Hmm you know, if we're going by Pathfinder lore (But modified), Angels have an important hierarchy that all follow - the Triad of Choirs. The third Choir, and the least of angels - the Devas, have only two wings, and are the most common and varied of the Angelic races - what I'd expect we'd be.
The second level are the Planetars, with four wings, and the third are the Solars, with six - Ragathiel is an Empyreal Lord with six, (or five now, since he lost one), for example.
Note that, even though there are only these three in the Beasiary I, there are a wide variety of Devas in other books, of varying power.
Obviously these are the 'pure' angels that we wouldn't be playing as - they're too powerful, so I understand the need for custom angelic races.
Currently, I don't know what I'd pick as far as the race goes - but I may just go for a Fallen Angel for kicks and a challenge, but we'll see.
As a DM of another S&S campaign, I find that its best to do daytime/nighttime actions and day jobs all at once, and not worry about individual dialogue. Encounters can be ran as normal, but since we're meant to spend what, 21 days onboard the Wormwood, if we spend even a week per in-game day doing daytime/nighttime jobs, we're gonna be here a while.
And I have absolutely no hard feelings Cap'n - this campaign has proven to be hard to run in PbP format for sure.
After a hard day, Bohd gets to bed early, tired and frustrated due to the day's events. He plans on getting up early in the morning and needs his shut eye instead of drinking and talking with the men.
Early in the morning, he intends on meditating and preparing his spells.
"Righto mon.." Not happy that he let a man die, Bohd's mood has quickly soured. He had never been a particularly good healer - he was better at keeping people alive with food and water, not medical attention. This day had proven just how his skill at non-magical medicine was inefficient. Hopefully the next day he can prove himself more useful.
As per his orders, Bohd leaves the medical cabin and heads below deck towards the Quartermaster's office so he could get properly fitted, not to mention retrieve the supplies his new mentor requested.
Bohd, You succeed at saving one man's leg from an amputation by cleaning the wound with some spare rum, excising some dead tissue, and stitching the wound closed. You save a man's eyesight as well by applying an ointment to his wounded eye, which will aid in the healing process and reducing scarring. The last man you work on is not so lucky, for in trying to excise necrotic flesh from a deep wound on his shoulder, you slip with the scalpel, nicking an artery and causing the man to bleed to death in less than a minute's time. Quarne lets out an exasperated sigh, Ah well, two out of three isn't bad. Shame about Maddog McGuffin, but thankfully for you, no one will miss him. Think you're up for this work, boy?
"Well mon, woulda been nicah if I 'ad prep'd mah 'ealin' spells, but ja, I can be doin' da job."
"Well mon, ta be 'onest, I only prepared one 'healin' spell todah.. If dere wounds can wait 'till tomorrah, I can 'eal 'em den." Bohd looks apologetic that he did not come prepared - not that he knew he'd be healing people, that is.
"Plugg be sayin' nah magic, but he never be sayin' no magic ta help 'is own, eh?" Bodh walks over to the man and quickly waves his hand and chants, touching the man's gangrenous hand, which cures quickly and easily. "Nah need ta be cuttin' 'is 'and off now, ya mon? I be a storm chassah - a Druid. I follah tha will o' Gozreh. Usually, I be actin' as sailin' mastah - back on da old ship."

Casting Cure Light Wounds on the poor sod. Here's the roll, if it matters.
"Names Bohd, I be ya new helpa, mon." Though not a doctor, Bohd does not seem queasy at the sight of the man amputeeing the woman's leg. "I be no doctah, but I be fixin' up people in da past, so I figurin' dat bein' da surgeon's helpa be bettah than bein' a swab." Bohd shrugs and offers the man his hand as a gesture of greeting.
"Names Bohd, sirrah. Bohd Stomcallah." Bohd can tell this man already doesn't like him, so he attempts to not piss the man off more than he already seems. "Well sirrah, I be more of a stahm-watcha maself.. but I be takin' ya up on da surgeon offah."
Hey guys, as I just posted to Cap'n, I actually completely forgot that we moved, and was keeping an eye on the OLD thread, waiting for us to move on. As a result of me only posting in this campaign's discussion thread, it didn't show up in my campaign lists.
I'm really sorry for my screw up! I'm going to get reading what I missed and caught up now, so I can post.
I'm fine with either a PG13 version or a more detailed and bloody version. I generally tend to lean towards the latter, but I'm fine with whatever the others prefer or whatever you're more comfortable with describing.
The major change is point buys not featuring a scaling system. That essentially means that to take an ability score to 18 from a base of 08 is 10 buy points. Starting ability score cap of 20 including racial mods is still in place. Yay or nay to this? I've found that it only bumps party strength slightly and is mostly used to allow them to not become Scooby Snacks as bad as normal.
I do not like this at all, to be perfectly honest. I prefer the standard point buy.. its standard for a reason. In fact, it encourages more min/max. Say we all start out with 8's - Now, my character's attributes are invalid. In fact, in order to get this, I would have had to spend 30 points to get what I had. It encourages people to focus on one or two skill points and leave the rest to be lower. For people who like an average set of abilities, it doesn't work out. In this case, my character would have an 18 in wisdom (with +2 modifer from human), and a 14 in dex and con while having 8's in strength, intelligence, and charisma. So no, I absolutely do not agree with this major change whatsoever.
Everything else I can live with, though I'm not hugely fond of the changes to spellcasting. I don't mind either way with the description of attacks/abilities - I can do it myself, or you can. I would assume the DM would do it, normally, as they're the ones who'd be in charge of what happens based on what the players do.
No it doesn't have anything to do with it, but that is pretty hilarious. Its from World of Warcraft.. one of my main character names over there from back years ago when I was a regular.
And yes, I know that all too well.. I'm DMing a S&S campaign here on the forums in addition to have ran it up to level 5 IRL. Its pretty daunting, although it went well IRL as I made up their personalities on the fly.
A simple spreadsheet can be a livesaver when it comes to attitudes.
Well to be honest, we don't know exactly *Why* we lost the DMs. They just kinda poofed. I'm assuming it is due to the disorganization of the very first DM. Dunno.
Also, would everyone rather stay on the pre-existing campaign thread or make a new one that is not as... cluttered as this one? This is a constitutional monarchy, so cast your vote and if it's a tie, I decide!
New one, absolutely. If the DM is unable to modify his own campaign tab, it won't go as well. I say we start fresh in that regards. Makes things easier, and hopefully we won't lose another DM due to clutter.

Bohd, that is understandable. Any particular weapons you are interested in that are not standard? Scythes, sickles, bolas, ect.?
Bohd still here and interested. As for the questions:
1: Human Storm Druid here, the divine aspect of the group with a bit of a 'crazy storm-chaser' mentality.
2: 1/day is fine, though 2-3 times a day may be a bit too much for me. We'd have to see.
3: Being all too familiar with the canon stuff of S&S, some things that I *Dont* know about will be very welcome, so I'm all for it. I like surprises.
4: Yes. Yes. YES. ER MAH GURD YES. *Ahem* Yes, I'd like that very much, including the Downtime rules if possible. I have no idea what I'd do in such a situtation given I didn't plan for it originally, but I'll come up with something. Perhaps a professional weather forecasting service and stormchasers. :3
5: Considering how long we've waited so far, another week won't kill us.
If ye guys be neeedin' another lad as backup, I'll be up for it. The one I'm playing as a druid in (This character) seems to have fallen apart.. DM's been a no-show for a while now.
I can make a character to fit any role needed (And I have no interest in a Ranger, which seems to be popular here!), so just hollar :P
I know that much Terz, I'm just curious if I also get a Daytime Ship Action so I can work Diligently. I'm going to assume so, in which case I'll work diligently and add the +4 to my con check. If I'm wrong, just take 4 from my Con check result)
Bohd examines the crew as he gets onboard the Wormwood, and doesn't notice anyone that caught his interest, so he instead speaks to Plugg, who seems to be in charge after the captain, "Nah magic? Ya don' even be wantin' magic tha' can predict tha' weatha'? Bah, me bein' reduc'd ta a simple saila'. Well, what be me job, eh? Bohd looks at Plugg as he speaks, arms crossed and obviously not happy that he's not allowed to do magic.
"Ey mons, ya be seein' what I be seein', or is mah mind playin' tricks on meh again?" Bodh wakes the others up, as he had taken the late night watch that night. He nudges each of the others awake, with his boot if necessary, and points yonder at a ship in the distance.
"Can't be seein' what flag they be flyin', but any ship be better than tha one we be on." Bohd takes the tip of his short spear, brings it close to his mouth as he whispers an incantation, and casts Light on the spearhead, before raising it as high as he can and waving it about, attempting to get the ship's attention.
"Mah name's be Bohd.. ya may jus' call meh Stormcalla', though." Bohd speaks in a very thick accent as he rows, "I be on da ship ta help with storms an' da like. We coulda' been fine in da storm, but as luck be havin' it, Gozreh did not mean for da ship ta be makin' it ta where she be goin'."
Although rowing quietly most of the day, reflecting on why Gozreh would sink the ship and strand him and four other people in the middle of no where, Bodh speaks momentarily to the Varisian with the food. "It be a good ting ya were able to save some of da food.. I be able ta fish for some, but ya can't be eatin' fish all da time. Ya be goin' ta ration it, an' share it with the rest of us, ya?"
Occasionally throughout the day, Bohd takes a moment to fill his salt water before casting a quick incantation on it. When given curious looks as to what he is doing, Bohd simply says, "I be purifyin' da water.. makin' it safe ta drink. If ya be needin' any, just hollah. I can do dese ta any spoiled food we be havin', too."
Although he does not need to rest to regain his spells, he does rest after a hard day worth of rowing, to regain his strength. In the morning, he had cast his usual Read Weather spell using his marked sticks to gain the next two day's weather report, to make sure the storm won't redouble itself upon them.
Honestly, I was hoping to start off on a raft or something, adrift and surviving off of purified sea-water (Yay Purify Food and Drink) and the occasional caught fish (Woo for Fishing Kit).
Alright guys, sorry for not finishing my char up anytime recently, now that I have my own S&S up and running, I can spend time finishing up this Druid!
I'll have his background and stuff done before the end of ze day. Raf, any idea how ye'd planned on getting him introduced onto the Wormwood? Might help me figure out a few things with his background.
