Just wondering if TEO is at war with Stoneroot Glade settlement and their allies in the High Road Covenant and I somehow missed the announcement?

First, a TEO member attacks one of our members in a starter village, knowing that player was a member of Kabal - which has been sent to goblinworks to handle, a few days ago.

But then, last night, TEO takes a tower away from the Tre Company, a Stoneroot Glade company.

Just wondering if these actions are due to an overeager member of TEO or if you have decided to butt heads with us? :-)

Currently Stoneroot Glade has two companies. We are always looking for more companies to join us. Individual players are also most welcome. We train Wizards and Rogues. We are in the Northwest, among the highlands.

Here is our PSAs from our company commanders:

1. Alabaster Hands of Pain
Welcome friends to the halls and gardens of Stoneroot Glade,

All that you see, everything you touch and taste, all things cultivated and built by mortals are the product of the Hands.

Alabaster. Simple, Strong, Beautiful, and infinitely malleable. The hands will always strive to create that which is stong, beautiful, and serves its purpose with simple efficiency. We will always seek to provide that which is needed by our Kabal brothers and sisters, and when possible provide for our friends and allies. Homes, clothing, weapons, food, potions, all things required now and in the future. We must always strive to change and grow, to be malleable, thus crafted ourselves into what is needed by the Kabal.

All those who seek to master the arts of creating and sustaining a community, settlement, or kingdom will find themselves at home within the Hands. Be your passion farming, mining, weaving, masonry, blacksmithing, or governance we will help you master it. We will be the hands that guide the growth of the Kabal, and its settlements, allies, and peoples. Together our hands will grow, harvest, build, and create from nothing that which others will look upon with awe.

Built upon our blood and sweat, the settlements of the Kabal will inherit our strength of purpose.
Defended with our Arms and armor, the enemies of the Kabal will feel our wrath.
Nourished and healed by our crafts, the people of the Kabal will know our kindness.
Through the pains of our Labour we will bring life to all places the Kabal are present.

Alabaster Hands of Pain

Membership among the AHoP is open to all, regardless of class or race. The only requirement is a desire to serve others and build together that which is greater than any could achieve alone. Sponsorship by a existing Hand is desired, but not required, but all hands must be brothers and sisters of the Kabal. Those who seek to be hands will be given an apprenticeship, and advanced upon successful completion of their apprenticeship. Continuing through the company ranks will require tireless work, and perfection of a chosen craft or profession.

2. Rancourous Ash Crickets
At the forefront of the Kabal you will find the RAC. Leading the fight against monsters, outlaws, kingdoms, boredom, and common sense in general.

The RAC will distinguish itself as the premier fighting force of the Kabal, covering all professions and combat styles. Coordinating with the other Kabal companies and their specialties providing any and all support needed for them to safely accomplish their goals, or augment their efforts with specialists for specific tasks or goals.

RAC will pursue perfection in all forms of warfare, providing the Kabal with a solid fighting core for all the other companies to draw upon. We will provide training, knowledge and guidance to all Kabal companies to increase their martial abilities.

When crime, conflict, and war call upon the Kabal and its allies the Rancourous Ash Crickets will be the first to answer, and the last to leave the field.

“Even when it seems quiet and you feel alone, you can always hear the crickets…”

Membership in the RAC is open to any class or race, with the exception of those without martial skills. Sponsorship is required by a current member of the RAC or any Kabal company leader. Those who are sponsored will be brought into the RAC at the lowest rank for their chosen combat style and profession.

Promotion out of the lowest tier of ranks is required to remain a member of the RAC. Those who fail to gain promotion will be moved to a secondary company and may be sponsored again at a later time.

Members of the RAC will be promoted and demoted as needed due to their skills and the needs of the company.

Application to the RAC can be done through the recruitment forms, once you have secured a sponsor from a current member.

1. If you ever plan on being part of a team, DO NOT give yourself a long name!! Makes it too hard to invite you to the team.
[Saw someone whose last name was something like Treefarkinbarckles]

2. DO NOT stand around a group you are not part of and then slip in the kill shot of the monster THEY are fighting.

A lot of settlements/guilds have their own 3rd party chats set up. But many of these groups, right now, have very few players on at the same time, most days.

So how about a comprehensive list of those channels so if no one from your settlement is on when you are, you can going jumping around on the various chat groups to find someone to adventure with instead of having to adventure alone?

We have a number of alliances that have been formed as well. Anyone have chat account set up for their alliance members to get on? A list of that might be a good thing as well.

The Sassy Mystics are now recruiting!

You say you hate getting blood and gore all over your nice clean robes while fighting? That you prefer blasting your enemies to small bits from a nice distance while eating lunch or sipping a fine alcoholic beverage of your choice? You say fighters and rogues closing in on the enemy prevents you from showing everyone how awesome magical firepower is? Then the Sassy Mystics are for you!

Our company will be composed of those who wield MYSTICAL POWERS beyond the scope of understanding of normal fighters and rogues. If you can cast a single magical spell and are not on the side of EVIL, then we want you! [And we consider Divine Casting to be magical, so you clerics are invited too]

We will be operating out of Stoneroot Glade village, a member of the Free Highlanders NAP and the home of Kabal.

We will be blowing things to bits, holding towers against all comers, and do a little crafting from time to time.

When in the game, just type "/companysearch" [without the quotes] and look for Sassy Mystics. Then click on the name and then click "JOIN". And then await your approval.

more information on Kabal can be found here, including how to access its Mumble chat: Kabal Homepage..

Let's all try to meet up around 1:30 PM Eastern both days, after they have done their maintenance for the day, and try to take down the escalations around us. Join in when you can, drop out when you have to. We will go until we are done or bored. Meet up by the bank in Stoneroot Glade or if you get in later, just send out a shout. :P

We want as many groups as possible and clear as many hexes as possible

Just wondering something recently. Not sure if this was ever covered or not.

If you have a murder flag on your PC and you are with your company trying to hold a tower during the PvP window, if that character is inside the zone for racking up points, does that murder flag adversely affect the accumulation of points?

To The Great Western Kingdoms! [Or the Great Western Kingdom if we merge into one nation when nations are finally allowed]

Please make sure to stop by this Wednesday to Kabal's site for our Meet and Greet on Mumble. http://kabal.enjin.com/

It starts 8:30 PM Eastern.

The plan includes convincing a few non-PFO folks to come join PFO. And if you know a few yourselves, have them come by too. And of course, after we have convinced them how wonderful PFO is and how much more awesome it will be later and that they should join PFO, we will then convince them to join Kabal.

If folks from the nearby settlements come by, we might talk about who will provide what kinds of training so we don't overlap each other too much. Possible trade agreements might be discussed. Non-aggression pacts? Alliances? [which will probably be done privately while the leaders work out the details, but a simple - "Let's Talk" could be mentioned at the Meet and Greet.

Possible Tower Allocation might be discussed. [To my mind, anything east of Ozem's Vigil and south of Callambea that nobody is sitting on is open to us all. And depending on who is sitting on it, we might discuss taking it away from them.]

And pay homage to the Great Sun King! Sunnfire the First!

Watching the stream of this and mention was made of a single goblin on the side of the road. And perhaps having him run away instead of staying there and dying. How about he runs away to get the party to chase him right into a goblin ambush?

Goblin Squad Member

We've been told if we try to solo, we will die. Which is like throwing the gauntlet down in front of me. :-)

I figure it is better to die early and often when I don't have much stuff to lose than die later and often when I do. So I'm planning on one of my characters soloing around the closest hexes to my settlement on day one.

Any other brave/fool-hardy/gutsy/crazy/fearless/stupid/ etc. souls out there planning to try the same thing?

Is the 6/1 date the beginning of the second week of the land rush or its end or is it the end of a very extended first week of land rush?

"Land Rush Mechanics

Each week, we will get a list of settlement priorities from each guild in the Land Rush. This means for each settlement slot—A through AD—the guild leader must assign a priority from 1 to 30. The settlement assigned Priority 1 is the settlement the guild wants the most, while the settlement slot with Priority 30 is the one the guild wants the least. The leader then submits these to Goblinworks.

At midnight PST each Sunday (for the ten weeks of the Land Rush), we will count up how many people are in each guild and match those numbers with the priorities for each guild. The guild with the highest population total gets their first pick. The second largest guild gets their first pick, assuming the largest guild did not take it, in which case they get their second pick. The third largest guild gets their first pick, assuming neither of the two larger guilds claimed that spot, and so on for the thirty largest guilds."

Our company captain mentioned we needed to come up with a Motto and Values for our company to display to everyone else who might be interested in joining us.

And since I was bored, I came up with a few mottos that I thought might let folks know what a company's outlook or main activities were.

So a few of them are:
"Sorry Mate. Tree huggers are in the next Settlement over!"
"When it positively has to be there before your Settlement is Sacked!"
"Goblin Infestation? We Kill 'Em, Dead!"
"Can't We all Just Get Along? No? Kick to the Face!!"
"Because I'm the LAW, that's why! And I'm the LAW because this very sharp sword says so!"
"You raid us, we can't make more BEER!"
"Pillage First then BURN!"
"If U Kin Reed This, then U reely Smart! Go Away!"

any other mottos you can think of?

Thinking about playing a LN gnome cleric of Asmodues with Fire Domain, using the Theologian Archtype and taking the Pyromaniac racial alternative.

Pryomaniac is treated as one level higher when casting fire descriptor spells or granted powers of the Fire Domain.

Theologian has Focused Domain which treats all level-dependent effects of the granted powers as if you were two cleric level higher.

Does Theologian & Pyromaniac stack to make it three levels higher? The first level Fire domain spell is burning hands. Would I be casting it at first level as if I was a 4th level cleric or not?

Liberty's Edge

I'm confusing myself with Power Attack, a feat I've never used before. Could use some help figuring it out.

I have a lvl 1 Paladin with a 14 strength, using a greatsword. He also has Weapon Focus: Greatsword. Do I have it right that he is +3 to Hit and +6 to damage? The normal +2 for Power Attack with a +1 since he is using a two-handed weapon and +3 strength damage for using a 2-handed weapon. Yes? No?

Now I bump him up to lvl 14 to play a paladin for Iron Medusa. He now has an 18 Str and a 14 BAB. He also has Furious Focus, which eliminates his minuses for his first swing when power attacking.

Would he then have a +19/+10/+5 to attack and 18 damage? +12 for power attack and +6 for strength with 2-handed weapon? Yes? No?

If no, where did I go wrong?
Thanks
