Island based kingmaker might work. Start with the three goblin modules and the existing ship wreck could push the goblins to the sandbox of an island..... Wrecker for hire is an idea.
As rulers they would still be asked (although differently) to do tasks...
Bucko is TN his experience is that humans are arrogant scrum, but they have uses...beyond eating. All of the goblins have evolved through out this...

Any ideas on what to do with a bunch of goblins??? Most AP's I agree are out of consideration My hope was that if one modified Kingmaker to the point that each PC represented the smaller monsters, then you could have one kobold, one mite, and one goblin who are all plotting to become chiefs of their respective tribes, and to rule their own kingdom!!! KM already has a tribe of kobolds and mites in proximity to one another, throwing in the goblins from We be Goblins. And possibly a fourth small race in the alliance...ratfolk I am thinking. Kingdom building will be chaotic and stability rolls will all be DM fiat.....the kingdom will grow in spite of the goblins activities and in some cases because of them! Anti-heroes archetype!!!
Maybe change the charter and the treaties to magical mouths that repeat the text of each such that no one is exposed to the corruption of written documents! Make the outlying areas self governing, thus the kingdom grows regardless of the "rulers" penache for trouble. Right in the heart of the kingdom is the tribes of goblin, mite, and kobold who rule the entire land through force of thier established treaties and powers. 8th level goblins are serious business!!! Each player could be chief of his respective tribe ; )

So if anyone wants to help me flesh out Kingmaker goblin edition it is a thread in the Kingmaker section of these boards. One of my main concerns is kingdom building and the RAW. Will need either tweqking or DM fiat....kingdom grows in spit of what the rulers are doing....

What about way of the wicked? Surely escaped desperate goblins on the run trying to stay one step ahead..... music starts "Just good old boys, doing the best they know how...been in trouble with the law since the day they were born."...
Anyone else looked at taking this idea forward? I would like to get people involved in fleshing this out? Combining goblins and kobolds might work. The main thing would be the players playing goblins willing to work towards a goal.... What if we use the we mite have a problem scenario combined with the monster kingdom idea, except the monster kingdom excludes the mites, Sootscale kobolds and the nearby goblin tribe. play the PCs as one of these three races maybe run through (We be goblins 1&2 to get proper level) who are befriended by Human NPCs (the charter holders) out of Oleg's. The charter and the Kingmakers treaties sets the stage for the kobold, goblin and/or mite PCs to step-up as Kingmakers once the original charter holders are all dead....

What about an AP? What if we were all a bit more civil? Maybe less story and we travel around killing more and bigger things? Taken as drow prisoners because we were all so full of giant we didn't post a watch for the night? A desperate king pleads with us to save the castle from an invading army?....We inadvertently killed his greatest knight because we mistook him for a bandit?
