I taunted my staff at TFPG that I would be working from the beach all last week. I indeed went to the beach all last week, but did not work. For this, I apologize. (totally worth it though1)

I apologise for taunting Wes Schneider by pretending I didn't notice his novel in a photo he tweeted.

I am very, very sorry for FAWTL.

I finally saw Predestination. I enjoyed it, but I must apologize for my brain wanting to see Ethan Hawke's character in a scene holding a "#1 Parent" mug.

I haven't seen Evangelion yet. Sorry about that, Chris.

I apologize for telling everyone on the FAQ Friday thread to come here and apologize about something as a prayer of gratitude!

I apologize. To you, but more, to the two people I may have hurt. Given what one of them said, I have no idea if any effort to get that to either would be recieved - or even welcome. As you do, and have access to that which is gone for most of us, if you think it would be a good thing, I would ask that you show my original apology to whom it would apply, if it is appropriate to do so - I am unsure of either the state it or they are currently in (as it was removed while I was trying to fix it, and I was doing so hastily to be clear), so I leave it to your judgement, whether or not it is a good thing.

I am also sorry for breaking a guideline - it was not part of my intent, as I was not interested in furthering the argument, but merely using it as an example. Beyond that, it wasn't even an attempt to take sides: I'm sorry it came off that way.

In a non-apology, though, I am thankful for the consistent honesty of the staff and faculty here, including yourself. It really helps. Thank you.

I also apologize for any poor spelling, grammar, or really weird word choices in this post: I'm on a phone, and I kind of suck at it. Sorry

EDIT: a whole phrase I somehow let out. Sorry.

Oh Mistress of all that is digital, sweet lady of the web, I humbly apologize for a certain thread I started, never intended it to be an example of poor discourse. My intent was for good civil discourse, seems I have failed, and now that thread is used as an example of what NOT to do, and for this, I am indeed very sorry (not kidding I really am, that whole deal blew up in my face in all sorts of ways and now my mutton chops are on fire, ouch).

I apologize for feeding a troll. I just hope I didn't step out of the bounds of decency so I didn't also made your work harder.

Hey, your tale of battling drunk Nazi minigun-totin' shoplifters while the shop was on fire and their miniguns were firing bullets that were on fire was sure something I'll remember fondly.

Or maybe I really shouldn't do the boards when drunk.

I apologize I can't stay away from these boards, and keep making new accounts barely a few months after asking for the previous one to be closed.

I apologize for making that rant.

I apologize for answering inquisitive & suspicious PCs' questions with just the right sort of wording, that even a high roll Sense Motive can be answered in my favor.

To any of my players, if they read it; finding out too soon beats the fun.

I apologize to point out the Paizo staffers might want to update their Wishlists; numbers, availability or lack thereof, shipping address, etc...

And some update to the store, you will understand while updating the wishlists.

Dear Chris,

I must sincerely and regretfully apologise for:
a. Feeding my dog that cheap dog-food that disagreed with her...
b. Not arriving home until late which meant I had to take the dog straight out...
c. Not putting her on the lead straight away which meant she went straight into the neighbours garden...
d. Spotting the neighbour's car returning home...
e. Rushing back inside my house... Shortly followed by the now relieved dog.
f. A short but suitable time later leaving my house for the 2nd time to encounter my neighbour discovering a 'mystery' canine's rather large 'misadventure' on their lawn...
h. Denying all knowledge of it.

Well, I'm sorry as well. A close family friend's sister died in Paris, and another relative used to work at the rehab center in California. So I got entirely too worked up about people's flippant attitude towards Milani and [redacted].

My apologies.

Also, I'm sorry I never realized Ambrosia was also Pillbug, I learned something new today.

Also hugs for Rysky, Ambrosia, and Kalindlara. No worries, you guys are the best :-)

I wish to apologize, not only to Chris, but to others whose feelings I have hurt when posting on THAT thread.

I think I used the wrong words and added fuel to the fire when I was trying to defuse it :-(

And then I kept on trying to get my point through when it only added to the mess.

I was with my wife when we learned that one of her coworkers died in the Paris attacks. And I do not wish such an awful moment on anyone.

There is already too much pain in the world. I do not wish to add to it. And I fervently believe that the vast majority of posters here try to make this world a happier place.

Once again, I apologize to all of you. I hope I can learn a lesson from this sad situation.

Kalindlara, I am happy to know that you feel better. Your post from before had me worried. I appreciated your posts in the RPGSS and I think these boards are a better place thanks to your presence.

Cap Y, you have my sincere condolences too, and to your family and friends who lost loved ones in these attacks. To be hurt thus once is horrible. To be hurt twice I cannot even imagine.

I am really sorry.

An all-purpose sorry (I find it's a good idea to make one towards the end of every year), and also a thank-you, Chris, for reinstating the Threadlock Refugees thread. The mods tend to get a bad rap for being unyielding, but I've noticed plenty of instances of them being open to criticism as long as you use the right channels.

It's really nice to have that thread open. Here's to hoping we can keep it open and barely-used through 2016!

Hey, we can hope.

I apologize for having a poor understanding of emotions. More specifically, knowing when they are present in an exchange of interpretations. I appreciate a neutral observer who knows when to intercede, and when not to.

little late to the party, but: I apologize (to mark seifter specifically) for immediately writing off the kineticist class--i mean fire and air are still a steaming pile of... well, you know, and burn (sorry, "overflow") is still completely awful in every way, but earth/water/aether can actually approach a functional character!

I apologize (to the entire Flying Pincushion Staff) via Chris as a proxy, for telling everyone the Kineticist book project would be relatively easy. I blame Cosmo.

And I apologize for blurring two threads together in such a horrible manner.

But it's really Cosmo's fault.

I'm Hiding In Your Closet wrote:

Nope!

"Instincts" =/= the "heart" - at least in my use of the terms! :)

"Heart" (aside from the beating muscle we all need) is (colloquially) generally used to refer to the emotions and feelings - the powerful impulses and sensations that make us feel things.

"Instincts" on the other hand are the impulses that are related to danger, safety, reaction, and rapid understanding. It is not necessarily emotional, though it is related to such things.

As an example, my instincts were screaming "DANGER, DANGER, DANGER" but my heart/emotions blinded me to said instincts. Hence the "apologies" above - I listened to my heart, and not my (subconscious? lower-conscious?) head.

(That said, "always" trusting my instincts is not the best way, either, in my case. Reason, thinking, and pondering are generally better. Evidence, proof, and careful logic. You know. Also not ignoring the emotional part. It's a balance, I've found. :D)

Scarab Sages

I've determined that what most people pejoratively dismiss as "feelings" are in fact the end result of thought in its purest form: Empirical input -> cogitation/logic/reasoning -> conclusion/judgment -> emotion. The Freudian model of the mind is just a metaphor for Victorian society and is scientifically WRONG, WRONG, WRONG.

Bad things happen when emotion precedes logic, but that usually only happens after other people invade your brain and indoctrinate you to believe that you aren't a being of logic, and to equate "reason/logic" with language. NOOOOOOO-OOO. I have a personal proverb I hope to spread around: "Don't think with your mouth." Pure logic is nonverbal, and operates at literally the speed of thought. It is very bad to dismiss these as "irrational feelings," when in fact the emotion is just the colorful finale to the process. I would counter your final remark by saying it is not "a balance," but rather the belief that you speak of as antagonistic poles is a fallacy, and that the truth is that they are one and the same.

I apologize if this is a little dense or garbled...but I can only offer that apology to Chris Lambertz.
