While waiting for the others to return, Blake searches the room while keeping an eye on the door watching for either his companions or the woman to return.

My intent with the ink was to cover all hiding spaces that were easy to get. I assume that if she was under the table the ink would have revealed her. DM may rule other wise though.

Based on my reading of the map and the description of the room given before the combat started the door Ethan is blocking is closed. So she is either in the room, or has slipped past me and left through this door. Is this deduction correct or have I missed something? I say we send some to check on the prisoner, but some should stay here and guard this door incase she is hiding well and plans to escape this way once we leave.

"It would seem she has slipped past us, unless...." Blake digs into his pack and pulls out a vial of ink. After quickly popping the seal, he uses his thumb to stopper the end and then starts shaking it. He sprays ink about the room, into the corners and shoeing his companions out of the way so they do not get hit with the spray. He is sporadic, changing directions quickly in hopes of using the ink to locate where the invisible woman may be hiding while not letting her keep ahead of where he is spraying the vial.

Blake swallows hard, he had hoped she would surrender. If she is that brazen then he is forced to follow through on his threat and attacks. Gritting his teeth he swings his blade.

Blake rushes into the room letting the long weapon fall to the floor as he pulls out his scimitar. "It does not matter how many images of you there are, we have you out numbered...and surrounded. Surrender now and I will make the same pledge to you I made to the mercenary. The leader is who we want and if you help us apprehended her I will speak favorably at your trial. Anything else and your blood will stain our blades, just like the bugbear's. Yield to us now and you will live."

I tend to be more conservative with the healing. I only need 1 hp and more likely than not the 1 hp isn't going to make a big difference keeping me alive...but getting more than one hp back later will be more useful than getting only one back now. In my opinion we should only use the wand if its three or more hp that are needed. But what ever the group decides I am cool with.

As the hellish canine finally dies, Blake sighs in relief and the physical strain from battling it and the bugbear shows on his face. He drags the hound into the room and pulls the doors closed. Looking around at his companions in the evilly decorated temple he considers their fate.

"Friends I think we are at difficult crossroads...we are obviously drained and need rest, but if we leave this place we lose all advantage of capturing our foe. I doubt it will go unnoticed for long that Bruthazmus is dead and that we have taken a prisoner. The goblins may be tolerating us for the moment, but I suspect that uneasy alliance will falter soon. My magical reserves are gone, without rest I am nearly useless in that regard. If what we suspect about Nualia is true, she has somehow infused herself with demonic powers I hate to say it...but we may be out of our depth in our current state. We must bring her to justice, so what do you say? Do we make a strategic retreat and hope we can find an advantage on the morrow, or do we press on?"

Noticing Runk ignore his words and slip on through a doorway, Blake curses slightly under his breath and follows after him calling out softly, "Runk...Runk...hold up, we must regroup."

I agree with Runk, we are story line committed to pressing on, but we are zapped of resources. I have no uses left of my Arcane Pool and only one spell left I think. Unless we can find a way to hide out in the complex and rest I think we have to try and take the last of the villains weakened.

Gritting his teeth to fight off pain, Blake stabs again hopeful this time he can sink the ranseur into this foul creatures hide and then release the stored electrical energy of his spell.

I was just looking at my Chracter sheet an notice the ransuer I am using was collected from the dungeon under town. Did I ever get it appraised or checked for magic?

Blake weakly rises, summers the last reserves of his magical reservoir to once again imbue the ranseur with power. Standing he thrusts it at the dog, "Leave my friend alone!"

Stooping down Blake retrieves his arcane infused ranseur, with a swift step he comes along side Runk and thrusts at the hound. "My apologies mister Runk, I do not know what came over me."

Mortified at himself for running and for being frightened of what now seems a harmless dog bark, Blake rushes back to aid his friends.

As soon as Blake is clear minded again he will turn and run back to help his friends as fast as he can. Just let me know what round he can reenter the action and the square he ends up in the round prior.

sometimes the best action is a stratigic retreat. Come back at them with our ears plugged.

logic says he would flee to safety and since he is going the way he came in he knows the way to safety which would be to go home.

Blake continues to flee as quick as he can.

I think this round will take me off the map, He would run back upstairs and try to head back out to the forest away from the building he is certain the hounds will be burning to the ground.

Unholy fear consumes Blake's thoughts as he watches the hounds howl and swoop. He lets go of the ransuer gets to his feet and takes off with out regard to his companions screaming, "Hell is coming after me!"

Pain, blackness, warmth...in an instand Blake finds himself aching and on the chambers floor. Blood and agony surge down his body as he pulls himself to his feet, summons the arcane energy to imbue the ranseur again and thrusts it at the closet of the creatures.

As the flying dogs swoop in Blake reacts by dropping his scimitar and pulling the ranseur. With a thought he imbues the pole arm with arcane power and stabs at the closest one.

As the door is opened he looks about trying to locate their quarry and following Runk through the door.

We have come to arrest you and take you to Sandpoint to face the charges of conspiring to hurt its citizenry and destroy their personal property. Come with us of your own accord and you will make it to trial alive. Do otherwise and your sentence could likely be your death."
