Bulvi put his hand against the wall. [b]"I don't feel so hot, maybe that thing had some kind of venom. I can keep going but I wont be at my best til I shake it off.
Bulvi drew his sword and looked at the thing. "This is going to hurt..." He hurtled forward trying to draw the creatures attention towards him rather than Fin. As he struck at the amalgram undead entity he let out a bellow.
Bulvi's boots sprout wings around the heels. "We'll see you there Saki, we'll try to clear the way for you." He flew up beside Quasit and hovered there for a moment. "Hop onto my back, we'll be up there in no time."
Bulvi waves off Kal when he starts coming at him with the wand. "I'll be alright, no immediate threats. Leave it to the ring and save the charges for someone else. Two or three minutes and I wont have a scratch one me. We might easily get that much peace while exploring but if you hear an alarm go up feel free to give me a blast."
Bulvi reacted a bit slower to the end of combat compared to the others, He kept his pistol drawn and sllloooowwwwly scanned the skies in case something tried to attack their scouting group.
They were moving so fast... all of the... no everyone was moving so fast or... damn. Bulvi kept tracking the creature and painfully slowly pulled the trigger once more.
Bulvi raised his shield too late as the spray of acid slashed over him. Drawing his pistol he leveled it at the one to the south. As he fired he stepped slowly between shots to get them more spread out.
Bulvi moved closer the new threat. His pistol left out a thunderous roar as he raised his shield up.
I've done more GMing than playing but I am enjoying it as a player too. My play group has largely shifted over to it, if there is a premade adventure for 1e we want to play we'll do it but for a fantasy RPG PF2e is our go to now. It's largely easier to run with the principles of game mechanics being consistent all the way through. That said the people you play with and the adventure is always more important than the system, I'll go back and play 1e, D&D 5e, 4e, 3.5e, 3.0e or if someone hold my hand on the mechanics AD&D- I only have broad ideas of them from the older Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale entries. My playgroup is very excited for Starfinder 2e and how cross compatible it should be with Pathfinder 2e remastered so they can assail my universe with Shoony Soldiers wielding mini guns or some other such horrors.
Ok I am past the second busiest time at work in the year... 218 posts... it'll take a while to catch up. I'll be thinking about songs that might suit the different characters. I'm about five sessions into a Pathfinder 2e campaign. The character I am playing is partly based on Bulvi. The players all declared my Dwarven Fighter "The Party Dad" despite them all being around the same age (when factoring in races). This is helped a bit by him being the party healer with bandages but he's also very level headed and not a glory hound which adds to it. He'll absolutely take an easy victory rather than try show boating.
Have we got an extra 4K gold to spend? If so there’s the Flask of Endless Sake…I'm afraid Zilvazaraat doesn't deal in non-magic items so he won't bring the Andoran whisky.Well that's disappointing. Hopefully Findurel actually finds a village that has a jug of peasant vodka to sell. Bulvi can pitch in towards that too.

Bulvi gave Maka's shoulder a gentle squeeze before kissing her on the temple as she cried. Selena was always chastising and nagging but he seemed less frustrated with her than many of the others a lot of the time. He hoped she had some trick up her sleeve or they could find something. However long she was going to be gone he'd miss her... at this stage he accepted she really had been killed, sneaking around to leave them under the assumption that she was dead this long, it would be uncharacteristically cruel... unless perhaps it was just being done to Quasit.
After the first whack of healing Bulvi shook his head "Thats enough, by the time I get to the coffins I'll be healed. Save further charges in case we need them." Bulvi turned his attention back towards Maka. "I'm going to head off Fin.. I would take it as a personal favour if you didn't get into any fights while I am gone, that fight was too close." He drew her into a hug. Shortly after he'd turn to Fin and starts reloading his pistol. "Alright, let's get stuck in."
That's rough, hopefully it's all sorted now.
Bulvi's teeth ground in pain, half stumbling forward but he kept his footing. He dropped the wizard but as he caught his breath drew his sword and began thrusting his blade at the gaunt figure.
While Bulvi knew she was more than capable he also knew Maka was hurt and once she reached the edge of the shield he put away his pistol, gently touched her neck and moved to take the burden that was the dead villain to carry it the rest of the way. "Outside?" He looked around "Selena can you do anything about that spell so Quasit can have another look." After a few moments without a response he looked towards the pile of cloth where he had last seen her. "She cast something like mislead.., right?" Now there was no immediate threat his grim optimism regarding her fate was giving way to a sinking feeling.
Bulvi blinked, perhaps the sound of Maka's voice breaking him free from the magic that held him... or maybe just a coincidence. He slowly began turning his attention back towards the fight. "Maybe... how do we know he's not some kind of a strange liche that is going to get back up?" Bulvi sheathed his sword and unholstered his pistol leveling it at Rasputin. "Just going to poke him a few times to see if he is faking." The first bullet aimed towards his neck.
Lightning arced through Bulvi's body, his muscles tensing and convulsing as he did his best to stay standing. His eyes stared at Maka's fallen form and then at Rasputin, trying to close the gap vainly as his body was wracking with electricity.

@GM_Almonihah is there a knowledge I can roll to figure out Rasputin's likely creature type... Human, Native Outsider? With his ancestry I wouldn't be surprised if he fell under one category or another. Flipping the bane on Bulvi's sword to something suitable would help potentially.
Bulvi's stomach twists and turns as he watches Maka. Moving swiftly across the room he focuses his wrath towards the headless horseman. His hair is whipped back by the wind wall. He snarled in Russian towards Rasputin. "I'm almost finished with your puppets, soon I'll be cutting your strings." He doubted he'd be able to bait the deranged man but if there was a chance he'd draw an attack spell towards him rather than Maka he'd take it.
Bulvi looked over at where Selena had been, he really hoped this was some clever spell on her part but as he looked around he wasn't so sure. He looked towards Maka, he had to trust she could hold out a little longer, if he and Chest Thumper downed more of these vampires they might draw Rasputin's focus... maybe. He stepped closer to his next target and began hacking at it.
Bulvi charged forward to reinforce Chest Thumper, he focused in on the vampires. Was Rasputin human, undead, native outsider? That was unclear but vampires he knew how to handle
Well at least it wasn't Baba Yaga but...
...Bulvi got a sinking feeling. He strode forward glumly wondering it he'd be sent sprawling again due to magical power. That would be typical. Muscle memory took over, his blade carving towards the figures midsection.
Bulvi blinked, the large Ulfen man got to his feet a little shakily and nodded to Maka. "I'll live, thanks." He assumed she and the others had helped since he was free again. He stepped closer to one to the west, part of him wanted to help Maka but she could handle herself and he didn't want to give any more encouragement for the western one to close on Sakitu.
Bulvi lies almost motionless on the ground, if it weren't for the slight twitching of muscles...

Bulvi did his best to keep pace with the spectre and force it to direct it's attention towards him as he sees Kalchine suddenly freeze.
Bulvi's eyes narrowed as he heard Fin scream, as he moved closer towards the undead figure he focused, his blade seemed to become almost as transparent as the figure as he raised the blade. "I think you are going to want to pay more attention to me!" He snarled in Russian... before his sword sailed harmlessly by the figures shoulder.
Bulvi returned Maka's hug and whispered in her ear. "Almost everyone here is human, I am just trying to ease her into us not being that different."
Bulvi tried to add a more familiar element for the girl into the conversation. "I'm very boring, just a normal human with a lot of experience fighting. We all must seem strange to you. This place is strange to me too with all the guns and gun wagons. Where I come from guns aren't ass impressive so usually I find me armour more useful." "So if I get confused I might ask you some questions and you can ask me questions too ok? Like what is the proper name for those gun wagons?"
After the first healing spell Bulvi would wave Kalchine off. "That's fine the ring will take care off the rest, honestly if I hadn't been scorched so badly I would have stopped you before that one... but if we get assaulted soon that would be better to be in a good state."
"Sure-" Bulvi began to respond to Saki when the creature fell to the ground. Still smoking Bulvi moved in interpose himself between Anastasia, and the messy remains of the draconic beast. She'd likely have many nightmare haunted nights to come after this moment. He wasn't sure what to say, his words failed him. What would he say, oh don't worry that wasn't your brother he was already dead?
Bulvi howled in pain as the flames swept over him... but continued hacking at the draconic beast.
Bulvi takes a step towards Alexei as he shifts growing larger and larger, somewhat taken a back by how large he has grown.
Seeing the scales he reaches for his blade and started striking at the monstrously large figure.
"It could be a protective ward or something like we saw on Sinverfel a few weeks back." He said while nodding towards Alexei, he purposefully used the Varisian word for predator as a name hoping to clue in Quasit in particular about his suspicions. It was possible the creature might know Taldane or Triaxian but Varissian? Far less likely. For the others the meaning might be less clear but it would point towards falsehood and context would do the rest he hoped. Bulvi readied himself to grab a hold of the 'boy' if he became aggressive. There was a chance he might just be a petulant little princeling though Bulvi doubted it he was not so confident as to go straight for his blade without more to go on.
While I would love to be able to blame recent storms here for me not posting that only interfered with the electricity and the internet for the last part of me not posting. I could shotgun blast knowledge checks to figure out what Alexei is/might be but I've got a little in a lot of skills. It might be better if the GM checks Bulvi's skills and rolls hidden in a spoiler.
Bulvi quietly observed, never turning his back on Alexei. He considered what the boy could be if he wasn't what he seemed. An outside? Perhaps an abomination, fey or a spell caster? Perhaps something tasked to keep tabs on her in case she was freed and leave a trail for it's master.
Bulvi looks at the machine gun considering using it but instead heads off towards the tower soften up by Kalchine. If he stayed here there would be a hail of bullets in a heartbeat or two. "Heading to the smoking tower next." He called out unable to see any enemies within earshot but also unable to see his allies he was trying to stay somewhat co ordinated.
If we take out the guy with AOO I am thinking Bulvi might man the machine gun and turn it on any viable targets he can spot? But I am open to better suggestions.
Bulvi focused his attention on the remaining two guards before they could get to the machine gun.
@Saki Bulvi wont need the flying spell as he'll use a charge of his flying boots to get five minutes of flying, worst case he can use up all three charges if he needs to keep up. I don't want Saki missing out on a third level slot in a pinch if needed. The greater invisibility will still be gratefully accepted.
I've been keeping alert the last day or two, just waiting for my go. I'm going to try and keep on top of this. Stay with Bulvi's group and get stabbing.
I've still got +1 Dragonbane Thawing Longspear on Bulvi's character sheet, have we sold it already or should we add it to the pile for gearing up? I was hoping to get winged boots if we have enough which would help with our flying capacity. Also to note before revealing his presence I intend to have Bulvi use warrior weapon to put bane humans on his sword which should help a bit.
Bulvi nods. "I reckon I can handle one of those machine guns after practicing with the slower ones but we'll make that call at the time when we see the lay of the field looks like then."
