"If you don't mind, sirs, I shall endeavor to carefully inspect the walls to see if I can find anything interesting."

"Hullo, Master Odhran. Sorry, I was communing with the Inheritor, and I didn't realize we had a fellow adventurer. Welcome to our motley band." Camris bows curtly.

"Now what have we got here?" He strains to listen and look down the tunnels.

"Master Araxus looks pretty bad, so I don't know if he'll be much help, Master Damien," Camris blurts as he takes another swing at the goblin.

Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Camris regards the goblin archer with a bit of sadness, suspecting that its fate was inevitable. He swings his sword at the creature...dispiritedly.

Camris moves (double move) forward to stand next to the goblin in the back and yells, "Yield, foul beast!"

Camris will attack a goblin if one is in reach.

Seeing Slidell move Araxus out of the way, Camris breathes a short prayer to Sarenrae and moves to K3 where he attacks the goblin.

Attack roll: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

"Really slippery!"

Camris then realizes Amadeo inquired about the poor monkey.

"Let me check. I hope he's OK!"

Heal (untrained): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15

Camris hesitates for half a second and then decides to go back for Zeb. He grabs the monkey and begins to follow the strange child/halfling.

"Oh no, the monkey! I can't get him unless we get rid of the swarm." Camris frowns.

I tend to conglomerate all movement-related things in a round if all you're doing is move actions. You can pick something up or open a door and keep moving. The actions simply cost you squares of movement. Opening a door is a 5' equivalence in my game, not a full move action. Picking up something/somebody is a move, though.

In Camris' case, he starts with 40' of movement budget for the round. He uses 10' to get into Amadeo's square, 20' to 'pick him up', i.e., get a grip on him (move action), then has 10' remaining. However, dragging reduces movement speed by 5' due to encumbrance, so his speed is reduced from 20' to 15' as soon as he's got Amadeo. This allows him to drag him the remaining 5' of movement to -A11, which is just outside of the swarm.

Anybody see a way he can move further? I am going to say Camris and Amadeo are in Camris' square together because of the drag.

The doughty halfling wades through the disgusting mob to his fallen comrade and tugs him from the fray. The ooze bugs drop away as they are drawn uncomfortably far from their brethren.

Camris/Amadeo to -A11 unless somebody can convince me they can go further. I also need DC15 Reflex save to see if Zeb managed to get a death grip on Amadeo as they were swarmed, unless Zeb was stuffed into a garment pocket or somewhere similar.

That all seems reasonable to me. When I posted, I figured you might have to adjudicate something. :)

"I dare say, does anyone have anything explodey?" Camris backs away from the bugs and attempts to drag Amadeo back to -A13.

"I guess you'd kind of have to expect oozy things in a sewer," Camris says as he draws his longsword and advances.

"If you think you can avoid capture, Lady Janiven, then I suppose it would be best for us to split up," Camris's voice quavers with concern.

"Master Mysterio, I realize that this endeavor may come to violence, and I understand what the Hellknights represent. I won't hesitate to take the appropriate action where they are concerned."

"Yes, it is exciting at that, Master Slidell. I truly hope it doesn't get terribly more exciting." Camris watches behind the group, hoping the catch any pursuers as his eyes adjust to the dim light.

After making sure everyone is safely through, Camris looks at Janiven questioning whether she plans to retreat too.

"Go, everyone!" Camris tries his best to whisper loud enough to be heard by all in the room. "I will take up the rear in case things go sour."

Camris rushes over to where the pair are to see if he can help too.

Camris, alarmed by Slidell's reaction, stands and readies his longsword.

"You know where I stand, Lady Janiven." Camris tries to suppress a smile.

Camris stands. "I'll be honest—you folks wouldn't necessarily be my top choice for a venture like this, but I'm not the one gathering the team. I trust that Lady Janiven has assembled us based on what we offer, and I agree with Mysterio, although not for the same reasons of course, that it is vital that we work together. If one person cannot hold their weight, that will imperil all of us, so, yes, you need to be abolutely sure you want to do this." With that, he sighs and returns to his seat.

Camris turns to the newcomer. "Hello, I'm Camris Findlespur. Pleased to meet you." Camris extends his hand towards Damien.

Camris tries hard not to outright stare at Amadeo.

Lady Janiven has assemble quite the group, and this new arrival seems quite mysterious Camris muses as Amadeo walks in.

"Greetings, I am Camris Findlespur, and may I introduce Slidell and Ariaxus Nestarsian." The halfling reaches his hand out in friendship.

Camris vigorously returns Janiven's handshake. "Lady Janiven, it is wonderful to see you too! Thank you for the food and drink. You've always been a gracious host."

Camris notes the new arrival. He seems rather shy. It's hard to make friends in Westcrown, so I can certainly understand.

Camris reaches out his hand to Araxus. "Hello sir. My name is Camris Findlespur."

Ugh, Hellknights, Camris thinks as he tries to hide his disgust. Then he notices the tall (well...they're all tall, aren't they?) human knocking on the door with his cane.

"Oh good, it's so nice to meet one of my compatriots already. I'm Camris Findlespur," the rosy-cheeked halfling says to the man at the door.
