1. If you ever plan on being part of a team, DO NOT give yourself a long name!! Makes it too hard to invite you to the team.
[Saw someone whose last name was something like Treefarkinbarckles]

2. DO NOT stand around a group you are not part of and then slip in the kill shot of the monster THEY are fighting.

ROFL, I nearly fell out of my chair laughing at this. I'm pretty sure you saw my crafting alt. No worries on needing to group with that character. XD

<sigh> So I guess "Deianira Sunstorm" will bug people?

... OK, yes, I will, and probably for many reasons, but I meant the length of the name.

#2 is impossible to do with my groups, since any white on our mini-map gets chased and killed.

We had an old saying in the south...

"Bunny run, beagle chase".

My company is made entirely of beagles. Woe to the bunnies.

Note, not all of my company are killing people solely out of bloodthirstiness. But those of us who aren't particularly bloodthirsty still don't feel like our hunting and gathering time should yield fewer results, which is exactly what happens when you don't chase the bunnies off.

Or we could ask for GW to think about catching up with the last decade in game design and include easier methods of grouping.

* Right Click on Character..... Drop Down Menue Appears (Like freaking magic).... Options: Send a Tell; Form Group; Invite to Guild; Add to Friends List; Ignore; etc..

Yeah the social aspects of the game are severely lacking at this point. I personally view getting those up to snuff along with the AH not sucking are WAY more important than War of Towers.

Not my game though, I just play it.

I'm sure they [GW] is trying to carefully straddle that line between adding more features and polishing existing or new features. Both endeavors are mutually exclusive in terms of code output unless you increase the size of your team.

But yeah, I agree, making group and collaboration more effortless needs to be a priority.

@Savage Grace - where do you and your group operate out of?

I'd like to know too so I can stay clear :P

LOL

Golgotha, but we venture down the mountain quite often for any needed resources that don't spawn on our mountaintop plateau.

Like I said, we aren't totally bloodthirsty. For instance we killed a guy once but happened to be near his spawn and didn't keep killing him. I'm pretty sure his first death telegraphed the message we wanted to send.

And if we chase you off from somewhere not on the mountain (perhaps even a place you consider "yours"), we're not likely to be dominating that hex forever. OUR bags fill up too, just like everyone else's.

Maybe even faster since no one is competing with us, yet. :-)

And if anyone WANTS some PvP, I can probably get my company's director to either invite you to join our company or to schedule a brawl with your company. Just speak up.

And bunibuni, I apologize that this has turned into an accidental thread-jacking.

Not a problem.

Figure as time goes by, more folks will add their bit of wisdom as to what not to do. :-)

Actually if you die in the Emerald Spire hex you get spawned in Golgotha territory (the hex north of the Emerald Spire)

I might know the player if he was a dwarf and seemed a sitting duck

What not to do
3) open up your starter pack while in the wilderness
3a) open up your starter pack while in hostile wilderness and become overloaded

You are welcome to drop in to Aragon for your Rogue / Fighter needs. Aragon and Golgotha are allied members of the Northern Coalition.

You are also welcome to join the UnNamed Company for PVP raids, as it seems we share the same impatience for PVP, and not waiting for the WoT to dip our blades into bloody carnage.

There have been so many victims it is quickly becoming a blur. LOL, I don't think any of us have max rep, though only one psycho is getting really low (waves to Tig).

I used my whole name, as my dear old Dad would want...but it won't be an issue after they work in some chat shortcuts (right clickies...). I'm keeping mine. My other toon has a name just as long.

Yeah Fann but it's at least manageable. I've seen some that look like a quick slap at the keyboard. :P
