I am very interested in a d20/pathfinder style conversion of a white mage. I am looking for something with the flavor and meat of a white mage. Any suggestion is welcome. I know there are some d20 conversions for Final Fantasy out there. I am interested in being pointed toward those and in hearing new ideas.

Any direction would be useful.

I am so interested. Can I still submit a concept?

Is the full class description for an abjurant champion available anywhere online? I have googled around and can't seem to find it.

I am playing an abjuration specialist and really enjoying myself. I was hoping ultimate magic would have more spells and feats specific to abjuration. I guess I am posting looking for two things. The ultimate feel of the caster is that he is focused on defense and buffing allies.

1. Any suggestions anyone might have drawn from pathfinder core materials for building an abjuration specialist or for spells or feats that complement my theme please let me know.

2. Any outside sources from 3.5 or none paizo products is welcome as well. So particular texts or spells would be appreciated.

I am playing an abjuration specialist wizard and am pretty disappointed by the lack of new abjuration spells in the book. I don't think I am looking for anything much. I just felt like sharing.

I am in a group that is about to start a Pathfinder game set in Dragonlance campaign setting. I am really interested in playing a cleric of solinari or maybe more specifically a mystic theurge of Solinari. I am looking for possible suggestions on how to accomplish this.

I have thought about using the witch as a template or going the wizard/cleric/mystic theurge approach. I also looked at some of the proposed ways of making mystic theurge a base class. Any suggestions anyone might have would be appreciated. My current thinking is to work up my own take on a mystic theurge base class using the dragonlance books to help.

We would also be appreciate of any links or suggestions for resources about converting dragonlance to pathfinder that are already out there.

I am wondering if anyone can help me find some fantasy novels, computer or console games, movies, or cartoons that prominently feature clerics/healers (divine casters in general). I would love any suggestions people might have.

I am particularly interested in novels or short stories that are Pathfinder or D&D affiliated, but am open to looking at just about anything. Im terribly under read in Forgotten Realms and much better read in DragonLance so either of those settings would be okay with me. The only thing that I can get to consistently show up through searching is The Cleric Quintet which apparently gets the worst reviews ever. Any specific dragonlance novels would be welcome as well. Are there any novels from DragonLance that people can think of that feature divine casting after the gods are gone again in the age of Mortals.

Online or published Pathfinder fiction would also be welcome.

I also like Mercedes Lackey's Herald books and wonder if anyone knows if any of her books set in that realm prominently feature healers. Their presence in the herald focused novels are really interesting.

I am currently playing Baldur's Gate II: Dark Alliance on XBOX with a friend and this has made me curious about other video games that feature clerics and the like.

Movies?

Any help you can provide would be awesome. I am just starting to get into playing divine casters and am looking for some inspiration. I use to play arcane casters mostly and that is significantly easier to come by.

Don't drop me. I have hung on from the beginning we lost our internet but it is back up.

male Human Ph.D. Student and Activist

Here Trying to get it together tonight. Merry Christmas guys.

I am excited and hope this happens. Ronin I think you have done some really solid world building. You should be proud.

Free-Bastian, Halfling, Cleric of Desna (Travel and Liberation Domains) or Oracle of Nature - either one would work. I was initially thinking cleric, but after working out the back story I think that the oracle might make a solid option.

Appearance:
He is small and thin even for a Halfling. He has a tuft of fiery red hair that naturally stands up on his head. His gear appears beaten up, but solid. The only two things that he wears that stand out for being so clean and new looking is a small silver butterfly holy symbol of Desna that he wears around his neck.

Personality: Bastian is a relatively quite Halfling, who is a bit surly because of always being deeply concerned about how to free the most noble of slaves in the area. When he is in a playful mood or in the mood to piss someone off his speed of speech and quick whit make him good company. He is always a little skeptical of anyone who is not a Halfling, but is learning to trust again.

Goals: To find adventure and free any she may enconter who are being held or forced to do something against their will.

Backstory:
As he prepared the dinner stew for the ragtag group that now share this abandoned storage building, Free Bastian thought back over the past two months as the scent of the stewing rabbit begins to fill the small room. The shared experiences of Bastian and his friends working in the house and the gardens of the lord of the manor could have been worse. They could have been required to work in his fields or the mines. As long as the house help were agreeable and did not force the acknowledgement that they were they’re working against their own wishes. It was just another day at the manor when Bastian heard the lord of the manor talking with his friend about how he planned to claim, Rabilia, the new young Halfling female that had recently been brought into the manner to serve as one of the main cleaning workers. His discussion was crude and violent. Bastian worried for her safety, but didn’t know what to do. He just knew that he had to do something.

As he lay in his small bed in the room in the manor basement he shared with two other Halfling men who worked in the gardens, he tried to conjure a plan for how to protect Rabilia and his other friends from such terrible ever present threats of violence and abuse. As he lays on his bed staring out the window trying to rethink his situation for the 20th time that night with the hope that something would click in his head making him better able to save her without forfeiting both of their lives.

It was then, as he laid there in the dark, counting the stars that he watched a bright blue butterfly fly in the small window along the top edge of the room. The butterfly circled and circles toward Bastian who was lying prone in his bed. The moonlight cast a bright intrusion into the shadow room just as the butterfly lands on Bastian’s open hand. The birthmark on his hand began to glow and Bastian felt a jolt of energy moving through him. His thoughts and prayers had been answered. They would be helped in their effort to escape by the goddess Desna. With Desna at their side Bastian successfully got five of them away from the manor and ever since they have been barely getting by through theft and odd jobs in Brevoy.

During the month and a half that the group had located an empty building in which they could set up an impromptu shelter Bastian has been praying more and more and now finds himself beginning his trainings as a cleric of Desna with the local priest. During a prayer one night it came to Bastian that he must work to not only free other’s who are currently being held or worked against their own wishes. The best was to do that would be for him to respond to the call for adventures from the leaders of Brevoy. Adventures were being sought to help address problems and then establish a consistent governing presence in the area. Yes this would allow him to travel, an odd desire he has had since being touched by Desna, and provide him with the opportunity to create a place for people like him.

So after gathering the few supplies and resources he has Bastian purchases or procures what he can to make himself come close to looking the part of an adventure and prepared to set off. He will save lives and free people when their liberty is in doubt.

For use in working up a character.

2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 2) + 6 = 13

2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 5) + 6 = 12

2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 3) + 6 = 15

2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 5) + 6 = 14

2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 6) + 6 = 13

2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 3) + 6 = 11

Yea the character I statted up for the game is the one on this profile. He is a Aasimar life oracle with a build that strongly points toward healing and buffing.

I am absolutely interested in a parallel campaign. I can reconcept my character if need be of course.

Finals have finally ended so I will get my concept up before bed tonight so you can have it to consider tomorrow. Thanks.

I would love to submit a character concept as well. I will get something up soon.

My completed character including equipment is up. I will try to write up the back story this weekend.

I am into a variant campaign! I will throw some stuff up.

I am wait listed and eager!

Pick me pick me!

A witch or a cleric or a druid!!!

Yay Melee is covered.

Rolling for hit dice:

4d8 + 8 ⇒ (5, 8, 5, 2) + 8 = 28

To the folks who are just now looking to join up at this point I would say that ultimately decisions about who can join/jump in are up to our GM: Ulgulanoth.

Just for informations sake though let me list.

The party so far would be (I am just using the names people are posting under on here for the time being). Class notes are just based off what people through out not necessarily final at all.

Christopher Tomas - some sort of healer, probably an oracle
Sunset -
Martinaj - witch
Shodkavots - Sorcerer
Benoit Leblanc -
Xane -
Joe - rogue

Earlier the GM had mentioned seven people being max for him so I think if everyone in the list is interested we probably are okay. Sunset, Benoit, and Xane what sort of character are you all interested in playing?

I'll try to get a character worked up sometime today.

Alright! YAY! Let's make it happen.

I would like to play an oracle or a cleric with a major emphasis on healing and buffing not really in the battle divine model.

What race options are you comfortable with Ulgulanoth? Could I go Aasimar?

Oddly enough I am pretty much open to whatever. I think setting it Golarian and keeping pretty close to the Pathfinder rules would be best for me because I don't have any real experience with 3.5 besides pathfinder.

I have been obsessed with the worlds largest dungeon or whatever.

Have you gm'd a play by post before Ulgualanoth? This is my first. If an is still in and once we figure out what we are doing we can throw up another recruitment thread and maybe get one or two more people. My guess would be more than five would be cumbersome.

We are now three. We have enough for party if we can only find a DM. Maybe if one more person starts we should create a new thread labelled searching for a DM or something.

I would really like to be a part of a pathfinder play by post game. I haven't done it before, but am really interested. I am a graduate student so I have time to post frequently and keep up. Please let me know if anyone is looking for players. I have a tendency to prefer divine casters and actually really enjoy the healer role.

Thanks Ronin. I will follow the game, because it look super exciting and interesting so if something opens up I will not take too long to get caught up. In the next few days I might go ahead and roll up the character so that if the time comes there isn't a major character creation delay.

Have a good game guys!

Sorry to figuratively barge in.

I have never played in a play by post game before, but have been looking for one to get involved with. I am so into the campaign setting and think that the work you all have done so far even though you had to do a reboot. I would love to throw my hat in the ring to be considered. I know you are running a waiting list so I would love to be put on it.

It would probably take me a minute to learn the forums and the tech parts, but getting the character and the concept done wouldn't take much time at all.

I am initially drawn to making an Aasimar Life Oracle. I am imagining someone who had the experience of being burned because his house was destroyed when he was a child due to his mother being a celestial sorcerer.during one of the magic cleansing raids. He would have the celestial bloodline that developed further in him and resulted in him being born Aasimar. While the fire was killing his family he found himself shielded from the flames after taking substantial burn damage that would eventually lead to sever scaring on his leg leaving him with the lame oracle curse and with a strong internal drive to protect life by whatever means necessary. He would be timid, quiet, shy, and nervous. Constantly afraid he will be the target of another of the cleansing attacks. He finds himself allied with characters who don't share his good disposition, but he is convinced that by working with them he will be able to accomplish more good than he ever could no his own in these dark times. He understands himself as the quiet moral compass of the party.

I imagine him playing a primarily healer/buffing role.

I also have an interest in playing a flame oracle, a witch, or a druid.

With the witch I would be curious if the unique campaign setting afforded the opportunity to take other types of familiars of the dm's creation. If I went druid I would go without an animal companion taking the domain instead. I think it would fit the game better at this point.

I wanna play!? Did I just miss the boat?

I have never played in a play by post campaign, but think it would be fun.

Let me know if I can still pitch a possible character?

My group is staring up the campaign next week and I am curious what people would suggest as far as an optimal healer for the party. I am okay playing a pretty much total supporting role with buffing and healing.

My preference would be to play a Holy Oracle. If I decided to do that can folks give me some advice on what stats are the most important, spells to learn, feats to take, and whatever other suggestions people might have.

I have recently joined a pathfinder group and am loving it. Our group doesn't play very frequently and I would love to get involved with another group as well if you still have a slot open. I realize you are probably pretty far into your campaign so if you want to keep me in mind for the future that would be cool too.

I am still learning the rules, but have experience in fantasy roleplaying so I am not a total newbie.

If you are still looking for a player let me know.

sowhereaminow,

I am new to pathfinder and loving it. I have a group, but we don't meet very often. I would be interested in joining up with another game as well.

Let me know if you are still looking. Anyone else too of course.
