Male Human Druid 1

Geez, I'm incredibly sorry for not posting. I've been wicked busy with work and school and with the way this week looks I don't know if I will remember to post. I have finals this week for college. I want to apologize in advance for all the delay I've caused. >.>

Male Human Druid 1

Round 4, Part 2

The arrow came suddenly to Benjamin, just like the pain. Now he was injured and he couldn't get these ravens off of him.

Strength:1d20 ⇒ 12
Strength:1d20 ⇒ 7

Struggling with the blasted ravens did him no good. He was still in their grasp. If he could see where that arrow came from though, perhaps he could warn the others.

Perception:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19

Male Human Druid 1

Benjamin could only watch as the others were blown back by the surge of water. Hearing the ravens only made him more fearful. As the ravens got closer, he swung at a group.

AoO:1d20 ⇒ 2
Damage:2d4 ⇒ (3, 2) = 5

Reflex:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Having missed the ravens, they quickly enclosed on him. This enraged Benjamin and only caused him to struggle to get free.

Strength:1d20 ⇒ 1

Such horrible rolls ;_; Hopefully this won't happen much ;_;

Male Human Druid 1

From behind the men, Benjamin couldn't see well, mostly because they were larger than him. He would have to go on what they said.

A beast in the water? It could be highly possible. But who was the person, or thing, feeding it? That seemed to way more on Benjamin's mind.

Sticking close to the Djatrix, Benjamin keeps a close eye on his surrounding, just in case if the attacker or attackers came from behind, and this "fountain" was just a decoy.

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8

Male Human Druid 1

I forgot to mention earlier that anything Benjamin says in fluid sentences is him speaking in Common. If it is choppy and broken, he's speaking Draconic ;D

Benjamin eyes the flowers and then Palag. "Sorry. I haven't the spell ready to tell if they are magical or not. Hold on to them and I can later."

He continued to follow behind the group. He eyed the ravens and frowned. Animals, even more annoying than the regular kind. He wouldn't hesitate to attack them if they flew even close to the group.

Male Human Druid 1

Benjamin gladly allowed the warriors ahead of him. He was a druid after all. The spells he had prepared were more for support casting than offensive. He would make due with being in the back of the pack for now.

Male Human Druid 1

Sorry about the not posting again D: When your at work and school for 6 hours+ it really drains me @.@ I'll try to post more often.

Benjamin quietly prepares his things by himself. He didn't have much to prepare anyways. He kept a close eye out on their surroundings while they did, it was too early in the morning to start it off with an ambush.

Survival: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28

Know. Geography: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

Male Human Druid 1

As the group settled in, Benjamin tries to find some work he could do. He didn't like sitting around doing nothing much. He'd rather work a bit than relax. He decides on asking the farmers first if they had anything he could do.

"Excuse me gentlemen. I know my group and I have only arrived, but I would like to ask if I can be of any assistance? I won't ask for any payment, I just need something to do to pass the time."

DM:
He was about 11-12 years of age, probably right in the middle when the incident happened.

Male Human Druid 1

AH! I am incredibly sorry for not posting! >.> Between work, school, and laziness because I thought we were buying stuff still I didn't know there were posts toward me! Sorry! I'll post answers above my post, I split them with a line so you know the difference :P

Benjamin turns toward Tharrek. "We don't all use scythes. I suppose mine is used to help me harvest fruits and vegetables while I am out. It does a fine job of killing hunt as well."

The stone seemed odd to him. Even though he had lived most of his life outside of the city, he had not seen any stones such as that. Keeping that in his mind, he would have to be on the look out for them as they adventured.

----------------------------------------

The morning's wake made Benjamin rethink things from yesterday's meeting. Was it really destiny that entwined the group? Or was it really just dumb luck? How much did this merchant know of the Rift? If so, did he obtain it from eye witness or was it babbled to him? As the Lizardfolk readied their new supplies, Benjamin stood patiently for their departure. He had been waiting for a long time to get to the Rift.

Male Human Druid 1

Again, Benjamin could care less about what the talk was about. It didn't seem to interest him. He liked what he heard about the creatures however. The creatures the merchant described didn't seem too powerful in the least, and with a group their size shouldn't be too much trouble. At least he was getting one step closer. One step closer to his hatred, revenge and perhaps ultimate doom.

Benjamin was already quite confident in what he had prepared item wise. He was already carrying a large load and anymore than that would make it difficult to carry much more. He settled for what he had and if he needed things he probably need only ask the other men for something. They all seemed nice enough to help one another. Benjamin couldn't help but think he was getting a free ride to the Rift, and the others were merely there to help him get his way.

Deciding to stay with the group for now, he will follow the group to wherever they go for the night.

Male Human Druid 1

Although Benjamin was at the table with the rest, he couldn't take his attention away from his lamb. The tastes and flavor were extravagant and caused him to pay little to what the others had to say. He heard the part about mounts, but he never really got along with animals anyways, something the druids that raised him were quite concerned about.

Benjamin licks his lips and cleans his fingers as he not only finished his meal satisfied, but was now willing to listen in on the conversation. The ruins didn't interest him, it was the creatures that lived there that did. "So you have been to the Rift before, Mr. Lolfi. Tell me, what sort of creatures live in the Rift? I have only heard of druid fairy tales of the horrible creatures from those parts, but have yet to see one with my eyes."

Male Human Druid 1

Benjamin was a bit jealous when he saw the lavish display for the lizardfolk. It reminded him though that he had ordered some food and hadn't gotten yet. Benjamin turns to the chef and politely asks, "Sir, Djagu was it, can I ask you what is the status on the lamb I ordered? After seeing your display here, my hunger calls for a delicious meal. I cannot wait to see how you prepare it." He meant what he had said. He hadn't had any type of special meal before. He was used to hunting, catching, and cooking his meals on the spot.

Male Human Druid 1

Benjamin nods his approval. He didn't mind being the only human in the group, aside from the merchant's partners. It will give him some time to brush up on his Draconic. "I am in. I cannot allow the Rift to expand, among other things.."

His voice drifts off as he drew his attention to Vess'Sothek. He tries his best to remember what he can and mutters probably the worst Draconic they've ever heard. "Your Common bad. My Draconic badder." He gave a nervous smile, hoping he had said what he meant."Name Benjamin."

Male Human Druid 1

Perception:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22

Benjamin was surprised by the sudden commotion, but knew it wouldn't scale to a brawl. Even if it did, he wouldn't waste his time bloodying his scythe without a purpose.

Know. Nature:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23

As the cook shambles back into the kitchen, Banjamin offers his words on the subject.

"I don't know about your gods, but perhaps fate has brought us together. I have no quarry traveling with others. As long as we are able to reach the Rift, I am in for the idea."

Sense Motive: Autopass! :D

Although the barkeep kept saying bad things about the merchants, the only ones that seemed bad out of them were the humans that left. This vesh seemed at least somewhat trustworthy in his words.

Quickly downing the rest of his ale, he placed the mug on the counter and stood up, awaiting the other responses.

Male Human Druid 1

As Benjamin drew the mug to his lips for another sip, he stopped midway to address the voice. He looked over to see the mask wearing vesh "looking" at him. It was hard to tell with that mask he was wearing. "I have...unfinished business in the Rift you see..." Benjamin looks away before looking back. He seemed to be lost in thought for the few seconds. "Going to the Rift by oneself would be suicide, I'm looking for a group perhaps that would be willing to take me there, perhaps as a guard as they traveled." No longer wanting to talk about the subject of the Rift, he changed the subject.

"That is a nice mask you are wearing, it is finely crafted. No doubt a fine owl's image."

Male Human Druid 1

DM only:
If your wondering, the message he is trying to relay is that even though the merchants might be jerks, they still could be his only way to get to the Rift :P

Male Human Druid 1

Perception:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18

Benjamin smirked at the reply to the barkeep. "That's alright. Even if the food is a bit bad, it is food after all." Looking up at the barkeep, he hoped his message got through. "As for my meal, lamb will do fine, thank you." He slumped up against the counter and took another sip of the ale as he waited for his lamb to be cooked.

Male Human Druid 1

A chuckle came from Benjamin as he looked at the ale. "Aye, I don't. Like I said, alcohol and I aren't the best of friends. He smiled to the bartender.

Benjamin took a sip from the mug as he looked for the waiter. Once he saw him, he gave a light shout over to him. "Waiter, can I perhaps get some venison if you can, lightly cooked. If not whatever kind of meat you have will do." He took another sip from the mug before turning back to the barkeep. "If you don't mind me asking, I have a question for you. Have you heard of any groups or adventurers heading toward the Rift as of late?"

Male Human Druid 1

The first thing Benjamin noticed upon entering the Wicker Warrior was the smell. It had a lovely pungent smell of fine foods, but he couldn't help but smell the sweat and stink as well. Looking around the tavern, no one seemed out of place to him. People were working, gambling, having a good time, and not too many people were here as well. Perhaps he could get a bit of information from here after all. Walking up to the bar, he took a seat somewhat away from the others at the bar, an empty seat between him and them. He tried not to stare much at the others as he looked around before looking at the bartender.

"I'll take a cup of ale if you don't mind. Nothing too strong." Benjamin said, getting comfortable in his seat. "Alcohol and I aren't the best of friends ya see."

Male Human Druid 1

I'm fine with starting at either one, although I think it might be easier for me to join the group in we started at the Wicker Warrior.

Ok, added the backstory to my profile ^^ Finally done! Looking forward to the pbp now!

Would you like me to add something like through the heat, confusion, and questions, his mind couldn't focus on what to do next and he fled the scene, or something like that? :D

Backstory:
When one is curious about the world, then tend to try and learn about it. That's how Benjamin was when he was younger. He was fascinated with the world around him and his parents helped indulge him in the experience. They lived in a small house outside of Riftview, about a mile outside toward the Rift. There, his parents were herbalist and alchemist, studying plants and using them as a way to create new medicine and potions. They liked explaining what and how plants were used in their research to their son. In time, Benjamin slowly began to learn much from his parents.

However, this life was not meant to be. One day, Benjamin's parents sent him out to fetch water for them. When he got back he found their house a burning inferno. The bucket of water slipped from his hands and he stared in disbelief. The 12 year old boy couldn't believe what he was looking at. He didn't know or understand what had caused the fire, but he knew what had happened. The Rift. Creatures from it must have attacked the house. His parents had warned him of the Rift. Powerful, evil creatures lurked in the Rift and now they had destroyed his home, his love, his life. Fleeing the scene in tears, he couldn't look back at the thing that used to be his house.

Alone in the wild, Benjamin knew no survival skills. It surely seemed like the end for him soon. It would have been like that, had he not been found by two wandering druids. They claimed the could hear nature told them of a child who had a tragic incident, claiming Benjamin was that child. They asked if they could help him, outstretching an arm to him. Benjamin didn't trust the people exactly, but they wanted to help and he didn't know what else to do. Reaching out to the hand, he accepted their help.

For the next few years, the druids taught Benjamin on their ways. Eventually, he learned to communicate to the Green Faith. Once he was 20, the druids left him, saying they taught him everything they could for now. He had to live for himself. Benjamin thanked the druids for all they did for him and watched on the plains as they left. With his new power, he was sure of one thing. He would take revenge on the Rift for what it had done years ago. With his knowledge of the druidic powers, he planned to cleanse the Rift any way he could. Going back into Riftview, after being away from civilization for so long, seemed alien to him. He had to find someone to help his cause.

Alright, I put the armor check penalty into the shield and the max dex in armor to make the stats appear correct. Sorry about that ^^; Will have up the backstory in a couple of minutes hopefully.

I think I'll stick with profession herbalist for now and build into craft alchemy later perhaps.

As for the tindertwigs, I like tindertwigs :D

I've already looked over somethings about the campaign and such, will do a more detailed look tonight or tomorrow morning.

I won't be able to post a backstory until later tonight as I have work in 20 minutes @.@ sorry about the delay.

ACK! Sorry about the confusion! This is a separate account from his. Sorry about that! DX

As for Pathfinder, I am very familiar with 3.5 as it is the only version I've really played. Granted I've never really got far in a campaign, I'm willing to try my hand at one on here. :D

Looks like my brother left the sheet on my desktop so I finished him XD

As for backstory, I'm still fleshing him out. I'll have that up as soon as I finish :D also I would appreciate some ideas since I still don't know much about the world yet XD
