Talisman of the Puissant Familiar
Three times per day the wearer may transfer control of a spell, that requires concentration to maintain, to their familiar. The familiar can only maintain the spell. It cannot change any of the spell’s parameters. If forced to make a concentration check while maintaining the spell the familiar is considered to have a caster level equal to his master. When commanded the familiar can use a standard action that does not provoke attacks of opportunity to consume the spell it is maintaining, gaining one ability from the list below. 1st - 9rd level spells: The familiar gains an moral bonus to an ability score equal to the level of the spell for 1 hour.

That particular item reminds me of an item in the Night Angel trilogy written by Brent Weeks.

Take good care of yourself. My wife has been flattened by a succession of nasty bugs. She mentioned to me today she thought she would feel better if she could remove her head. When I replied I'd seen a wondrous item that would do that, I received "the look" in return.

Heh, I think a little alliteration goes a long way and I never down vote just for that, but when they start to make up words or just force it which is generally obvious then I get annoyed.

Do they automatically link the item to your account, or can I keep it anonymous if it doesn't make top 32? Pretty sure if you don't make the top 32 it never has to see the light of day unless you want it to.

I have seen no fewer than 3 different types of banners and I cannot think of a single time I have ever seen one in play. We had a guy in our gaming group for three months that made the most useless rogue we had ever laid eyes on. The only job we counted on him for was planting a magical banner we acquired early on.
The group I am running for is close to finishing Maiden, Mother, Crone. So far they have enjoyed it. The Snows of Summer had a lot of challenge built in from the harsh winter environment. Winter conditions still play a role in the Shackled Hut but are less severe assuming your players take measures to mitigate the environment. My group found The Shackled Hut on the easy side. This was primarily due to the Fighter with the Archer archetype owning a lot of the encounters. Maiden, Mother, Crone on the other hand has been owning them and as of the last session they are all now completely out of hero points, after each started the module with a full load.
I have new character coming into a campaign played a druid. His plan is to control opponents through both grappling and trip. So far the only thing we don't have clear answer for is what happens if he or his animal companion is grappling a foe and the other one successfully trips it. Normal it would fall prone, but if it is grappled by another is this still true. Also, what happens to the grappler since I don't believe he can release the grapple until his next turn in the sequence. |
