids have been leaving all the hats in their lockers at school. Which means I'm reduced to either wearing an insulated headband or Olaf hat, complete with an orange nose poking off my forehead.

Olaf hat it is.

Have we gotten to the car analogies yet.

But the OP still has that horrible sleight against me! You even admitted it was wrong later! Which one of Captain Yesterday's aliases has editing powers?

I don't remember any of that (I think, I don't click on links, you never know which one will lead to Michael Bolton)

Are you sure it was me.

My high school team was called The Cheesemakers, but hey at least we weren't the dastardly Freeport Pretzels.

That's right, the General asked me to get bar soap, and I couldn't find it, because I never buy soap.
