Nah, almost all the faction goals are you were in a group that does it. Even some of the recruiting ones can be done that way. No problem if two Exchange people try one of the skill checks with one using Aid Another for the other’s attempt.

Varies by GM, but some will allow anyone to help on some of the recruit ones.

Making something like ‘defeat creature type’ would not be practical for all classes if it had to be a solo kill.

The place has been sealed behind a wall of ice. Even with the clay, it took us a while to get through. Linnorm is some sort of dragon, right? I don’t think one of those could get in here.

As Syco is dealing with the lock, Cith muses “Unlikely we will meet anything alive here unless it can burrow through ice. I do hope there are no constructs, their armor is almost impossible to get past!

I am in the US, although I have been known to be on at strange times given my timezone.

I also tend to spend a lot of time on the PbP section of these forums. Used to be on the other sections more, got overloaded on them and haven’t been there as much of late.

When it is time to go in the tunnel, he concentrates for a moment and some lights flicker into existence just head. He directs them over to the statues.

No one in the group is trained in Kn Engineering. Unless there is another skill that can be used or someone has a trick to give them it off something else we can’t do it.

Looks like this is a good place for Baldrum to use his Blessing of the Faithful repeatedly on someone who knows what they are doing.
I think that is probably Kalak if they will allow it.

Cith is happy to see Haltani again. After greeting her, he suggests that they get going.

Once they leave the protection of the city walls, Cith starts to become worried as it appears others are just as much city folk as he is. He makes his best guess as to the direction they should travel through the snow.

Opening his hood so his race is clearly visible, Cith gives the baroness a bow and assure her “I have never been to Saarbotten, Baroness. This is my very first foray into Irrisen.

We have come from the south, some of us much farther south than others. I am from Jalmeray, an island that could never support a wonderful garden like this one.” He gestures to the delicate frost flowers.

Since Haltani is her sister, I am sure she will get an independent report from her. Might as well share what we found out about the Ulfen across the border.

You should know that Saarbotten has been raiding the nearby Ulfen, likely seeking to make them attack you in reprisal. We were able to discourage such actions for the moment, but it might be wise to watch that situation.

When his whiskers start to frost up, Cith apologizes that he hasn’t adjusted to the climate and puts his hood up again to protect against the cold.

When the time seems appropriate he brings up the request to travel inland to access the dig site.

He addresses what he guesses is the lead guard in a clear voice, loud enough that all the guard and the baroness can hear it.

As far as Cith is concerned, the merchandise is just part of a cover story. Making a profit is nice, but not why we are here.
He would defer to someone with merchant experience on what to purchase.

I expect that the diamonds would also make excellent bribes if that is what we need to get the travel papers.

If you think the seeds would sell in warmer climates, we can adjust the ratio. I was just judging it on what I thought might sell, but if you have more experience with such things please to share.

Cith suggests “Should we spend about a quarter of the funds on the seeds, the rest on the diamonds? The seeds will only sell in the cold climates, and I would like to get out of the cold as soon as we can.

Cith is very interested in the jeweler and rumor of witch-tree seeds. Light weight goods are considerably easier to transport than materials like ore. At first he gets a little distracted by a twine merchant, but then he refocuses and resumes his search for goods popular with more races.

Evidently that twine was really fascinating…

Do we just meekly go along with these Ulfen to Whitehall or do we try to avoid it? My character doesn’t have much for other skills, but he has the people skills and there are others in the group that also do.
