Umm, I'm here for the blood drive. Is there cookies?

So, is this officially dead or is there still any life left in the corpse? Do we need to find a Miracle Man?

"Friend Syd? Are you not well?"

Perception: 1d20+8=22

[ooc] Sorry, getting ready to move cross county this week and posting is getting sporadic... May be off the grid next weekend. I'll try to post as I can. Feel free to NPC Domo as needed. [ooc]

That works for Brother Domo!

"I am not, honored sir, a great warrior, but I will lend my body to this task, though I pray I do not lose my soul!" Brother Domo pipes up from the back of the room, where he was listening rapt.

Domo stops for a moment to admire the bouts. Calling out to his comrades he exclaims, "I am always happy to see these bouts! Brother Patience always said that my head was more fit for being hit than anything else!"

Sorry, got out of the habit of checking the thread. I'm back now, but posting might be sporadic over the next couple days. I have a conference to put on... Also, Domo was raised in a monastery to Irori. He only found out about Cayden Cailean from some rather off-color comic books he found hidden in the library...

Yes, honorable DM, we are in.

Ve must make for de temple with haste! Come now, move, before you are all picked clean of valuables.

Domo looks perilously confused. "But they EAT goblins here?!? EAT them?"

Are there any handholds on the wall that could be used to aid in climbing down?

Domo's eyes go wide at seeing the poor guard killed in so ignoble a fashion. He closes his eyes and murmurs a prayer to Cayden Cailean for his soul's swift passage to better lands.

Acrobatics: 1d20+10=22

Domo, being the trusting guy that he is, steps onto the platform and takes a position in the middle, taking a brief moment to ensure that the platform isn't disturbed too much by his movement.

Domo walks over to Buttercup, rubs her behind an ear and tells her in a low voice to "be polite." SHe immediately lowers her ears and begins hissing, like a snake...

Gulaf wrote:

"I have no experience vith bodiless demons. Virgin eating abominations summoned from beyond, yes. Gulaf has wetted his pants as a grown man before sights that drive philosophers instantly to madness. But now I am too old. Follow me. You should go to the pillar."

"Honored one, will the paladins of the pillar be able to aid us in restoring this demon to its prison?"

"Friends, I believe the demon is on the roof. We must beware." Domo murmurs in a voice designed not to be heard.

Domo follows, but he is keeping a weather eye on the commotion. Just in case...

Perception: 1d20+8=25

Domo looks shocked at the small child attempting to cut his purse, but is distracted by the bird.

"If that bird is possessed, perhaps it is better to leave the demon there. At least then we know where he is, right?"

Perception: 1d20+8=19

Domo nods at the discussion of funeral rites, "It is good to honor your friend in this manner. When I am dead I would like for my body to be interred under a tavern, so that I might always hear the tales of daring and adventure..."

"I have a handful of gold and items that can be sold, if we have need of money," Domo says, sorting through his coin purse. "I would gladly give what I may if it would see the end of the demon's evil."

Aref Sami Shahrokh wrote:
I vonder if de donkey and my camel could cross-breed, a hybrid of both would be quite a thing to behold and possibly quite useful. I vill need to think, someone who could help vith IDing de gem......hmmmmmm.

Domo looks a bit unnerved at the idea of a camel-pony and Buttercup shakes her head and begin baring her teeth.

Domo nods thoughtfully. "Perhaps a mage would be best, then. At any rate, I must make ready my companion for traveling."

When Domo reappears, he is accompanied by a shaggy pony that snaps if anyone save Domo comes too close. He apologizes profusely for her manner but says "she is a loyal companion and a good judge of water."

Domo stays pretty quiet as everything is packed, still disturbed by the notion of the foul demon abusing the body of the poor dancer.

"This gem, it holds the key to imprisoning this demon?"

The Deceiver wrote:
Brother Domo! Stunning Fist!

What is this fist of which you speak?

Could I spend an action point to have Domo grab the dagger blade, knowing full well it will damage him?

"Demon! You dishonor this woman's flesh with your vile presence! This outrage will not stand!"

Domo flurries at Aki, Nonlethally: 1d20+5=10, 1d6+1=4, 1d20+5=10, 1d6+1=7

The die rolling gods have turned their face from me. I am bereft of luck.

Hoktsumisso wrote:

It's only logical . Domo is not used to grapple women

EXACTLY! They get all slippery and warm in strange places... Then my hands get covered with drool and it's all downhill from here...

Pharasma wrote:
Akilara herself is stooped over Aref, relieving him of his sack ever so gently and caressing his cheek.

As loud as he can: "Thief! Unhand that gem! It does not belong to you!"

Then, if possible, move to Akilaria and attempt to grapple: CMB:
1d20+7=8

I think they'll revoke my monk license for that roll...

"Friend gnome, I have the strangest feeling that this has all happened before! What a strange feeling!" Domo shakes his head as if to clear it. "Perhaps I should stay away from the Keshian Tea next time?"

He turns to Domo and extends a meaty hand to shake, "Fanks fer yer 'elp. Sorry yer 'ad to get that Vass fella on yer. But, safety in numbers, eh?"

Domo takes the hand warmly. "Indeed. I am honored to be among such company."

Jon Qiang wrote:

"You two must stay together with us, now. You have fought him. Now he will use you and kill you."

Domo seems troubled by this, then sets his jaw and nods. He bows low to the party, "I am yours, bound by my blood to aid you if I may, or hinder your enemies if need be. By Cayden Cailean, I swear this."

Hoktsumisso wrote:

Hoktsumisso looks a little incredulous when he see the servant looting the corpses while he didn't fight but he looks around and see the others do not react .

He then looks at what he has picked up and smiles
Then he go back to his place saying to Brother Domo
'Come , Brother Domo, and let us speak of this great fight . It seem the others are either dead , escaped or too proud to speak with us ! '

"The talk of demons troubles me, friend. If they are capable of possessing anyone, then are we safe? How would I know if I were possessed even now?"

Pulsifer, I vould velcome your help in examining dis book.
"Yes, my friend. It is of interest."

"I could help, if sirs require. I have some experience with pouring over murky texts; Brother Patience calls it my penance for a smart mouth and less wise discretion."

Syd wrote:
"Enuff. I've 'ad enuff." Syd says with great weariness.

"Ah, sirs. I regret that I was unable to aid enough to save your friend. You have my condolences. His soul will surely be favored by Cayden Cailean, for he fought with worthy friends. My name is Brother Domo, of the Monastery of the Inner Light and servant of Cayden Cailean." Domo bows low.

"He is a desert dweller. I was thinking of sending him somewhere.... cold... from whence he shall not be coming back."

Domo tilts his head to the side. "That is... appropriate. I can abide by that. But first!"

<Domo will attempt to remove any visible unholy symbols that he can see.>

"Wait! It is not fitting that we murder a helpless opponent! Perhaps friend Draka, there is a temple we could deliver him to? A holy place that will seek to redeem his tortured soul?"

Nonlethal Coup-de-grace(?): Attack: 1d20+8=26, 1d6+2=7

"Thank you, kind innkeeper!"

<Move to E18 and attacks the Cleric>

"Priest! You serve a vile deity! Repent or face judgement!"

Attack: 1d20+8=22, 1d6+2=3

<5 foot step to g18, still ringing from that last blow, attacking #1 with lethal intent>

"By Cayden Cailean, evil doer, you will pay for your treachery!"

Flurry of Blows: 1d20+8=21, 1d6+2=5, 1d20+8=23, 1d6+2=8

<Seeing the rogue fall and the others still attacked, Domo moves to G17 and attacks #5.>

Attack and Damage: 1d20+8=20, 1d6+2=8 (Nonlethal)

"Stop this madness! There is no cause for this brawling!"

Syd wrote:
Is the enemy Mwangi gentleman in J13?

I think that's the doorman.

The Deceiver wrote:

"What argument?! This is the fncking prelude to the big fat kill!"

<Looking very confused and very naive>

"But is not the hero supposed to shout the catch phrase and then attack, smiting the evil? Is it not the evil that is supposed to make the banter and reveal its evil plan?"

Spoiler:
Domo's very sheltered, and most of his "real" worldly knowledge comes from a chapter book of the tales of Cayden Cailean that he's pretty much read unto disintegration. I'm all for the banter myself!

The Deceiver wrote:
"I don't need therapy! You do!"

"Um, sir? I've never fought demons, but I didn't think arguing with them was a very helpful tactic. Perhaps if you knocked the man out, we could remove the demon?"

The Deceiver wrote:
"The man is no more! That is Vass, a fncking demon!"

"A demon?!? By Cailean, he must be stopped!"

<turning briefly to Cordoba, keeping his eye on the possessed man>

"This man, sir, he is not right, is he?"

<Having seen an unarmed man attacked by one that seems crazed, Domo vaults to his feet, moves to G11, and attempts to knock the man (not Cordoba) out.>

"Please, sir, there is no call to attack an unarmed man in such a fashion! Please calm yourself!"

Acrobatics (to vault to his feet as part of his move):1d20+10=24

Attack and damage(nonlethal): 1d20+7=19, 1d6+1=7

I assume you just need a straight d20 roll for initiative?

1d20=12

Domo has a +4 to Initiative, Dex 18.

Domo's eyes go wide as Akilara bends over backward. "Wow! She might even be more limber than Master Ping!"

Hoktsumisso wrote:

The gnome rolls his eyes ,swallows and turns to his neighbor :

'The shifty one over there said they need help . Hotsumisso just told him how he can help and asked what was his problem '

"Ahh, I see." Domo cranes his head to look at the person the gnome indicated and leans back over toward the gnome conspiratorially. "They seem like they can handle themselves."
