He then quickly examines Rik's arm and then the wolf that bit him. "Let me know if it starts to bother you. We'll want to watch that it doesn't become infected. He had some experience using them as he found it useful to visualize a location he was researching the history of. Entering the hall, he casts a spell on top of his helmet to bring the light of Pelor into the darkness. He follows along, letting the gnome and oread lead, and pauses when Badabar wants to check the alcove. He steps over to the gnome before he walks over and asks Pelor to guide him. "Perhaps," he responds, "or left in a hurry. The howling wind is quite unsettling. I wonder if it was designed this way," he wonders as Badabar returns and Andros mentions the flickering light in the distance. "A green flickering light?" Channel (6/6), Touch of Good (6/6) Looking at the magic item creation rules, I realize I've never created high level items where that 5% discount would help. It looks like I can easily create some +1 items in a week (and save about 500 gp) but a +5 item seems unlikely. As I understand it, take a +5 weapon with a base price of 50k which would take 50 days. If I increase the DC by 5, I can cut it to 25 days but only if that's all I'm doing. If we are out adventuring, it's back to taking 50 days. Even if I create 6 similar items over the course of a year, I will have only saved 15k in gold from the trait. Just from that perspective, it seems more advantageous to take the seeker trait for the boost to perception.

My current background has me passing through town so I wouldn't know anyone although we can adjust that if needed. I do have religion but limited as a cleric w 10 int. Part of reason I went with human to get a 3rd sp per level. I took a trait to reduce crafting by 5% to save gold. Maybe I should change to seeker to boost perception and free up a few skill points for other skills. Any thoughts on that?
