Part of the problem is the Pathfinder system. As I've played various different styles of PnP RPGs, I've grown a deeper understanding of what I like to see in a game, and I've noticed more and more that Pathfinder frustrates me as often as it excites me lately.

In a short while, after I've recovered from the shame I'm feeling for canceling this campaign, I'm going to experiment with coming back to the boards. One game at a time this time. But it won't happen right away. This was my first attempt at DMing an online campaign...it hurts that I'm shutting it down.

I hope you guys can understand and we can stay friends and play together again when I'm ready. It's not personal. I just can't do this anymore.

Froggy...it was a great experience! It was my first time playing on the boards and was a great way to get started.

I hear you about the rules...I've started playing a lot more of the Savage worlds rules recently, much easier to learn so can concentrate on role-playing instead of worrying about rules.

Caln shakes himself as if awaken from a horrible dream. This place must be affecting me...it seems like days have passed but it was just minutes.

Caln follows Suny into the waterfall cavern. He looks around to see if there is any sign of where the burn marks come from...

From his prone position, Caln pulls a wand and with a quick flick of his wrist Casts Summon Monster II (specifically a giant spider hoping that will prove a more desirable target for the wolves). The spider should appear in the midst of the biggest clump of wolves.

Caln barely hangs onto the rope as his very beliefs are under attack. Hanging there limply he's roused to motion by Arwen pushing him and he slowly begins to pull himself up the rope.

Oh good, we're back. Folks don't forget to look at the loot table and make sure that you have what you need. Caln grabbed the wand of admonishing ray as well as a scroll of lesser restoration. There are still several wands available.

Caln checks his gear one more time and then holding onto his symbol of the Goddess he says a brief prayer for their success and then follows the others into the unknown.

Uflad's face grows grim again when the artifact is mentioned. Unexpectedly, rather than argue back, the overweight man sighs. "I...agree with you. The artifact must go...but it won't be as easy to get rid of it as it was to discover it, I fear."

"Wizard, why not have the Fletchlings take it. They want it and you want to get rid of it?"

Caln shoulders his way forward to take a place between the prisoner and his tormentor. "STOP THIS RIGHT NOW!!!" Caln shouts in a voice as loud of thunder. Lowering his voice he continues "We need to reach an understanding with these Fletchlings. You murdering one doesn't help."

Haven't done the math yet, but everything looks good. Just need to flesh out the Trappings for your spells... and keep in mind that Sorcery is very rare, and many consider it "evil".

Trappings are all around light. Basically a light in the Darkness against set. Bolt of light to burn, dazzling light to confuse, etc.

Hakketh is neither good nor evil...he's so utterly focused on his quixotic battle that he would ignore innocents caught in the crossfire to destroy the worshippers of Set.
