and done. Ive written up background as far as Captain Britain's exchange student visit to New York (or in this case Captain Taldan's visit to Absalom) where he roomed with Peter Parker (you paying attention Pieter Parshikov?), even though his powers were different then.

Whew! What a marathon!

Just got spells to update and couple of feats to add, now.

Grand Lodge

Still Interested. Inspired by Iron Man, Im going to change to Monk(Martial Artist)8/Summoner(Synthesist)8.

Grand Lodge

OK, I have given him an arcane Bond, which will be his internalised item.

Grand Lodge

OK, I have recreated him as a Sorceror (Sage). AC has decreased (but I was able to boost Dex+2, so it's not as bad as it could have been), and I feel happier that he is closer to what he should be. I have added Skill Focus (Perception) to offset the reduced perception a little. I dispensed with the reskinned Wisdom in the Flesh Trait and added reactionary. He is now a Brilliant Planar Arcanist who has studied at Darkmoor Manor, a secret research facility near the Galt border.

@Tilnar I like that idea, I will look into Headstrong and pick a suitable trait to offset it.

Is it something you could work by swapping out monk for ninja?

I'm not that familiar with the character unfortunately.
Ninja (CHA) or Brawler from the ACG (just plain ol' STR) seem like possible remedies to get out of a WIS dependency. That opens up every Bloodline for you too, if there's another that's more thematic than Empyrial...assuming either can work well with your build.

The current incarnation uses his fists, though previous incarnations used a quarterstaff that got changed to a sceptre (say, mace). I believe that while he was King of Otherworld, he had a sword too (but I don't know much about the most recent stuff). Brawler might work, but the main reason I picked Monk is because He has Force Fields, which Monk's armour bonuses can be reskinned as. Also, he hits hard with his Fists enhanced by Telekinesis (Monks unarmed damage). Also, his costume enhances and focuses his inherent power (a la Monk's robe).

Thinking about it, the Wis gvies me better ac, stunning Fist and Quivering Palm, and also better Perception but that's all. (He doesn't get Ki as a Martial artist). Well, he's not going to be using Stunning Fist or Quivering Palm, so the only loss would be ac, which is already high, and Perception, which is also high. I might cut back on WIS and boost one of his mental stats (INT covers his background as a scientist - or in this case Sage, Cha as I discussed would be a source for his sorcery powers)

The possible answer to your question is an 'Arcane Academy'. (^_^)

Much cheers to all.

Lol, yeah, what I meant was what type of Arcane? Planar? Evocation? Constructs? It has to be extremely powerful and dangerous if not controlled (Sounds like summoning) and could be used to power entire cities. Is there an in-game Magical Material that fits that description, should I go ahead and make one up (Arcanium sounds good), or should I just make up an arcane form of study that fits the bill?

If the latter is the case, I might go Planar and make him a Brilliant Planar Sage (I'll swap my knowlesge (Arcane) for knowledge (Planes)).

Ok, a quick low-down on where this build's at.

Things I like about this build:

  • 30 AC. I can't see much hitting him, so his Force fields really do work. OC, that's with run-of-the-mill encounters, remains to be seen whether supervillians have the power, but even Str 30 would only give you +18, meaning a hit on 12+ (before Feats, etc. - or 55% miss rate)
  • Good damage. 2d6+11 with 4 attacks means 72 damage if all 4 hit. and he can get more with Haste.

Things I don't like about this build:

  • based on Wis, not Cha. Brian Braddock was always a bit impulsive, not the hallmark of a wise person, and his powers are supposedly as strong as he imagines them to be (at least in his latest incarnation), which I read as tied to Cha (Force of Personality, etc.), but it would have been too expensive to have based him off Cha. Either I play a different personality, or I play the same personality despite his stats.
  • Low to-hit bonus means that he may have to buff (probably with Heroism) and/or switch off Power Attack.
  • After 5th level spells, not really any spells that go with the Concept (at least not that I can see).If the campaign gets that far, I will have to Multiclass from Sorceror to something else.

and here he is so far. will neaten and add background soon.
