Want: Catfolk Have: Haan, GenCon GM boons dating back to 2013, almost every PFS available race boon with the exception of Dhampir and Aasimaar, most convention boons including a wide variety of GenCon standard boons from the past 5 years. I managed to trade for a catfolk for the wife, now I need one for myself :) Let me know what you'd like, and maybe we can work something out. PHYSICAL TRADES ONLY, NO ELECTRONIC TRADES ACCEPTED. Thanks! :)

Number one, there are two sides to every debate, and in this case there are more than that, since the VO team has the side of the OP, the GM, the attending VA, and the players. Needless to say the side represented here on this post does not contain the whole of the facts and circumstances surrounding this. But since these boards are not the place for such things, I will not go into them. Number two, it is considered very poor form to name people in your posts by their real names, and I would appreciate the OP consider this in the future. As others have mentioned, the OP is perfectly within his right to raise his concerns to the RVC and OPC. Thank you
Hey there. Sorry I'm late on seeing this, but you might want to try the following two Facebook groups: Granted, these are for organized play, which you stated you weren't interested in, but they would be a good place to start linking up with local players who might also be running home games. Most of our PFS players also play outside of organized play. Best of luck in your search for a game! Chad
Aerith Bobman wrote: Hey internet people! I'm sure I can find this on my own, but don't really know where to look. If I buy something from paizo can I re-download it to multiple computers? I am probably not going to be on this one for long and I don't want to buy anything if i'm just going to lose it when I change computers later. Also let me know if there is a better place to ask questions than the welcome thread. Once again I don't really know where else to be looking. One way that I would recommend, and one that I personally use, is to make a folder on something like Google Drive or Dropbox to keep all of your Paizo PDFs in. Then, no matter where you might go, your books are at your immediate disposal. Phone, iPad, home computer, web browser, all are a means of getting to your books with the right app installed. Via my iPad, my Paizo PDFs are with me at every gaming table I play or run at. I cannot tell you how amazingly helpful this type of feature is. I still own a ton of hardback books, but my PDFs are my go to resource for Pathfinder.
For those interested in Pathfinder Society Organized Play, definitely check Facebook for Pathfinder groups. There is likely a group set up in your area on Facebook, and that is a great place to start! There is also a main group dedicated to Pathfinder Society play right here!

The problem with your statement is that it is against their policy to distribute electronic PDFs without a watermark. This is how they protect their own intellectual property from pirating, and is something that they are completely within their right to do. If you don't like it, and are so impatient that you cannot manage to wait a few days to get your download, request a refund from Humble Bundle and move along. You'll make it easier for the other 30,000+ people trying to get their copies. The simple fact is, if you aren't happy, you have options. So either join the rest of the folks patiently waiting for their copies to be available, or get your money back and take your complaints somewhere else. Paizo has stated they are doing what they can to get things moving faster, but the incessant whining and complaining is neither helpful or constructive to the process.

#1 - Your length of time in IT does not make you an expert when it comes to how Paizo does business or how their web solution is set up. Remember, they are doing this FOR CHARITY. Does it make sense for them to spend tons of money ramping up their online services for something that they are making very little actual revenue on? No. I've been in IT for 26 years and I know I'm out of my element when it comes to how someone like Paizo handles their web presence. IT does not make you an expert. You could have spent 30 years changing printer toner for all we know. :) #2 - If you have actually been in IT for 30 years, and are currently employed as IT, then I find it hard to believe that you do not have access to check the website while you are at work. Personally, I've been in IT for nearly the same length of time and can tell you first hand that I have all the time in the world during the day to check the site and download as needed. That is one of the many benefits of being in IT! Duh! #3 - Being in IT for 30 years means you are 48+, and should have a little more patience by now. If not, shame on you. And if you have an actual blog and twitter feed that anyone follows and are just not getting around to checking out Pathfinder, well sir, I question the impact of your negative tweets, because you are obviously not in touch with the RPG community as a whole.
I purchased a few of the soundpacks last year after GenCon and was not sorry for doing so. I really like the product. Now to get everything else? Wonderful! I will probably still make purchases, because I support this kind of thing with gaming. Kind of like why I continue to pay for all of the Hero Labs additions even though its offered for free to VOs. :) Thanks Mike, Erik, Benjamin, and everyone else looking out for us!
Love Razor Coast and would jump at the chance to tackle it from a PbP standpoint. I tried running Skull and Shackles with my home group and it was very difficult for them once we got to the end of book 1 and the ship stuff started coming into play, which is one of the aspects I love. I'll take some time and look as the current members, examine how the game flows, and come up with something asap. I wouldn't do the application justice if I didn't do some homework first to make sure it had the right feel for my play style. I do tend to get rabid with my posting and I'm always impatient when the games I am running or playing in bog down, so you can definitely count on me to drive along with a high posting rate. Thats a dream game for me. :) More to come soon!
Definitely interested in giving this a go. Never had the chance to spread my wings and play an evil campaign, and would love to see how this turns out. I'd be interested in playing a Hellknight, Order of the Chain. If psionics resources (i.e Dreamscarred Press) are allowed, that would be my first choice from a class angle, likely a Psionic Warrior. If we are sticking to core then it would be a straight fighter. Focus: STR

Definitely an odd dice arrangement. Talk about feast or famine! I'll work something out and see what I come up with. Would appreciate feedback on the class question above!

I'll add to Mike's comment with some real numbers to help support the point he makes. In 2014 I GMed 43 tables of PFS, which includes specials. (And thats probably low compared to a lot of GMs. I have a less active area. I was also out of the country for three weeks.)
Mike is 100% correct. Most dedicated GMs play very little PFS because we are usually busy running games. While I am very appreciative of the boons and bonus to rolls that GMing can earn, most in-play benefits usually matter little to the majority of full-time GMs.

I could be wrong, but I think the 4-5 star exclusives can always be ran by a VO for just this reason. However, Mike would need to confirm that one.
I am happy with the idea of certain exclusives remaining available to only 4 and 5 star GMs. One, it does insure they are run by experienced GMs, as some of them are more complex than your typical scenario. Also, it not only rewards GMs for their efforts, giving them something special that only they can run, but it also motivates other GMs to follow the path to becoming a 4 or 5 star GM. Very excited about these new scenarios, they all look to be very promising!

Cort Odekirk wrote: Fix is in testing. I will note that if all the characters have "claimed" their characters (e.g. registered the characters they received as cards) then reporting should work as it is currently. If you have a pro-active group of players, just have them register their characters and you can report immediately. Cort, how I wish it were that simple! :) Thanks for working the kinks out of this. Those of us with conventions and regular gamedays know that more often than not our players tend to be a little lax when it comes to registering each character they play after their first. I've been noticing its even worse for reporting for the card game OP campaign. I've stressed it though! :)

The thing folks seem to be missing is that results from scenarios are reported to PFS leadership so they can take those results and shape future stories. That is why we now have A, B, C, and D check boxes for success conditions. As long as this persists these results are not being tabulated, which is hurting the overall campaign. If it can't be fixed, at least give us a workaround.

Please help me welcome Nathanael Broomall to the VO corps as the new VL for Frankfort and Lexington, KY. Nathanael has been instrumental in helping grow the Pathfinder Society community in these areas and has shown incredible talent behind the GM screen. He has been a constant champion for organizing regular play in his area and has been a key to the success of our special events in recent months. He has dedicated much of his time to making sure that regular games are being run and has worked closely with the local store owners to get the word out to old and new players alike. I look forward to having Nathanael on the team and continuing to grow PFS in the state with his support.
